It's interesting to note that the 767's replacement, the 787, managed to garner 8x more orders at rollout compared to the 767. How different the aviation industry is after 3 decades.

      tiadaid:
Unstable price of Kerosene and great leaps in the Range of Medium and Large Twins (not excluding Narrow-Body to) is why.
Remember, Carriers can "Write Off" insane Depreciation values of their new jets on their Corporate taxes....as long as a Carrier has Positive Cash Flow.....renewing Narrow-Body and Wide-Body Fleets on much shorter cycles seems to be the norm since the 767,A330 (which was/is a revamped A300), and 777 were introduced.

At least Boing didn’t have to consider cigarette damage with 787! What insanity prevailed in times past!

Don Giovanni was composed by W.A.Mozart, and he was Austrian! Not German/ Austrian. What the heck? I mean, L.v.B was German. Haydn (Austrian), Mozart, and Beethoven are the name-giving composers of the Viennese Classical period. The Frenchman got that wrong, after all the fine schooling he went through. I am not as well educated, but I remember what I've been taught.

Airbus A320 was a global success that Boeing had to make 3 generation of 737s to compete with, which Boeing is still not fly-by-wire
