    Nice saw. Live ash around these parts (Maryland, USA) are like hens' teeth.

    Wish I had a 592 thirty years ago, would have made made job so much easier. We used 254’s to fell everything

    The largest ash I've helped cut was ~30 inches wide, maybe a couple inches less. It's been about 6 or 7 years, so I can't remember for sure. My dad had an 028, my uncle had an 029, and our neighbor was using a 290. That tree took a while to get cut into firewood, but we managed it all in one day.

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s awesome, can’t beat a bit of bashin some ash 👍🏼

      @@MachineryNation that tree was so dry and hard that it made the chains spark and dull. It burned great, though!

    Would of been awesome to of had a drone view from top. Awesome stuff anyways.

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The drone footage at the end of the video was low as the wind would not allow us to get an arial shot. Thank you for your support 🤩

    With little stuff like that ash wouldn’t a 70cc be lighter and more efficient?

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      70cc would be plenty. This was the largest timber we had at time of filming 👍🏼

      A 92cc saw is more powerful than a 79cc saw and I own the 500i but I would like to buy the 592 to replace my 066

    The Lumberjack
    Jackyl
    Composition: Jesse James Dupree
    I was born in the backwoods
    Of a two-bit nowhere town
    Fathered up some rock 'n' roll (baby)
    So your mothers could boogie down
    I ain't whistling Dixie
    No I'm a rebel with a groove
    All around the world the go 'round and 'round
    When they dig on my new stainless steel sound oh, yeah
    I'm said i'm a lumberjack oh baby
    And I'm gonna cut you down to size
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
    And you're the one you're the one that gets my prize
    When you hear my motor running
    You know I surely be coppin' a rise
    Oh! So I'm gonna crank it up down the alley and jack it
    Woo
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
    Ohh I'm a lumberjack now baby
    But I ain't jacked my lumber baby
    Since my chainsaw you
    Whether you like it or whether you don't woo
    That's the way we like it

    Why you cutting down these fine ash trees

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do address this at the beginning of the video. Unfortunately they are suffering from Ash dieback a disease which is hammering through Ash trees worldwide 😢

  • @sethhaun4440

    Why do the foerigners' never use big bars????just don't get it???

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In this video we felled a 48” diameter tree… with a 24” bar I will let you do the ‘math’ 👍🏼 very rarely do we get bigger. It’s not how big it is, it is what you can do with it 😂

    • @jukeseyable
      @jukeseyable 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because we can keep a saw level while moving! Shocking I know, but some of us can do it. To us you are the freaks for thinking you need a bar as long as the tree is wide. Best learn to fall trees properly, than learning to fall urself dragging a stupid long bared saw around the place, 😁😁
