Weirdly, there's still a lot of channels that still show love to the Vita after all the years but there are only a very small few that make up the best of the best of Vita content makers. And you sir are one of the best of the best and I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how important you are to this community. Please keep it up.
This console was my life when I was in high school. Saved some money up and bought this console on launch day! I played MK9 religiously online and was ranked #69 ;) in the leaderboards. Hearing the store and menu music brought back the endless hours I’d spend searching new content on the store and downloading videos from TH-cam music vids onto the console. I miss my OG Vita, good times.
I’m still heavy into my vita everyday after falling off for a few years aside from remote play here and there. It will forever be my favorite console and I’ll never forgive Sony for how it was handled.
Always love seeing a Vita video in 2022. VITA MEANS LIFE 😤😤 Also TONS of themes are missing from that list. Tearaway, Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls, Hakuoki themes are just some off the top of my head.
I haven't got my hands on the vita version of udg yet Did it use the rear touchpad or not? Just wondering bc it may not be compatible with pstv for all I know
@@blueberrycake2272 Not as far as I know/remember haven't played it since 2017 when I got my Vita/it being my first game and physical. It's a very not using the handheld only specific system's features other that maybe touchscreen for menus I think but I haven't played it since then have wanted to replay it though. I haven't tested my games on the Vita TV yet I have yet to that and I forget if it's listed on those lists of the many I have looked to.

@@gloomiy But it doesn't help. If somebody just bought a Vita and this was some sort of PSP video, the guy could have filled his Vita with PSP stuff. It doesn't help much the other way around unless he specifically takes interest in the PSP titles in the Vita store, and even then he can't buy them. He must buy them on a PS3 and then get into his PSP download list. That's the only way to buy PSP games these days, or on a Vita which he probably doesn't have.

Modded vita I got for $190 with thousands of games and the ability to play nearly every vita game with trophy support is clutch.Easily the best way to go with a vita now a days.

Do you have any trouble running games from PKJG where there is a separate download for a patch? If I cancel the download for the patch the games play perfectly, with a patch, the bubble is there but it will not play.
I love that I can play PS1, remastered PS2 AND PSP games in one on the go. And with PS Vita games, I can say that it's the most used handheld system I have.
Physical copies for the PS Vita games are very pricy! It may be hard at times to find a game for a decent price. My recommendation is to be patient for the game you are looking for, and always keep an eye out in the local area for video game hunting.
I love the Vita but I absolutely hate that when you want to play games you have downloaded that it needs to connect to wifi to "check in". That's why I do not regret hacking my vita.
Unfortunately I swapped my psvita for a PS3 in 2015 because I got pissed off for the lack of good exclusive for the system. However it is good to see the system has still been kept alive 😊 . Sony should have been put more love into its system like they did with psp .
The PS Vita is honestly great. What held me back back then was the propierty memory cards, they were incredibly expensive for their small storage. I remember the 8gb card costing over $40. Going all digital was tough, having to uninstall games so often. I'm glad the community created a modding scene for this device. It's possible now to use an SD card adapter specific for the Vita to use a micro SD card!
Love it. Had the PS Vita since the Japanese launch. It's one of my favorite handhelds. Definitely has tons of games to play on it. Japan has even more games and you can still go to a store and find physical games to pick up today. Good video Ryan. Viva La Vita!

I wasn't sure but of the few vita games I have on cartridge, uncharted golden Abyss is one of them ;) plus, silent hill, book of Memories, child of light, Wolf among us, and Tearaway.

I just picked up the oled model in great condition. I never played persona 4, sly, and the psp god of war games. I’m def excited to hop in and play those.
I reaaaaaally want a new handheld from Sony. Cut the touchpad on the back, maybe have a touch screen again I'd prefer not to since I don't like touching the screen leaving fingerprint marks. Add L1/L2/L3+ R1/R2/R3 buttons, basically make it feel like a controller with a screen, add the new ps plus with downloads available and streaming. SONY TAKE MY MONEY
No one would buy it. I was like the lone one with a vita, seemed like they were only trying appeal to a niche audience with this. Pricing was a bit too much. Could probably make a few hundred selling the games lol
I’m still so mad Sony didn’t pay attention to PS Vita. There was no exclusive games like Gran Turismo or God of War like the PSP had. Plus, the marketing for PSP was massive compared to ps vita. I think their real fault was that stupid ps vita memory card that was so expensive. I have two ps vitas and I wish there would be more AAA games in there like the Uncharted or resistance
Not only that, but since Sony no longer makes the cards they're very difficult to find and I can't replace them. Apparently the 64 GB one has a high failure rate and I'm stuck with it because I don't want to mod my system.
You gotta lot of catching up to do. Don't ignore the Vita staples - Tearaway, LBP, Uncharted, Everybody's Golf, Killzone. They're cheap and great games.

