    Hey Harry, great videos! Just watched this one on driver back swing. You don’t seem to have the shoulder tilt at address to set up for the upward attack angle which for me makes it very difficult/uncomfortable to get the lead shoulder going down and under so I stay on plane. Do you not feel the tilt is important? Also just discovered the videos today so I’ve only watched a few but have couple questions (that maybe covered in others) 1. Any thoughts on getting both arms working together in the downswing 2. Suggestions for practice routines or how to get away from just dragging another ball over and making adjustments off the previous shot rather than starting over? Great stuff Thanks Brian S.

    I really like this vertical drop move Harry and I have really been working hard on it! Once in a while, I become complacent and instead of getting an in to out strike on the golf ball, I will get an over the top move with a very bad result. Always learning or affirming from your videos Harry! Well Done!

    Ok Harry, here’s the thing. First thank you for this detailed instruction on how the right arm works. Now as to the downswing. My best, most compressed, I focus on my right elbow and left shoulder movements while keeping my chest in its backswing position. If I try to bump, turn or slide as you demonstrate throwing a ball I will come over the top. I guess my question is, am I going down a rabbit hole by simply focusing on an arm swing?

    Gotta talk about the difference between....keeping your head back, in order to enable full hip extension forward....versus...keeping the whole upper body back. Every pro keeps their head back...and down...to counterbalance the force of the hips, club and arms doing forward.....with pressure on the front foot. There has to be a backward arc....to generate the greatest power. You really ignore this essential part of a good powerful swing. Pros don't get loft by leaning their body back. They generate loft by keeping their head back....and arcing their body.

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf วันที่ผ่านมา

      @peterscott5814 I'm guessing you mean 'left hip down' as in keeping the kips still for a little longer? If this is the case i encourage golfers to do this who struggle with pushing the club too far outwards. Hence why the delay in the body turn. (The feeling of the delay in the body turn).

    Harry, love your content. One question on this video is that moving your sternum left in transition seems to result in your head being in front of the ball at impact. I thought that the head was supposed to stay behind the ball at impact. Your comments would be appreciated.

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf วันที่ผ่านมา

      @chrisgotham763 thanks for commenting with such a great question. And this is why i show the tendencies before hands, as i'm comparing to golfers who have their head miles behind due to tilting of the upper body. And although golfers mention to keep your head back. As you could see from Jeremys results, getting more forward encouraged a much better attack angle and therefore solid contact more often.

    This is a superb video and so relevant to me. I suffer with a very inside takeaway and as a result cup my lead wrist at the top of the backswing. This results in throwing the club at the start of the downswing thereby giving me a steep angle of attack. As a result my shot vary between fats thins pulls and pushes. This seems a superb exercise to do. Will try and let you know. Incidentally I would love to have private tuition from you - what do you charge and how do I get to you. I live near Blackpool. My current handicap index is 12.5 but I have been as low as 6 and my ambition is tiger back there. Gear effect in golf is the twisting of the clubhead and ball at impact, which causes the ball to fly in a different direction. It's called "gear effect" because the clubface and ball act like gears when they meet.

    Yes yes yes.... ROTATION. I have to be thinking turn back and turn through. Arms stay in front and are moved in an uncoiling the forearms shoulder sockets. I rotate back and anticipate (very important) I anticipate a rotation that turns around my right arm which hovers and tucks in near my right rib cage. I say anticipate because I am developing torque on the downswing and follow the direction that I will be rotating to. Like throwing a ball side arm. I develop torque by having dynamic pressure which will ultimately release in the proper timing. I don't even think about the exit left cause as long as I don't reach back as long as I don't try to throw my arms as long as I don't release too early Then the club automatically turns around and arms stay in front of me and follows my torso as it rotates to the finish........ Did that make any sense
