"Well, if I die, you die. Goodbye." Oh, my Jesus. This was around the time where Sega was more than a little too hands-on with localization; Most famously the "Ash-dropping"; Changed many colors around; Nerfed all the characters, added too many enemies and called it "higher difficulty"; Rewrote the entire story and all the dialogue, so we get 6th-grade howlers like that line.
Worst part is, SOR1 and SOR2 were completely fine! I don’t know why they started having massive problems after the third. I can understand Ash getting removed, he seems like a political nightmare at the time; having a gay person at all would piss of the right, and having a gay caricature would piss of the left. Everything else is just objectively worse with no real silver lining to it all. The shitty colour changes don’t hide the fact that the players are reusing there SOR2 clothes, so I don’t even know why they bothered.
Um dos melhores beat 'em up de todos os tempos, não se fazem mais jogos tão divertidos assim! Fora que esses gráficos e música são espetaculares para a época, grande Yuzo Koshiro 😁👌
I love that all the enemies feel peer pressured to jump into the super slap spot when you guys are doing the downward jump attack. "Hey they all got slapped 50x per second, I need this in my life too!"
When I was a kid I always liked Nintendo better than Sega. However this game made me want a Sega. I would play this all the time with my uncles at my grandmother's house. Then I would play zelda on my Nintendo at home. Man I loved those days.
@@solarflare9078 My main problem with Western release is they ABSOLUTELY messed up with difficulty! As result we have enemies with too much health and who take away much health! What's worse is there will be even more enemies whose health bars will also be increased if you're playing with 2 player!
Streets of Rage… loved all the series! Hilarious that I was playing at such a young age and never once thought about the fact I was beating the crap out of random women.
I commented a while back that Sega of A made too many changes to the Japanese original, and one was to artificially increase difficulty by doubling the enemies and nerfing all the characters. If this was the original, it would take maybe half this long.
Yeah it was a tough slog for sure. I liked that it was super hard on hard mode though, kept me coming back. And I still haven't completed it on that mode to this day lol
I wish i could body slam Axel Robot with blaze like that hahaha Great TAS, i would've taken Axel though for more speed, he's faster in my opinion. The only thing i didn't saw in the run was the last boss AI break, you can basically break his AI and infinite combo him with axel and all the hit register.
Zan looks like Master Roshi with a bionic upper body, truly epic game! I miss the 90s..the kangaroo with boxing gloves 😂 if this game came out in this era, it would be lawsuit for animal abuse, woman abuse, robot abuse(coming soon) trans abuse, the list goes on lol
USA censored Ash (a gay playable character) and they altered the color of Axel and Blaze for some reason, but Ash alone make totally worth to play the Japanese version

the best thing Sega did was left Streets of Rage alone, if they continued probably would ruined the series, by no means SOR3 is a bad game, but it clearly shows fatigue compared to the past ones, so better end when the games are still good than destroy the franchise like they did with Golden Axe and many others
Nintendo wins in terms of visuals. Sega wins in terms of sound. Nintendo had better exclusives such as zelda, contra, double dribble, mike tyson punch out, mario bros, tecmo bowl, rbi baseball and so many more. However sega did have, streets of rage one two and three. Also had more adult fighting games like that one game I cant remember but it had 3 guys you fight with and it looked so real back then. Someone help me out. It was this fighting game where the guys were dressed like wrestlers but they were hard core street fighters in this like building with other people surrounding them. Omg please someone help me. What was the name of that game?

for me nintendo is like family friendly game. while sega give you straight badass game. just like robocop vs terminator. the snes version is like rated pg robocop 2014 you know family friendly, while sega ver. give you the original rated m robocop 1987 with full blood and gore.

We will never forget the 8 life bars 🤦♂️
Im suprise that BK3/Bare knuckle 3 was less challenging
@@DJDarryl88 AND that it had a boss which was never showed on the US version. His name is Ash.

It's Dance Time!
Always thumbs up for dance time
Imagine being at the bottom of that construction level with all them bodies coming down, like "what the hell is going on up there?" Lol
I loved this tas since 2013. Glad to see it in better quality
This brings back so many great childhood memories man.

Well? Why not? Lol
Zan: HOOOAARRGHHH

Wow! Seeing the game played like this almost makes Streets of Rage 3 look like it isn't the single worst thing to bare the series name!
That sideways beating trick broke the whole game.

ahh.. the censored version of bare knuckle 3

Why does this game take so long to beat, even with tool aassisted perfection? It takes half the time to clear SoR 1+2 on hardest difficulty

blame it on Blockbuster
Enemies in US and PAL versions have way more health. Just look at Yamato. He has freaking 12 health bars to go through before you kill him.
