    Okay sooo guys that was our reaction to “Thor” & all I can say is what an amazing movie, we really enjoyed this one, full of emotions, surprises and excitement, some parts were a bit confusing so we have a few questions I’m gonna need you to help answer, but all In all it was a great watch can’t wait for you guys to see our reaction to Captain America....TH-cam is currently making it a bit difficult to upload these as frequently as I’d like due to copy write issues so I’m often re editing them over and over, before they get passed so please take that into account if though the upload times may vary, other than that hope you guys enjoyed the reaction and for the latest and up to date reactions check out the Patreon we’re on Phase 2 over there 🔥🔥🔥 ...(Also I tried to do something about the moon and background so it makes it a bit easier to watch hope that helps)

      Sucks that you’re having trouble with copystrikes. I’ve noticed some reactors putting some print (watermarks, I suppose) over the video. I wonder if that’s possibly a way to get them through with less difficulties?
      I always enjoy seeing you guys react, looking forward to Captain America🙂

      Maybe you already know it, since you are on Phase 2, but just be careful: there is not only post-credits scenes, but also mid-credits scenes, sometimes even both, sometimes even multiple in just one movie 😉

      @toqkaizogou1636 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For post-credit scenes, it's wise not to skip the actual credits. There are certain films where these scenes are part of the credits and all those who skip through the credits, end up missing them. It's wiser to let the credits play through while you have your discussions.

      Dunno how the copyright works, but you should check out Holden Hardman's channel. He's kinda doing the same series as you guys, but maybe you could get some inspiration from his editing, cus it seems to work very well!

    Loki always felt his fathers coldness, but never knew why, untill he found out he was a frost giant, he thought HE was saving asgard from THOR because as u know Thor would not have been a good king before he was kicked out. He wanted to kill the frost giants to prove to Odin that Odin was his real father and that he was worthy of his love, that he is not a frost giant...but his true son. And after all that...when Odin said no, he killed himself.

      @@isaacalzate8262 the reason why P.W. wrote their comment like that was to not spoil that. Anyone watching the movie for the first time would take what Loki did as suicide from having a broken heart over being rejected by those he had always known as family. So the surprise (if they didn’t watch the end credits scene or if they forgot about the end credits scene) would be massive in later movies.

      I have to agree, I remember when I watched for the first time this movie and I was surprised by Loki as a character, and then he straight up "commit suicide", I was SHOCKED to say the least, and for some strange reason everyone saying that Odin was a great parent? I was laughing at that shit half of the movie. Then Loki showed up looking all...sickly and I say... Oh here we go... He's going to be the big bad guy huh 🙃. I'm glad they divert that trope but you know... He did try to kill himself, but the dude just won't die 🤭.

      @@isaacalzate8262 Wrong, there are MANY clues as to point out that he was meaning to kill himself, but then Thanos, The moth- Mad Titan found him and along with his children as well as the Chituri(Sorry, wrong spelling probably) tortured him and eventually mind controlled him into engaging Earth and retrieving the Tesseract, which withholds one of the Infinity Stones, The Space Stone, one of the clues to that is the fact that his eyes are an icy blue not green like in this movie, just like how Clint’s turned that icy blue from brown I presume.Therefore, NO he did attempt to end himself, but got caught up in all of the Thanos stuff.

    Thor is still Thor, with or without the hammer. Thor is the God of Thunder, so "power of Thor" refers to that. Meaning if someone else were worthy named Gerald, and could pick up the hammer, He would now have the same powers as the God of Thunder. Thor'd be kicking it off to the side, while Gerald was hurling lightning.

