Playing Support is rough because it really reveals to you how weak the mental of other Smite players is. I can't tell you how many times I've saved a carry by the skin of their teeth, just to call it me feeding, spam "Retreat Right Lane", and then throw the game because they can't stop getting upset 15+ minutes later.
Facts
These scum bags! I can’t stand dude! I main support and in Diamond. A trash carry will fuck up the whole game then blame you for it! ! ! Even when I put wards they still get ganked!!! It’s insane!
Don't forget they'll threaten to report you too lol
@@Dualities I push an enemy away with kuzenbo to give my ally time to run away but he got toxic like most players and accused me of trying to steal his kill while he was low on health and the enemy was about 70% health left idk what he was looking at to think he was gonna take him but whatever, he threaten to report me for "stealing his kill"
@@Dualities I'm not, I'm used to the toxicity of players on this game
Great video thank you!! Support is much more fun with the faster ttk now!
I loved how detailed you made this Dash. Very simple and easy to follow along with. Definitely gonna be trying some of these tatics in my game!
great video dash - you are very good at laying this out.
I've been looking for something like this so I can't wait to watch it and learn
Great guide 👊🏾
Dash, you keep me sane. ily ❤
AWESOME VIDEO MAN you should have more subs
This video was so well articulated and information packed, I have never seen smite content with this level of quality. Very impressed and learned a lot.
Thank you homie, I appreciate it!
I need this tutorial! I got really lucky with Khepri and I somehow am really high with him, but it really helps me to know how the number 1 player plays support hahaha
Ty sensei!
thank you so much
That pick and ban playlist with positioning guidance is goldust
Amazing video man, this helps so much, as someone that researches how to get better at stuff this quality of teaching should be the standard, quality shit
Good info. As a supp main I agree. Well worthy of a sun
This guide saved me from feeding when I get forced into support
Great guide - two questions:
1) What do you think of Horus support currently?
2) I was checking out Bake Kujira since I haven't played since his release and saw videos of him in support but your list has him listed as bad. Did something change with this god or do you not think he is viable for support?
1) Horus is in a decent spot. Currently the meta calls for early pressure and Horus fits that description very well. Only thing I don't like about Horus is he can be easily counter picked and his late game lacks compared to other supports. But if you can snowball with him he's great!
2) Yeah I've seen Bake win a single time in support all season out of like 15 games played (not kidding). I don't think he brings really anything to the table in support. Now in solo I think he's very good, but support he lacks compared to just about any other support.

Thoughts on selling starter items at level 20 for support? War banner specifically. I feel it doesn't outweigh a potential 6th additional other item whether Def or 1 phys
That's completely up to you. But I haven't sold a support starter in a very long time. Mostly because support starters are some of the best starters in the game and they all give you additional gold late game, which can be used for additional upgrades like 3k pots. But if you think you could go something better in that 6th slot, by all means try it out. See if you like it or not 👍. For war banner specifically, I've always found it to be a good item, it's very similar to energy talisman, giving you and allies attacks peed and ms, while giving you additional gold. It gives a ton of value.
How do you feel about Achilles as a support? I think he’s got fairly strong pressure throughout the early game when ahead, but he only has one consistent CC
I wouldn't consider Achilles to be a main support character, but you can still play him if you're having fun with it. He's not particularly good for a number of reasons. As you mentioned he doesn't really have CC besides his 1 and also he executes enemies which takes kills away from your jungler / carries early game. So the point of picking him would to be getting super fed and being very aggressive. He should feel fairly strong early, but fall off late.
@@Dashboarrdyeah, I really only pick Achilles support when I feel like my team needs really high early pressure, and my solo lane is magical. Been having a lot of fun playing into aggressive comps and Thanatos with achi. Thanks for the input!
This season for me has been the most frustrating supp gaps. When the other team has a good support and ours is just mindlessly following the mid laner around. Too many people still have it in their heads that the support should get level 5 and never go back to duo lane
12:16 You even included a clip of what most supp players go through... doing the impossible to save your teammate, just for them to die 1 second later
I tried it I suck.
you forgot the dark one ch2lu
12:25 f
RIP. Hate to see it.
Hey dash, can I get a science fact. Thanks
Where’s Cthulhu?
I don't consider him a support character, so I left him out.
@@Dashboarrd even after the change to his 2? I find him very effective as a support now.
@@kingkronosdc84psn he's still better in solo, though he isn't great in conquest I'm general...
I would argue that maybe prophetic is better for backline and mid supports, mainly because the aura has more prots than thebes. I also enjoy having at least 30%, preferrably 40% cdr so i have my abilities up more often to peel with
@@Dualities based on what?
Both are completely fine. You can build either Prophetic or Thebes, or you can build both. The way I view it is, Thebes is tankier early game, but Prophetic scales better late game. The reason why I like Thebes so much is because it's consistent and I know I'm gonna have it fully stacked by 10 to 12 minutes no matter who I'm playing, and it's still a very good late game item. Prophetic I can't guarantee that and it's ability to stacks depends on the character you're playing. But yeah, you can build whatever you think you like more. I often build prophetic in conjunction with Thebes.
@@Dashboarrd considering the consistancy of prophetic, how do you think hi rez would need to buff prophetic just to make it nearly as consistant as thebes? If that would be possible
