Excellent job Harry in explaining and demonstrating how the amateur can get more rotation into their golf swing! As a senior golfer, I have found that my backswing has certainly lost it's depth over the years. Now, I think if I get a 3/4 backswing, that's the max! Always good to work on more Harry! Maybe the hands on the side of the legs drill will help! Well Done As Always!
I think my problem when I try to squat is my knees move to far forward as I crouch down and I’m crowding the space to the ball. I think I need to focus on my butt more crouching down and turning the right knee behind the left knee. Any thoughts?
@tgchris2222 yes i like the thought and feelings behind this. Let me know how it goes! If you like me to take a look at your swing to see exactly what you should be doing head over to my Skillest profile!
122 and 336yds are great numbers. If someone looks like they’re squatting in transition, because of the delay or lag in seeing something they must be doing the motion earlier, i.e at the end of their backswing.
My issue I can do the drills (get enough rotation) and even during a slow-mo practice back swing But As soon as the ball is there - my swing becomes very quick and I get nowhere near enough rotation No matter how hard I’ve been trying of late - I ran into the same issues.
@OdinStan will be worth giving this a try as slow as you can without the ball, same pace with the ball, then go a little faster without the ball, then with the ball until you're at a pace you feel comfortable with repeating. If this is still a struggle for you after trying this, reach out to me on my website, more than happy to help further!
Great lesson again Harry. Would love to see a video of your pre-shot routine when you're on the course and struggling with consistency. Cheers.
@tjvbham5831 great video idea, hoping to produce more on course content next year so will take note of this!

@johnschwartz1536 thanks John, the hands next on the legs drill will really help you!

@mikerichardson5022 yes, i always recommend however starting this motion on the downswing just because you may react and push back up too early.
