Thanks SO much!!! I was on the verge of getting a ‘24 Limited hybrid/HEV, but now I think I’ll wait for the ‘25 as I like the changes Hyundai has made!
I just bought the 2024 Phev and I'm lovin it. I'm having fun . After using my homes 110 outlet to charge it @ 11 hours for a full charge ,I now have 220 charger and it only takes under two hours to charge using my solar system. Enphase inverters with Enphase charger. The best is my first tank of gas 67MPG and second 61.4.... I charge every day and drive to get the best mileage . It has plenty of power without using the turbo in sport mode.
FYI, you don't need to charge everyday if you're just making short trips. You'll want to exercise the entire battery, similar to how people charge phones.
Great review guys!! I like it. I was hung up on the old dash and had ordered a Sportage because of it, but it takes forever plus a day to get one so I talked myself into ordering a Tucson. I like the look of this newer version and will take either a 2024 or 2025 which ever the dealer is able to get. BTW Does the 2025 PHEV Ultimate have the panoramic roof?
Memo to Toyota from a 50 year loyal customer: Please, please, consider moving your designs toward something less drab and boring especially the interiors. I think this new Tucson is modern looking yet still functional. If they can do it you should be able to.
Toyota has gotten too big and successful, and they are afraid to make any drastic changes. Unfortunately that could lead to their downfall from their current #1 spot in the world.
People are still buying more Toyota's than Hyundai's, and Toyota is the top-selling brand in the world. Why would they increase their investment in design elements when they can cut that cost and make more money? I always tell people that Toyota's are secretly expensive because you get less for what you pay compared to most other brands.
Every brand has its vibes & style. And what you're asking to Toyota is like asking an elephant read to you the newspaper. Its not going to happen. But its okey. Even though some products of Toyota are much more propositive in design, like the new Prius, the new Camry, Toyota CH-R.
History tells you that no one is too big to fail if they refuse to innovate and they stand still….Toyota may still sell more cars than anyone worldwide but in many markets including even in Japan their sales are declining.
I am surprised they went with two different interiors for the gas/electrified models - and especially that in the gas model they went with the Santa Cruz shifter and moved away from the push button setup they Tucson had before. I thought you were filming in the Santa Cruz for a minute there! It's a nice mid-cycle refresh. I'm still hooked on the new Santa Fe though ..
New interior is SOOO much better, this is the reason i holded off in upgrading my 2017 i didnt like the piano black awkward tablet inserted in the middle look but still might just hold off to see what the new 4Runner brings before i upgrade anything 😊
The only solution to this problem is to stop tailgaiting. A good and defensive driver will not drive closely behind another vehicle. Also, a good driver will pay attention at all times. Always think one step ahead.
Have a 2019 Tucson Ultimate (US-spec). It’s a great car have had NO ISSUES whatsoever with it. I’m loving the update of this 2025 Tucson with its tech’, its features, and the safety systems included across the board on all models. And Hyundai has given the New Tucson wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto to at least the top trim Limited. Can’t decide between this or the New Santa Fe which just came out. Decisions decisions. 🤔
Great review of the car! You guys really know the details of a brand new car as if it's been around for a while! On paper the Hyundai and Kia products have so much value for the money and the interiors and tech are really on the top of the segment. But if they would just pump the brakes on the features and tech while improving the reliability and especially the dealer service capabilities, I think they may be able to give Toyota or Honda a good run for the money. But the more of these they sell, the more issues they have with keeping the service departments staffed and up to speed. Thanks for the video!
Happy Easter Guys !! , NO more CVT Trans. Awesome also more space on the back seat great change. Thank You for the content and enjoy your stay, have a wonderful day.
The too low rear turning signals are even lower in the redesign. A car at the blind spots cannot see the signals. ( Did they do that just to spite the crtics, the customers be damned?) And unlike the Sportage, the Tucson Hybrid still do not provide a spare tire.
Prices have gone up every year since the invention of currency... will it go up? I'm sure it will nudge up a tad... will it double in price? Pretty sure that's a solid no.
