Was it really fair to put those Elmo games on here? No education/pre-school type of games are good to adult gamers. But kids might think those games are amazing.
I rented Superman 64 back in the day from Blockbuster, got home and realized Super Smash Bros. was in the case instead. The worker knew....he or she KNEW. They saved me......until I actually rented superman forreal. I then knew what true horror was. :o
As someone that owns the game, it's playable. Not great, but not terrible. The graphics of the game were quite good, and it's fully voice acted. With that said though, I'd be lying if I said I haven't found at least one game-breaking glitch. To be fair though, that's why it was a Blockbuster exclusive. Also, if the creator of this video is reading this, the title is not _Indiana Jones and the Infernal TIME machine,_ and the N46 port was released in 2000, not 1999.

Oh my gosh, when I was a kid I often went to this daycare place that had an N64. They only had like three games: a dated football game, a Star Wars game, and Rugrats Scavenger Hunt. Even as a kid I couldn't understand how to play RSH.
What? No Transformers Beast Wars Transmetals? That game was only worthy of puking on my N64 because I was so disgusted someone would waste the plastic cart it was in.
I think they could do an amazing reboot of Hey You, Pikachu on the 3DS today. The microphone would work and they would be able to expand on the interactive side of the game, as well as put better mini games in.
I'm probably the only person on the planet who actually likes Superman on N64. I'm absolutely obsessed with superhero video games, and I have played nearly every one from the NES era forward. Here's the thing. I know it's bad, but it is much better on an emulator, using copious savestates to reduce the frustration factor. It has a great flight system, try it out in the free flight mode. For it's time, it controls very well in this one regard. Most of the fun is just the nerd factor of being Superman, but I have beaten it more than once and for me, it's a nostalgic classic. I swear I am not trolling.
Blues Brothers 2000, really ?! It's a quite unknown game that I'm glad to own, and I would actually recommend it to 3D platformers lovers, even if it's too short. But I would put Monster Trucks Madness 64 on the list instead :D Just my own opinion and I respect yours.
Monster truck madness is brilliant. Worth playing just for the 4 player football mode alone. The worst racer on the system was a game called Ridge Racer 64. It had the lot. Awful graphics, terrible AI and rubbish controls.

Good list, but I personally would've replaced the two Sesame Street games with Tetrisphere. The Elmo games were meant to be more educational than entertaining. I actually remember improving my counting skills at age 2-3 with Sesame Street: Elmo's Number Journey, so it did serve its purpose in that sense. Tetrisphere was just plain confusing and boring to me.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. on one side I want to buy a n64 and the games that I want for about 220 euro. then I have a small physical collection of the games I wanted to play and the generation of gaming I missed out on. on the other side, I can easily buy a controller and emulate the games on my pc. This means that it won't cost a lot of money and might also have a better experience since it has higher framerate, resolution... . But I'm afraid of there being many glitches making it unplayable and I will also probably forget about these games very quick.any opinions on what I should do?
Bassed on personal experience, the emulated version didn't work very well for me, or at least certain games didn't like to load properly. If you have a good pc, then go for it, but if not, try to get a physical system (which you'll probably need an older tv, or special wires to make it compatible)
Honestly, I agree with Doddo. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, I wouldn't recommend starting a collection, especially now. I started awhile back when games could still be found cheap(and I continue, because I don't personally mind spending all of my entertainment funds on my collection), but now, chances of finding cheap games are running dry, and prices are getting crazy.

I would like to make a suggestion. Instead of cropping the gameplay footage to make it 16:9, could you please letterbox the sides so we can see the full 4:3 image? It's hard to see some of the games because so much of the image is being cut off. A letterboxed image would look much better! Thank you.

And it might just be the Nostalgia talking (that or maybe it’s because that was the last game my dad and I used to play together before he left my mom.) but I thought it was a superior game when compared to Mario Kart 64. Maybe that’s also because I only had Southpark Rally and Mickey Mouse Speedway. My first Mario Kart was double Dash.

I have NEVER gotten the hate for deadly arts. IMO it is the best fighting game on the console that could be taken seriously and it had PLENTY that set it apart(I.E. having a tag mode that predated Tekken Tag Tournament, a good character creation mode, plenty of cool moves etc.) Plus I have never had any framerate issues playing it. Eughhh, it's one of those good games people hate just to hate based on their own subjective tastes. Plenty of people found it underrated like I did. IMO due to the character creation and the immense depth of difficulty modes, it was even better than Fighter's Destiny(which people also loved.) Again, it's just a game that people hated for no real objective reason(unlike some of the others on this list.) Just like Hybrid Heaven(which also has it's own cult following and has increased in popularity as a hidden gem on the console in recent years.)
I actually enjoyed Blues Brothers 2000... well that 3d platforming part of it anyway. I've heard so much crap about how awful it plays and how it has very little to do with the movie, but that first complaint, for the most part, simply isn't true. I mean yeah some of the later had collision detection that was a bit off, but that and the fact that the game is a bit on the short side are two of only three problems I had with the game (we'll get to that last one right after these next two sentences). As for the latter complaint... do you really want a game that followed that piece of crap movie by the letter? Yeah I didn't think so. No the games biggest flaw is that terrible rhythm minigame they make you play in each level. This really set the game back as they're so off-rhythm and yet still insultingly easy to complete. And why is this the biggest flaw if it's just a minigame? Well not only is this the only game you can play in multiplayer, but the rhythm minigame happens to be the final boss. And guess what? It's just as easy as the ones that came before it. Talk about a terrible way to end the game, but I had my fun with the platforming (AKA the meat of the game) and the proper boss fights and I guess that's what really matters.