    Love the lore behind Asgard and the 9 Realms. Why Thanos didn’t come for the Tesseract when Asgard still stood tall and strong. Because they’re a race of war and conquest, and brought the universe to peace and prosperity through war and bloodshed. No doubt, even the greatest races that we know of know about Asgard, and the reason they don’t meet, is because others are scared of their power. They are the only race we know of that have both Longevity, and supernatural abilities, and are the descendants of Celestials (Ymir, the embodiment of Yggdrasil, most likely being a celestial himself). It’s just amazing to watch and learn about Modern Asgard; Lore, Technology, Culture, etc.

    the scene where Loki confronts Odin before he falls into the Odin sleep after watching all the movies since this one really shows how vulnerable and hurt he really is. Really helps to humanise him and feel sympathy for him, especially in the context of the next movies

    Asguardians live for many thousands of years, Odin is REALLY old, and sometimes he sleeps for a long while, called the Odinsleep. Something most likely to do with regenerating his mind/spirit/body.

    Everyone is great in this movie, and some are outstanding, but god-damn, could I watch Anthony Hopkins read the phone book! He's got some great lines, but the *power* he puts behind them is mesmerizing. Can't take your eyes off him.
    In the wrong hands, all this stuff could seem kinda silly, but the gravitas of this production was just amazing. The tone was spot-on.

    Originally in the script Loki shows Laufey what he is and calls him father. Laufey recognises him as "the bastard son", and said he was surprised Odin didn't leave a little weakling like him to die as well.
    Loki hates and is afraid of the frost giants because of the stories he was told of them when he was young, so now he's trying to get rid of them all so that he'll never have to deal with the fact that he's what he and everyone else in Asgard hates and fears. As a result he both does and doesn't want to be Odin and Frigg's son. Kind of wish they'd included his wife Sign (goddess of fidelity) in this franchise, I think it could have worked. Like when Odin said that he'd thought they could bring about an alliance Loki could've said "Is that why you let me marry Sigyn?" angry because he now feels that it's more about political alliances than his or Sigyns happiness (I think in all versions of the original myths she loved him whether or not he loved her changes with the stories but in the story I'm seeing in this movie he does) and then starts withdrawing from her not telling her anything about what he's planning on doing other than assuring her that their boys (originally they had two sons Vali and Narfi) would both inherit a peaceful world to live in and to rule. Just an idea I've been toying with. I also see her as being Lady Sif's best friend though she's not much of a fighter (knows how to use a sword, just not as skilled as Sif is).

    Thor's a norse god who's been worshipped since viking times or before

  • @blueroninstudios
    @blueroninstudios 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thematically this film operates on so many levels, the most obvious one being how an arrogant prince begins his journey to being more responsible, more human more WORTHY of the power granted him by his father. That's really what makes Thor a good character, he can be humorously arrogant but it was this adventure that humbled him. He had to become human to know humility, selflessness, he was brought low as punishment from his father after he nearly started a war (and, yes, most of the blame goes to Loki for orchestrating the entire thing).
    So in a way, it's sort of a redemption arc for Thor.
    In the comics, he actually had a secret identity of Dr. Don Blake, an MD with a cane and a leg ailment, but when he struck the cane, he became Thor. For years it was thought that Blake was his secret identity, until it was actually revealed that Thor and Blake were the same person, that he was an alien prince from a realm called Asgard. He had been banished by Odin with no memory of his past. So when it was revealed, he jsut was Thor all the time.
    Most of the better comicbook stories work their best when you think about certain characters decisions that clearly define who they are as individuals - good or evil decisions make good or evil characters. Thor is trying to make a point about power vs humility.

  • @Belnick6666

    in the MCU the hammer seem to give thor his powers, but he is the god of thunder because Odin mated with Mother Nature/Earth/Moder Jord/Gaia because he wanted to create a being from both worlds, who had powers from two places....he got the thunder, rain, that nature control and his speed from his mother then plus everything else that a normal asgard would have, Thor rarely use his speed because of his strength and how he like the fight :o but Thor can move at the speed of a lightning strike if he wish so, which is ~270,000 mph

With the lady (sorry I didn’t catch your names) really seeing the deeper meaning behind things and making him think. So good. Thor is a great movie, shame they needed to change his “tone” for the masses in later movies.