Tucson was high on my list for a 2024 purchase until I thought about the actual usability of a touchscreen. Being on a highway and trying to use a touchscreen to simply change the temperature or tune the radio takes away too much focus from driving. Good on Hyundai for bringing back knobs back, but too late for me as I went with the CR-V hybrid instead.
My Santa Fe reached 17000 miles then the engine quit. After a month of waiting for an engine replacement I traded for another brand. Intellectually I know it was just a lemon. Still, it will be a cold day in hell before I put SUV-type money into a Hyundai again.
Have 2 Tucsons now (23&24) . Very happy. Biggest weakness is interior color. Black is about as exciting as an oil drip on the garage floor. Gray is an improvement, but please, Mr. Hyundai, give us some interiors with some life, and not just a red stitch around the black seat!

I have a 24' Tuscon Hybrid Limited and absolutely love it. I get 33 to 34 mixed with city and highway. The ioniq 5 rides better, but I love the styling and the amazon grey. This one looks great as well, not sure I like the wheels though. Either way, great brand..
Great colour. It definitely benefits from this much needed update… or rather face-lift. I’m certain that it will sell in fair numbers. Hyundai offers this as a fairly decent product, all whilst at a fairly decent price point. Thanks for the video.
My question is: the 1.6L Turbo-GDI Hybrid Engine with 6-Speed Automatic that much more powerful & efficient than the 2.5L GDI/MPI 4-cylinder engine with 8-Speed Automatic?? Without the electric motor there's already less power on the 6 speed. And on the highway, I hit 35 MPG with my gas tuscon. Pretty close huh?
I've got a 2023 Tucson plug-in; I'm pleased to see that Hyundai smartened up and brought back knobs and real buttons for the stereo and climate. The new shifter in hybrids changes one mistake for another. Did the turn signals stay way down on the bumper?
I like it but ... the 2024 Tucson hybrid, with an opening panoramic sun roof, is better. The "new" center console is actually more reminiscent of the Kia EV6 as opposed to the Ioniq 5. Love the updated screen.; same as the Ioniq 5 except having it angled towards the driver was a good update. I really don't care about wireless AA or CP, I don't mind using a cable. Overall, positive changes for the facelift. Good review highlighting the changes. Edit: Have a Happy Easter tomorrow! 🙂
Ummm... the opening panoramic sunroof is still there, just depends on which trim you get. You can get a Tucson with a solid roof, small moonroof or panaromic sunroof... all options are available on the Tucson, it's just TRIM-dependent.
I hate that the PHEV and Hybrid are on 19's rather than 18's. Not only is it more expensive overall, the ride quality will be less and it gets worse milage. There is zero technical advantages on a road driven car to get massive wheels.

I think you can still get leather on the limited hybrid. Does anyone know if the 2025 N line is going to have the 360 camera system or is that only on the Limited?
Hope they update the Venue, the oem halogen headlamps are terrible. I think they are even dangerous at night because of the low quality of the projectors it comes with. My Chevrolet Spark has better lamps than my wife's Venue Preferred 2022. Changed the bulbs for more powerful ones and it didn't solve the issue.
It'd be nice if Hyundai standardized their interior designs around this style of screen, just for the sake of not changing the cars so much so often. I like the hybrid center console, that gap means I might be able to manspread my knees!
Well, it might look fantastic but I have to say that it is not sound proof at all. When we run on the highway with 130km/h we hear everything like we would be outside and not in the car. Big minus for us with a baby child. Or when an adult says something staying on the back seat, we cannot hear him unless he speaks/ screams out very loud.
@@allanc5743, maybe in your country, here there is no specification in the law or on the highway regarding the speed with a baby in the car, it's a general limit and that's all. However, you can take these 2 different situations and Tucson is not sound proof and I am quite sure yours has the same problem.