I just checked the Australian PS Store and noted some interesting differences: - Instead of "Family Fun" we have "Gamers' Choice" - The latest release that shows up in the "Latest" section is 2021's Russian Subway Dogs - Obviously no mention of PS Now Looking back in my download list reminded me of the dreaded Network Pass, so thanks for that 😜
Sony should make a new high end gaming phone. The problem with the Xperia play is that it didn't have enough power. The problem with the vita is that it didn't double as a smartphone. There's a lot of people that would casually play mobile games but aren't willing to carry around a second device to do so. Sony needs to make an Xperia play that actually has PlayStation worthy specs.
I’m still bummed and pissed off that Sony removed the ability to transfer games from ps3 to vita/psp. I still have a bunch of install bubbles on my ps3 that I had ready for my backup vitas. I’m not sure how I’m gonna download games on my psp’s either. I never wanted to mod, but I guess that’s the last resort. Awesome video man!
@@cliffturbo2146 Yes, but there are some games that you’ll never be able to play on your Vita if you don’t already have them on there. Such as: Metal gear solid, Silent Hill, Legacy of kain soul reaver, Gun, silent hill origins, Burnout legends/dominator, etc. Some games were only compatible if you transferred them from your ps3 to Vita via usb (which we can’t do anymore). Goodluck!
I bought Vita some months ago and is really nice to play on the go better than the phone. Sad is God of war Chain of Olympus and MG peace walker dosent have trophy suport.

I sold my vita TV several years ago for way cheaper than I apparently should have looking at ebay lol. Just never used it.. Like my jak silver psp that was pristine but I just never got into it so I sold it too. Semi-regret it but they just sat on a shelf..
Downloaded The Sly Cooper trilogy to my PS3 the other day, it was quite the process. I'd like to quantum leap to the timeline where Sony adequately supports the 7th gen era. Probably called Kony or Bony though 😔

I sold my vita reluctantly. It's such a shame that Sony think handhelds are not important and let Nintendo take control of the sector with their overpriced handhelds. Ps Vita had OLED screen at launch and Nintendo have only just released an OLED version for their handheld. This shows how Sony was ahead of the game. Handheld gaming is perfect for when you're travelling or need something small to take with you somewhere. I really wish Sony kept the Vita.
I've played alot of ps vita this year, completed metal gear solid 1 , final fantasy 7,8,9 , crash bandicoot 1,2. It was awesome 😎 Would love Sony to make a new modern gaming handheld, but I don't see them being brave enough to do it ... sigh :(
Ya never know...I got a feeling Sony may do it again but they are sitting back watching and taking notes on these other hand helds like Steam deck etc to come up with something powerful for the playstation consumer

The Vita is the only console I own where I prefer to buy digital. That's primarily because I want Sony to know we're still using the Vita store. And the lower prices are an additional reason
I've always wanted Damacus Gear on the vita just never bought it. I think I'll pop in my 16g card an get to downloading some games that's way to expensive to purchase physically
The PS3 store is good but the Vita one I really need to look into. It has broken thumbnails for sure and some searching isn't great. Covering PS Mobile as a niche was a good idea as an archive/history and just smart even if 'niche'. I like the Vita use of touch very much for the UI. Some games like Smart As struggle to allow support which for a touch only game (Start to skip intros only) it's unplayable unless I have audio playable or reset my system it's silly. But the bubbles/touch sensitive was great better than phones. Windows phone was pretty good but Android I struggle so much I hate it. I have barely used the PS TV/PS Vita TV but I like to have it in view encase need to use it. I need to work out content transfer to PC one of these days with a Vista/7/8 virtual machine or an 8.1 ISO to use as I still have my 8.1 install disk and Windows 10 compatibility for the app doesn't work so that sucks. I am interested to get Disgaea 2&3 on PSP in the Vita store. Some games like Split Second aren't in my region sadly but oh well. I many a few PSP games I could buy digital for analogue/reconfiguring but eh I was fine with PSP use as is even if awkward. Like N64 it's the charm/rough period. I can't do PS3/Vita/PSP connect much anyway but to PC somehow. I think Minis were good. Got 1 that were expanded games on Wii U otherwise a Minis Volume 1 collection UMD. Otherwise emued a few and they were as awkward to fine as you'd expect of Bloons/Bloons Tower Defence 1 or Nova for example. Many Vita demos were fun though. For Vita games itself not sure yet I am very new to the library still. Iconoclasts was good on PS4 and playing through it on Vita due to crossbuy as I never had a crossbuy title before I never bought digital so that was cool to finally do. Maybe GalGun Double Peace even though I own it on my PS4 but Remote Play isn't the same obviously no crossbuy there. I have to think about the ones I want still yet (big ones physical if possible of the remaining ones I have to get and EU/AU prices not US prices) whether Vita ones for PS3/4 instead to play on the go or not and just have the Vita version of them I don't want to own the others. Many PSP/Vita games I have to look at, have my eye on some PS1 just to have go the go/ones I never played I have a very small PS2 library other than GT1&2, Spyro trilogy and CTR nothing else noteable I am too new to the library besides the PS Classic lineup now. Am focusing on the Wii U/3DS stores but got to check out the Vita one while it's still got enough time
loaded twitch on the vita the other day and was surprised to see that it worked. i remember when twitch announced end of life for the vita but it works apparently it works now. the downside to the store is the the faulty memory card, i just bought one recently from japan and it started failing on me a couple days ago. $100 down the drain 😡

