Thank you for another great tip. I'm wondering which solution is better: triggering the flow from the cloud (which requires a premium license for both options).
To be able to use the flow URL, you need to have a Premium license. If you have Premium, why use Task Scheduler? It's better to run the process from the cloud. But... if you don't have a Premium license, there is another option to trigger the flow at a specific time (of course, with the computer turned on). The flow can be started using a keyboard shortcut. So, the remaining option is to write a script that will do it (I will write and publish one tomorrow). What do you think about such a solution?

Wondering. Do you need Premium PAD to do this. I see that you do not in the video. Still the case?
These days you do, but you can bypass it with a PowerShell script. I will create a video, when I have the time 😊 Kind regards, Anders
@@andersjensenorg - Thank you for the reply and the great video. Look forward to learning about the bypass! I joke with others - I like to know enough to be dangerous - this would help!
This seems to be good, but it's not working; if the MAD instance is already running, you will end up with an error message that "Pipe named is already in use" meaning another instance of MAD is running. With this, it doesn't close the mad itself.

It Runs perfectly when started from PAD application, but from scheduler it just gives me the errror that the flow has stopped due to an error. The internet browser never launces. Note: This is going to work only in PAID version
Hey Matelight, you can start the workflows with PowerShell if you have the free version 😊
@@andersjensenorg how to do that in powershell?
I don't see Flow ID in flow properties, my settings have less options. What should I change?

You read my mind! Perfect timing 🤘🏾
Haha, thanks a lot, Casey. Next video is about how to schedule them from Power Automate cloud.
Hi Anders, thanks for the quick tutorial. I managed to do all that steps and my Power Automate automation ran perfectly. However, I noticed that the status of the automation still says "Running" even after the automation is completed. Would that affect my scheduled trigger for the next run? If it does, How do you make sure the status goes back to Ready?

Awesome. Thanks 🙏
My pleasure 🙌😎
Thanks. When the flow is scheduled, will the PAD window launch before the flow be executed ?
Hey bali, my pleasure. No, it will not open at all 😊 Kind regards, Anders
How do i do this if logged off? it triggers the flow but wont open the browser which is necessary to pull down the data i need daily
Great question, Jake - then we need to buy an unattended Power Automate Desktop license. Kind regards, Anders
muy facil, like
Many thanks ✅️😊

Could I do that on my virtual machine, when I am not logged in (unattended mode)?
Yes, for sure, but then you need an unattended license (which is more expensive). And then the concept is not a win anymore 😏
Hi Anders,
Hey Radum 😊
It was not obvious to me but, I think it is important to point out here that this only works with a Premium or Work/School PAD license? Not a standard home user PAD license?
Hey Jeff. True and thanks 🙂 A workaround is to go to Properties to the flow, you want to schedule. Define a shortcut, e.g. Ctrl+Q. Then schedule a PowerShell script that runs this at a certain time. The PowerShell script is 2 lines just. Kind regards, Anders
@andersjensenorg wow! Ok, thank you Anders! I will try this. I was looking for a solution like this but could not find it. Thanks.
GREAT work.
When you will demo PAD processing queue items (similar to UiPAth). I need info
Hey V, I don't have that planned, as I'm doing the 48 PL500 videos now. Kind regards, Anders
@@andersjensenorg can you refer me the content / article/ document regarding it please
Oh that's what i never though about. Thank you for your brilliant tutorial
Thanks a bunch, Apps 🙏😊
The PAD Console Host file is not on my pc. Do you know how that could be possible and if so, how to fix it?
you need premium license.