Hyundai and Kia are nailing it when it comes to offering hybrid, PHEV and EV power trains, but their designs and constant refreshes are too much. Even my Favourite Hyundai design, the Ioniq 5, is a nice design but way too busy. It’s like nobody wanted to stop. And now it’s already getting redesigned for 2025. At least the N line version is cleaning up the 2 tone and other elements but then added those fake vents on the rear. They need to hire a German design referee to tell them enough. 😂

Anecdotal samples of a single person isn't some sort of unreputable evidence that all panoramic sunroofs explode. If you think because it happened to you, it happens to all, I can use my example of having TWO TUCSONS IN A ROW with Panoramic sunroofs and NEITHER ever had a single problem, ever. Does that mean that 100% of all panoramic sunroofs will never have a problem? It's like airplane disasters... someone might have a plane crash on them then declare all airline travel is unsafe. I am sorry it happened to you... but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with having a panoramic sunroof... I love mine!
Toyota announced Wednesday it is recalling nearly 280,000 Toyota Tundra, Sequoia and Lexus LX 600 vehicles because of a transmission problem that can result in cars rolling forward while in neutral. The recall impacts some 2022 Toyota Tundra pickups and Lexus LX 600 SUVs, as well as 2023 and 2024 Toyota Sequoia SUVs, according to the Associated Press. The issue involves certain parts of the transmission not immediately disengaging when a vehicle is shifted to neutral, which can result in engine power being transferred to wheels and a vehicle creeping forward at low speed when on a flat surface. The problem leads “to an increased risk of a crash,” according to Toyota. Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the software for the transmission for free, according to a statement. Toyota didn’t immediately respond to Forbes’ request for comment. TANGENT Honda had 6.3 million vehicles potentially affected by recalls last year, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data, followed by Ford (6.1 million) and Kia (3.1 million). Toyota recalls potentially affected 4.2 million vehicles last year, according to NHTSA data, with much of the figure coming from a one million-vehicle recall in late December that sought to address an electrical issue that could prevent airbags from working. Soooooooo Toyota is not better than KIA and Hyundai they have problems too like all other brands so stopped Toyota🐑s
Ils n'auraient pas dû changer le 1:56 volant et la console centrale, le nouvel intérieur est horrible en plus y'a le retour de levier de vitesse et les énormes boutons. Je suis déçu.
The XRT interior is very different than the outgoing model and the exterior got some nice tweaks too. The XRT is also a new trim for Canada even though the US has it on the outgoing model. We also showed the interior of the hybrid, there isn't much more to show.
@@andreaspencer9813 Assuming the answer is going to be "No" - but thought I'd ask anyway... With these updates - did they make room for and equip the hybrid with an actual spare tire? The last version was without one (while the similar Kia Sportage hybrid does have a spare tire).
The new Tucson came out in 2022. I have a 2022 Santa Fe and it’s been fine. DCT and all. I put a lot of miles on it. Also, Honda and Toyotas don’t have issues? Guess never went on forums.
It’s stylish. But I’m hesitant to consider Hyundai. A coworker of mine has a two year old Tucson that she paid thousands over the sticker and has numerous electronics problems that multiple dealers cannot fix. The vehicle is undrivable, She is currently pursuing a lemon law buyback and is currently driving a used car of a different brand.
So many pronunciation variations, Hunday, Hee-unday, and it's High-unday where I come from. But this is the first time I've seen Hyundai (mis)spelt with a "j" thrown in (see intro above).
Hyundai ran ads is north america way back that had the jingle "Hyundai (Hunday) rhymes with Sunday" which is probably why it's said like that in most of NA.
Until Hyundai moves the rear turn signal lights up to a visible height for the cars behind, it would be dangerous for anyone to drive this otherwise refined vehicle. All the investments for brand name vehicle designers end up this? Get real!
They are over-styled. They really need to get rid of their designers, these vehicles look awful lately. Especially the electric vehicles. They look like an Ikea Porsche Assembly kit.