I know lol but there's one digital only Vita game that I love it and I really want to have it is Jet Set Radio, it's also affordable.

I just did that then turned off the wifi so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
I Also modded my Vita and I tell ya it's like the best thing ever for my 1000 oled ...with the 512gb memory, as it holds tons of emulated games

I just picked up the oled model in great condition. I never played persona 4, sly, and the psp god of war games. I’m def excited to hop in and play those.

I reaaaaaally want a new handheld from Sony. Cut the touchpad on the back, maybe have a touch screen again I'd prefer not to since I don't like touching the screen leaving fingerprint marks. Add L1/L2/L3+ R1/R2/R3 buttons, basically make it feel like a controller with a screen, add the new ps plus with downloads available and streaming. SONY TAKE MY MONEY

No one would buy it. I was like the lone one with a vita, seemed like they were only trying appeal to a niche audience with this. Pricing was a bit too much. Could probably make a few hundred selling the games lol
I’m still so mad Sony didn’t pay attention to PS Vita. There was no exclusive games like Gran Turismo or God of War like the PSP had. Plus, the marketing for PSP was massive compared to ps vita. I think their real fault was that stupid ps vita memory card that was so expensive. I have two ps vitas and I wish there would be more AAA games in there like the Uncharted or resistance
The triple A experiences were why I wanted a Vita so bad. Shame they were few and far between and those memory card prices were fucking atrocious

Not only that, but since Sony no longer makes the cards they're very difficult to find and I can't replace them. Apparently the 64 GB one has a high failure rate and I'm stuck with it because I don't want to mod my system.

You gotta lot of catching up to do. Don't ignore the Vita staples - Tearaway, LBP, Uncharted, Everybody's Golf, Killzone. They're cheap and great games.

Those portable PlayStations were ahead of its time. Even now I can boot up my psp and play ps one games or native psp games. So cool

I just checked the Australian PS Store and noted some interesting differences:
- Instead of "Family Fun" we have "Gamers' Choice"
- The latest release that shows up in the "Latest" section is 2021's Russian Subway Dogs
- Obviously no mention of PS Now

Sony should make a new high end gaming phone. The problem with the Xperia play is that it didn't have enough power. The problem with the vita is that it didn't double as a smartphone. There's a lot of people that would casually play mobile games but aren't willing to carry around a second device to do so. Sony needs to make an Xperia play that actually has PlayStation worthy specs.
As much as I wanted to play on my vita, game pricing, no memory card availability just killer my enthusiasm.

I’m still bummed and pissed off that Sony removed the ability to transfer games from ps3 to vita/psp. I still have a bunch of install bubbles on my ps3 that I had ready for my backup vitas. I’m not sure how I’m gonna download games on my psp’s either. I never wanted to mod, but I guess that’s the last resort. Awesome video man!
Just to be sure, you can still download PS games on the Vita by the Download list on the Store, right? After buying it on PS3.
@@cliffturbo2146 Yes, but there are some games that you’ll never be able to play on your Vita if you don’t already have them on there. Such as: Metal gear solid, Silent Hill, Legacy of kain soul reaver, Gun, silent hill origins, Burnout legends/dominator, etc. Some games were only compatible if you transferred them from your ps3 to Vita via usb (which we can’t do anymore). I bought Vita some months ago and is really nice to play on the go better than the phone. Sad is God of war Chain of Olympus and MG peace walker dosent have trophy suport.
a lot of games on the PS3, Vita and PS4 actually take which button is accept into account and adapt accordingly

