This song is probably the song that has grown on me the most after listening to 72 Seasons a few dozen times. It's definitely my 3rd favorite song behind 72 Seasons, which I liked a lot after hearing it a couple times and Inamorata, which I remember saying it was their best song since Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me from Load the first time I heard it.
@@christiannielsen5575 So happy they play that song live, was worried it might not happen for a long time at all just because of the length of it but is one of James' favorites thankfully so maybe he pushed for it
Standing tight enough together, they could be in a garage. And so, so deep into the riff, into the groove. Just knockout! And Robert has the biggest smile on his face. So great to see!
What I love about this song is that the riff at 3:13 appears three or four times in the song, but Lars plays a different beat under it each time so it feels completely different. Those are the highlights of this one for me.
Yeah, it's a lesson in building up a riff through arrangements. It's like they're teasing it throughout the song then fully unleash it at the end driving the outro.
@@thomasthulievre286maybe but he sings much better now. He really struggled with some songs back in the day when he wasn’t just growling through them. In the 90s he struggled to sing nothing else matters correctly he literally sings it way better now. Same as fade to black he sings that much better now than he did in the 80s and 90s

@@loadreload I’ll never regret it, I’ve grown up listening to Metallica and always wanted to go to a concert, and this whole tour in general was amazing and I loved it
Metallica is unstoppable and I am so proud to say that when I first hear them back in the And Justice for all album it clicked right away and is been a hell of a journey living history album after album listening, breathing, enjoying, witnessing experiencing every Moment of METALLICA. I have seen them on every tour and one day yes one my fucking all time dream is to fucking hugs this humans. One day and that day will come
Glad to see that james does the same soundes in-between course, like the shhhhh sounds I do the same thing when I'm singing along in the car while this song is blasting, it makes me happy I decided to do that sound not to long ago , and to see james do what I do live is unbelievable made my day , thank you METALLICA
This song ripped like every other song in the set. The heavy breakdown style riff made me wanna headbang (I'm too old for that nowadays so I resisted), but I loved every minute of the show and was so happy I got to share it with my stepson. My first time seeing y'all was in 2004 around the same time of year in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center with my dad, and I was 14. My stepson is 14, so to have that parallel between his first Metallica show and mine was just something special.
Is it me, or has Robert truly, deeply come into his own as the bass player for the world’s greatest rock band? All the videos from this 72 Seasons tour literally and figuratively show him tighter into the circle with the other boys. The intro and first verse with all four of them playing so physically close around Lars gives me chills every time. They are sooo deep in the pocket on the riff, and it’s Rob leading the way, man. And looking every second like he’s having the time of his life.
I was at this show with two of my nephews. It was their first concert ever. After the Sunday show, I told them “Well, boys, every concert you go to from now on will be competing for second place because how the fuck do you top two says of Metallica?” Thank you for two great evenings and lifelong memories.
Being here was a blessing I loved every moment of it, I first learned about Metallica 2 years ago when I watched stranger things season 4 and since I’ve been addicted too Metallica, this was the closest they have been too my city and I was able too go too this, thank you dad
Thank god my chemistry teacher got me to listen to this album. Originally I was told this album was bad so I thought It was trash. She asked if I liked Metallica because I was wearing a Ride The Lightning shirt and we talked about the topic for a bit before she asked if I heard 72 Seasons yet, I said I heard it’s bad and she told me to listen to it once. Thank you Mrs. Bear.
These dirty solos are a perfect fit for Kirk. He plays them very well. Very nice song. Metallica know how to make music. Whatever they write you hear two times and you connect to the song. This is talent
James is just a force of nature. I’m so glad to see him in such great shape and sounding awesome. I was getting worried about him on the tour for Hardwired, where you could tell that he wasn’t in a good place.
Play this on the loudest speaker you have with the volume all the way up so it's all distorted bad, in your bathroom. It will still sound better than this concert did on the upper level of US Bank Stadium. It's why I really hate indoor shows unless you're on the floor. The light show was really cool though.
Great show Metallica put on that Sunday night in Minneapolis. The only thing that I didn’t hear was quite as much older classics as I would have liked. They overpowered the US Bank stadium. But that was to be expected in the football stadium acoustics. The display pods around the stage really made the experience even better. A headbangers delight!
After repeated viewings, this song has entered my Metallica top ten…joining the other 43 Metallica songs that are already there.
Haha very true
❤❤❤ it's GREAT

LMAO 😂 Me too!
Man that bass is brutal 👌👏
Robert is a killer !
Slaps you in the face during inamorata

That ending riff is something else😍
Batman is what it is.

My favorite song from 72 Seasons, glad I got to hear it live last year.
Clearly the highlight, above inamorata. The main riff clearly belongs to the black album.
Definitely agree this is one of my favorites from their new album as well
@seekanddowhat ? Seek and destroy!
This is a killer song. It has a weird mix of a song off of Ride the Lightning and Load.
Sure, this track in unbelieve...
I absolutely adore that shot at 01:04. THE FOUR HORSEMEN RIDE!
Hell yeah, all together shaking the earth 🙌🏼

It’s absurd how accurate they play live
James' voice legit sounds better than ever. Happy he's back to growling and yelling, YEAH OOOOO
I love Hetfield but man his voice was way way more powerfull when he was in his 20' and 30'

lol NOT AT ALL.. how old are you?..
I’ll give you some closer years: better than 1998? 1999? 2000? May-June 2003? Nope!
Try Bogota / Woodstock '99, Minneapolis '00, Rock Am Ring '03…
What do you mean? 😂 James is very limited on growling/shout due to his age and he still rocks. Lol
Seeing Metallica Live is an one and only life experience! Love u guys🤘
Seen them twice! I must agree!👍
I've already watched them 3 times, yet still NOT ENOUGH!!😊
Did you get what you wrote?
110% you gotta actually be there to really appreciate it! ❤ Saw them in STL 2024 same tour. So good!
