The Way of the Exploding Fist is a fighting game for the C64 developed by Beam Software and published by Melbourne House in 1985. It has a unique mechanic in that the player needs to reach 2 points by punching or kicking their opponent before they do. When time runs out, the winner is determined by whoever has more points. The fights get progressively harder as the player progresses.
nymx ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/nymx ) defeats the 10th Dan in record time.

Thanks. I was pretty shocked at that mechanic exploit that I found. Otherwise, it would have been very slow.
It should be called the way of the exploding shin kick
The background is really nice
Ah. My childhood. When games took eons to load.
That's a lot of Dans.
sweep the leg
Yes kids, back in the days of cassette and even floppy disk loading, this was the normal time to wait. Personal high as a kid was a 10 minute load time for one game.
the bg art and music is nice :)
3rd kyu for the TAS.
That scream sound at the title screen tho
The Way of the Exploding Foot.
One: Always a fan of nymx's TAS'es. Two: Had me at "Exploding Fist" in the title. The rest of it could have been followed up with "...Tax Accountant Simulator" and I would have still been pumped.
I'm sold on 'Tax Accountant Simulator'. Maybe in bundle with its DLC: 'IRS Audit'
wow. Tax Accountant Simulator. Don't temp me!
Finally a TAS of a decent game
Sorry about that. I've had my mind set on completing that Compute's Gazette library.
@@nymx_ Haha
that name
初段、弐段、参段…十分な黒帯を持ってきていないと思います
Could this be the inspiration for Street Fighter?
Why Tas is Only For Old Games?
TASing PC games is hard and current tools make most impossible to TAS, and for consoles you need an emulator with TAS tools and that is deterministic, so it requires a lot of work to get a new console to be TASable.
Most modern games are too complex to work identically every time for the same set of player inputs, even if they don't have any explicitly randomized elements.
This game basically International Karate even both player and cpu has same ki color