This just made me realize how great the vita would have been for streaming games off the new plus subscription and downloading PSP games onto it. Thanks sony for giving up on it.
I sold my vita TV several years ago for way cheaper than I apparently should have looking at ebay lol. Just never used it.. Like my jak silver psp that was pristine but I just never got into it so I sold it too. Semi-regret it but they just sat on a shelf..
Downloaded The Sly Cooper trilogy to my PS3 the other day, it was quite the process. I'd like to quantum leap to the timeline where Sony adequately supports the 7th gen era. Probably called Kony or Bony though 😔

I sold my vita reluctantly. It's such a shame that Sony think handhelds are not important and let Nintendo take control of the sector with their overpriced handhelds. Ps Vita had OLED screen at launch and Nintendo have only just released an OLED version for their handheld. This shows how Sony was ahead of the game. Handheld gaming is perfect for when you're travelling or need something small to take with you somewhere. I really wish Sony kept the Vita.
I've played alot of ps vita this year, completed metal gear solid 1 , final fantasy 7,8,9 , crash bandicoot 1,2. It was awesome 😎
Would love Sony to make a new modern gaming handheld, but I don't see them being brave enough to do it ... sigh :(
Ya never know...I got a feeling Sony may do it again but they are sitting back watching and taking notes on these other hand helds like Steam deck etc to come up with something powerful for the playstation consumer

The Vita is the only console I own where I prefer to buy digital. That's primarily because I want Sony to know we're still using the Vita store. And the lower prices are an additional reason

yeah but you can easily mod it and play all of them for free or even emulate pretty much any retro or handheld game you want.

The PS3 store is good but the Vita one I really need to look into. It has broken thumbnails for sure and some searching isn't great.
Covering PS Mobile as a niche was a good idea as an archive/history and just smart even if 'niche'.
I like the Vita use of touch very much for the UI. Some games like Smart As struggle to allow support which for a touch only game (Start to skip intros only) it's unplayable unless I have audio playable or reset my system it's silly. But the bubbles/touch sensitive was great better than phones. Windows phone was pretty good but Android I struggle so much I hate it. I have barely used the PS TV/PS Vita TV but I like to have it in view encase need to use it. I need to work out content transfer to PC one of these days with a Vista/7/8 virtual machine or an 8.1 ISO to use as I still have my 8.1 install disk and Windows 10 compatibility for the app doesn't work so that sucks.
I am interested to get Disgaea 2&3 on PSP in the Vita store. Some games like Split Second aren't in my region sadly but oh well. I many a few PSP games I could buy digital for analogue/reconfiguring but eh I was fine with PSP use as is even if awkward. Like N64 it's the charm/rough period. I can't do PS3/Vita/PSP connect much anyway but to PC somehow. I think Minis were good. Got 1 that were expanded games on Wii U otherwise a Minis Volume 1 collection UMD. Otherwise emued a few and they were as awkward to fine as you'd expect of Bloons/Bloons Tower Defence 1 or Nova for example. Many Vita demos were fun though. For Vita games itself not sure yet I am very new to the library still. Iconoclasts was good on PS4 and playing through it on Vita due to crossbuy as I never had a crossbuy title before I never bought digital so that was cool to finally do. Maybe GalGun Double Peace even though I own it on my PS4 but Remote Play isn't the same obviously no crossbuy there. I have to think about the ones I want still yet (big ones physical if possible of the remaining ones I have to get and EU/AU prices not US prices) whether Vita ones for PS3/4 instead to play on the go or not and just have the Vita version of them I don't want to own the others.
Many PSP/Vita games I have to look at, have my eye on some PS1 just to have go the go/ones I never played I have a very small PS2 library other than GT1&2, Spyro trilogy and CTR nothing else noteable I am too new to the library besides the PS Classic lineup now. Am focusing on the Wii U/3DS stores but got to check out the Vita one while it's still got enough time
loaded twitch on the vita the other day and was surprised to see that it worked. i remember when twitch announced end of life for the vita but it works apparently it works now. the downside to the store is the the faulty memory card, i just bought one recently from japan and it started failing on me a couple days ago. $100 down the drain 😡
Lol lesson learned. Don't buy proprietary media, always hack your systems and use SD card adapters.