TOKYO (AP) - A Japanese automaker that cheated on safety tests for decades said Monday it doesn’t expect to resume shipping cars any time soon. The Japanese government ordered a subsidiary of Toyota to halt production of its entire lineup after reports of faked safety test results emerged last year. The Daihatsu Motor Co. skipped mandatory safety tests by copying data from testing on one side of cars to the other, and used timers to ensure airbags went off in tests, a review found. No major accidents have been reported in connection with the cheating, but the news has raised serious questions about oversight at Daihatsu, as well as its corporate parent Toyota. Japanese regulators approved five of the company’s models on Friday after more testing, but Daihatsu executives said its factories will remain shuttered as it waits on suppliers.
There is no doubt that Hyundai and Kia make very attractive vehicles, but they have so many recalls and the dealers can not even fix them. Many of the dealers have been nicely upgraded when combined with their Genesis line, but the rest are old and awful places to service the car.
Hyundai is junk. Do not back warranty. Do not have technical skill in USA to fix issues. Had to replace door lock cables, driver door lock. Replace melted turbo coolant line. Replace turbo. Weak trans, weak engine, just a cheap car. Run away. Kia also.
@@ScubaSteveCanada Lemon law only good till 3 year old car. 8 year old car with 40,000 is u set warranty but not lemon. Hyundai have no turbo expert. Mechanics not good. Even I paid they do not know. And also do not have basic parts in stock. My wife’s 2022 Tucson had the thermostat go at 20,000 miles. Dealership had it for a week while they waited to get the part. They had no loaner cars available despite advertising on the radio they had 40! Apparently lots of issues with Hyundais in general. I owned the 1st gen Tucson 2006 until 2018. It was a true 'sub-compact' SUV with fold flat front passenger seat and powerful V6 engine and AWD. Since then the Tucson has not appealed to me for the following reasons. - Price has been creepy up and now even more expensive than Japanese competition. - 'Funky' exterior. The previous version was more pleasing to more people. - Width at 1,865 mm (73.4 in), It won't fit in some garages. -19inch wheels. Some will have difficulties trying to change/carry the tires.

It’s a nice change for this Tucson! 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Love this vehicle!
No problems with my PHEV. Also, you shouldn't be driving at 130 with a baby in the back. Speed limit is 100-110.
I LOVE IT & I WANT THE AMAZING HYBRID N-LINE IN GREEN 💚 With Black interior ❤️🇺🇲😀
Guys great presentation 👍
Hyundai continues to impress. N-Line is my pick for the body color cladding.
Thanks so much! I prefer the body colour cladding too.
It looks like a larger '24 kona
Not just looks like. Tucson has always been larger than the Kona.
hyundai nailed it with the updates, I didn't like the pre-face-lift version
Cloth on the dash pad? 4 dots that represent H in Morse code? What were y'all smoking when you came up with this?!
Yup everything going to now into hybrid which is great news. No more focus to Full EV that much.
Agreed. I would be tempted to go to Hybrid or PHEV first before full on EV as the infrastructure for EVs is not there yet.
EVs still sell better than PHEVs. Regular hybrids will only be around for another decade, then they will be banned.
@@allanc5743 banned from selling, but gradually phasing out gasoline vehicles
187hp is very less for gas only model. Should be atleast 200-210hp.
187 is in line with other competitors in that class. If you want more hp, get a hybrid these days.
@@jefff7287 Rav4(Gas model) is 203hp, Rogue 201hp, CX5 Turbo 227hp.
@@Gopinathk17 the Rogue's reliability is terrible with that turbo, the CX5 is way more expensive with the turbo option, and the RAV4 lacks any of the interior niceties of the Tucson to afford that engine. I'd go with the Tucson over all of them.
@@jefff7287 I was only talking about engine power but you going around reliability, interiors bla bla..Hyundai/Kia also have their own reliability issues oil pump leaks, airbag issues, structural issues, hydraulic braking issues, transmission issues and list goes on..and more than anything horrible resale values. My friend's 2022 Tucson hybrid which he bought for 42k is now worth of $23k and it's not even 2 years.
They need to update that bulbous side profile and clean up the teardrop tail lights.
I can't park my Hyundai in the garage cause nhtsa says it could catch on fire Hyundai has no fix for it
Hyundai's new interior is way more modern than Toyota and Honda's.