there was a very, very rare and hard to find game i played once, and ive been trying to find the name of it. it was sort of a "bowling fighting" game, but ultimately it was a 1v1 bowling game with a healthbar and was nearly unplayable.
I also thought that game was bad but there's another Superman game with even worse all you do is fly around and the arrow points around and you don't know where exactly where you're supposed to go
Deadly Arts is a strange game, it wasn't about fighting your friends with the base characters like traditional fighters. The true fun of the game was making your own character in the creator and fighting the Main Characters to learn their individual moves to create your own unique fighter THEN taking your memory card to a friend's and pitting your custom characters against each other. Game play wise, it did very well for the Tina and console. The 3D worked better than KI Gold, Fighters Destiny and Flying Dragon. Fighters Destiny however is a total garbage fighting game... Sooooooo bad.
Not to say that it's a great game (the Warehouse level drives me nuts), in fact I'd still consider it bad, but I don't think it's unplayable. It gets a slightly worse rap than it deserves in my opinion.

If you will be playing it often, get the real thing. if you will just play it occasionally, get a usb n64 controller.

Eughhh, it's one of those good games people hate just to hate based on their own subjective tastes. Plenty of people found it underrated like I did. IMO due to the character creation and the immense depth of difficulty modes, it was even better than Fighter's Destiny(which people also loved.)
Again, it's just a game that people hated for no real objective reason(unlike some of the others on this list.) Just like Hybrid Heaven(which also has it's own cult following and has increased in popularity as a hidden gem on the console in recent years.)
I played some of those elmo games as a kid and always wonder what they were called. glad to know they werent that great
But I grew up on Hey You Pikachu ;-;. I never had an N64 mic, but I still loved it.
Deadly Arts is the only game from the list I own. I think I had a bit of fun with it back in the day. I'll have to give it a go soon to reconfirm.
I actually enjoyed Blues Brothers 2000... well that 3d platforming part of it anyway. I've heard so much crap about how awful it plays and how it has very little to do with the movie, but that first complaint, for the most part, simply isn't true. I mean yeah some of the later had collision detection that was a bit off, but that and the fact that the game is a bit on the short side are two of only three problems I had with the game (we'll get to that last one right after these next two sentences). As for the latter complaint... do you really want a game that followed that piece of crap movie by the letter? Yeah I didn't think so.
No the games biggest flaw is that terrible rhythm minigame they make you play in each level. This really set the game back as they're so off-rhythm and yet still insultingly easy to complete. And why is this the biggest flaw if it's just a minigame? Well not only is this the only game you can play in multiplayer, but the rhythm minigame happens to be the final boss. And guess what? It's just as easy as the ones that came before it. Talk about a terrible way to end the game, but I had my fun with the platforming (AKA the meat of the game) and the proper boss fights and I guess that's what really matters.

Hey You Pikachu was actually pretty fun to me.
Switch out Hey You Pikachu with Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and I agree with your list
Even as a diehard Power Rangers fan I hated that game and won't defend it, especially as the PS1 version was actually a decent game

3. MK Mythologies Sub-zero (most unfair game ever)
4. Daikatana (boring as fuck)
5. Fifa 64 (horrible AI)
6. Starshot (the Framerate is awful)
7. Aero Gauge (boring)
8. Clayfighter 63 1/3 (ugly and boring)
9. Airboarder (horrible control)
10. MK Trilogy (unplayable, the PS version is way better)
Holy Magic Century, G:A:S:P:, Dual Heroes, Power Rangers, Rat Attack, War Gods, Bio Freaks, Blues Brothers and Batman Beyond are all horrible as well.

there was a very, very rare and hard to find game i played once, and ive been trying to find the name of it. it was sort of a "bowling fighting" game, but ultimately it was a 1v1 bowling game with a healthbar and was nearly unplayable.

Superman 64 is on every worst list for Nintendo 64 games!
I also thought that game was bad but there's another Superman game with even worse all you do is fly around and the arrow points around and you don't know where exactly where you're supposed to go

Nobody on this planet thinks it's a great game. It'd be like saying The Room (from Tommy Wiseau) is a masterpiece.
Have to disagree with the Sesame Street ones. I use them still to help kids learn their letters and numbers.
Deadly Arts is a strange game, it wasn't about fighting your friends with the base characters like traditional fighters. The true fun of the game was making your own character in the creator and fighting the Main Characters to learn their individual moves to create your own unique fighter THEN taking your memory card to a friend's and pitting your custom characters against each other.
Game play wise, it did very well for the Tina and console. The 3D worked better than KI Gold, Fighters Destiny and Flying Dragon.
Fighters Destiny however is a total garbage fighting game... Sooooooo bad.
I don't think South Park Rally was terrible. Then again, I have it for Dreamcast, so it my be worse on N64.

I actually loved Blues Brothers 2000 & i say the worst N64 game i plade thats not on this list is Quist 64

I like superman 64, idk, probably there was nothing wrong with my cartridge.
Not to say that it's a great game (the Warehouse level drives me nuts), in fact I'd still consider it bad, but I don't think it's unplayable. It gets a slightly worse rap than it deserves in my opinion.
