Great tutorial, I'm gradually starting to understand the OT and the record set up buttons and Pickup machines etc.

I understand what you are saying about undo on a looper, but I think you are missing a feature. If you use one2 without setting the length, the first time you punch out on a track, and then that is the master. then other tracks will slave to the length and everything is auto-synced. Then you also don't have to worry about the length sync (track+tempo) thing. Thanks for this and all the other nice videos.

master/slave pickup machines. p56 in the manual is what i was trying to say there.

Thanks for watching! In all honestly I haven't used Pickup Machines since, and when I wanted to a few months back, I had to re-watch my own tutorial to figure it out 😂🤣🙈

Can you sync the pickup track to the tempo. I would ideally start off with a beat or click. all the videos I see everything starts with the first pickup machine and the tempo is based off of that.

I'm pretty sure you can do that: just don't set it as a master loop. I haven't used Pickup Machines since that video was made to be honest, but from what I remember it's totally doable.

Thanx, I just recently started using pick ups too. I didnt know about the track+tempo to sync, maybe I should read the manual ; )
Side note: I thought it was funny you keep reaching for the Vol knob, which is actually the headphone vol as you prob know, (my only gripe with my Octa).
BTW are you on Elektronauts forum ?

Yeah, it's like a nervous tick I have :) I'm registered with Elektronauts but I rarely use it (mostly via I end up there via google search, really).

      Cool.
Great channel btw, and how awsome is the MS20 mini ! I love mine (+Octa) anyway keep up the good work.

Thanks! MS20 mini is awesome! The cool thing about it is that it sounds like nothing else: you can always tell that it's an MS20.

Nice video again! What was wrong with your octatrack? This thing seems to have lot of issues. I'm bit worried if my unit is going to broke up too. 😳

Thanks! It was the third time I had to send it back. 2x faulty internal PSU. This time though it was more my fault: my building had a severe power outage and I was sampling from an FM radio at the time. The radio fried my AB inputs. But Elektron support--best in the game--they took care of everything in about a week!