Hyundai do that well I have to admit. RAV4 and Honda CRV Hybrids are outstanding.
I'm devastated by the steering wheel change. I absolutely HATE center spokes. They're just always in the way during long drives and there's nothing you can do about it. I want modular steering wheels. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
I think it looks great. I prefer the profile and stance of this to the RAV4. Toyota and Honda could learn a thing from Hyundai in terms of styling.
Once you’ve had a panoramic sunroof explode you won’t care if you have one in any vehicle. My Tucson sunroof exploded and that is not fun.

TANGENT
Honda had 6.3 million vehicles potentially affected by recalls last year, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data, followed by Ford (6.1 million) and Kia (3.1 million).
Yes finally someone is willing to say that Toyota is not perfect. No automaker is.
Ils n'auraient pas dû changer le 1:56 volant et la console centrale, le nouvel intérieur est horrible en plus y'a le retour de levier de vitesse et les énormes boutons.
Je suis déçu.
its dumb that you decided to show case the xrt when the hybrid was the one that really got most of the changes
@@neonpark1874 Still a tire repair kit, no spare tire.

Nah but we need to know what new ioniq 6 will look like
Just got rid of my 2020 Tuson for a 2024 Rav 4. Had nothing but problem with the Tuson.
what issues?
Tucson
And Congratulations On Your Rav4 How Long Was The Waiting Time I Was in The Market For A 2021 Rav4 Base Trim LE What Trim is Your Rav4
I always chuckle when you say Hunday. It was the same in Texas nearly 40 years ago.
Get real!
This is NOT the 2025!
What about all the engine issues that Kia and Hyunda have. Breakdowns and lengthy waiting times for replacements and parts
The pattern in the plastic cladding on many Hyundais looks so cheap and tacky. Smooth and simple would have looked better.
They are over-styled. They really need to get rid of their designers, these vehicles look awful lately. Especially the electric vehicles. They look like an Ikea Porsche Assembly kit.
Good looking SUV; however, after their blatant lies regarding the Ioniq batteries, I wrote them off completely. Back to Toyota for this family.
You said all that to say you going to Toyota of all places 😂😂😂 you was better off saying Honda.
There is no doubt that Hyundai and Kia make very attractive vehicles, but they have so many recalls and the dealers can not even fix them. Many of the dealers have been nicely upgraded when combined with their Genesis line, but the rest are old and awful places to service the car.
*HEE-YUN*-DEH (emphasis on the Hee-Yun together vs. the DEH). not, HON-DAY. Thank you for a nice review guys
Don't tell me you guys just did that annoying, ubiquitous pose for the thumbnail.
Agreed, that’s a youtube car reviewer trend that really cheapens the product, it will likely fade away
Hyundai is junk.
Do not back warranty.
Do not have technical skill in USA to fix issues. Had to replace door lock cables, driver door lock. Replace melted turbo coolant line. Replace turbo. Weak trans, weak engine, just a cheap car. Run away. Kia also.
That's the purpose of Lemon Law; it sure sounds like a lemon.
@@ScubaSteveCanada
Lemon law only good till 3 year old car. 8 year old car with 40,000 is u set warranty but not lemon. Hyundai have no turbo expert. Mechanics not good. Even I paid they do not know.
Even dealers hate warranty work as Hyundai is tight on money and helping cover. 100,000 10 year is scam.
Wife had to rent a vehicle and is now waiting to be reimbursed by Hyundai.
☹@@FordEnthusiast413
Not sure about the USA, but my Hyundai had a new engine replacement and the dct replaced twice, but Hyundai did acknowledge my car as a lemon and they helped me with a replacement.
XRT ?
Hyundai still copying other competitors
Belle voiture , mais alors ce volant est vraiment pas top du tout . Il est affreux . De plus les clignotants arrières sont beaucoup trop bas , presque invisibles , donc très dangereux .
Difficulty in changing and carrying tires? Wow what a reach. 19 is pretty standard.
