The first Boeing 767-200 entered service with TWA on December 2, 1982, flying cross-country from Los Angeles to Washington Dulles International Airport.
What I think is amazing is that we just have to use our imagination about these amazing seats and configurations. I want to see what the Ambassador seat looks like! What was I missing out on in 1982?
There was nothing 'amazing' about these seats and configurations. One problem with the 767 was the cabin width. Although this allows a nice 2 X 3 X 2 configuration in Y class, reducing the number of centre seats and, I believe, allowing for a very slightly wider seat than on a 737, the opposite holds true in F and C class where a 7 abreast Y configuration is reduced by only 1 seat per-row to a 6 abreast configuration making for a very narrow F class seat. Look at the F class seats in the video at 7.54. I don't know if these are the real seats or this is a mock up of the cabin, but look at the width of the armrests compared to normal F class armrest width ... these look more like Y class armrests. These seats also lack the traditional wide centre armrest of F class seats with the little drinks table. Many airlines opted for 5 abreast seating in F class 2 X 1 X 2 or 1 X 2 X 2.
that was the good old 3 class configuration FIRST, AMBASSADOR and ECO. TWA SO GREAT IN THOSE YEARS. They even flew the B-767 to Berlin, Germany.
Thank you for watching, Claus. I hope to have more videos uploaded soon, so keep watching!
Oh wow, nice looking airplane. I hope TWA will never go out of service!
..TWA (1930-2001) exist no more..absorbed by American in 2001..
@@BB-dp4kh I think they were kidding.
You might wanna sit down for this...
Yeah…about that….breaking news
I miss TWA. What is my favorite airline.
Flew on a AirNZ 762 from Wellington to Auckland in 1986 & a 763 from Sydney to Auckland in 1996 before they got their winglets.
You’d think this a Boeing Dealer commercial due to all the “flashing” of the features on the bottom of the screen. 🤣🤣🤣
Even better that they keep flashing that and talking about it..... and don't show any interior pictures to the very end and even then briefly
RIP TWA
love that forward tilting gear!
The 767-200 did look cute, you must admit. And though it may have been rather dated by then, it did look good in TWA livery.
2:50 “129 coach seats “?! Even the -200 had 174 (3-class) or 214 (2-class). Surely they were confused.

Flew on a TWA 762 from GVA to CDG
The Boeing 767 was the first jetliner with the two-person "glass cockpit."
Hot little number in red & white when it came out.
The liveried jet flew for Cameroon airlines until it was broken up in 2014 :(
That's a gooooooooood looookin airplane yup!
11:10That's being a little selective with the facts. Compared with a JT8D, yes, but I think these early ones had JT9Ds the same as on 747-100s
It was the first aircraft by Boeing that offered a choice of power plants. P&W JT-9D or GE CF-6. Both choices offered 48,000 lbs. Max thrust.
7:50 - LOL, first class zeats
They look more like economy seats today!😅
MBGA….”Make Boeing Great Again”…….😄
