S-Tier should be reserved for the absolute best! Slide down then entire A-Tier down to B. It really makes sense that they're almost at the same level (KD is a B+, Jokic a B, Giannis a B-) Lastly slide down from S-Tier to A-tier both Russ and Jokic. Only Steph and DPOY Giannis should be in S-tier. Russ and Jokic 6-seed are in A-Tier KD, lesser Jokic, and lesser Giannis are B-tier (B+, B, and B-; respectively)
A tier list should be “normalized”. Meaning that it should look somewhat like a normal/Gaussian curve. Most tier lists have too many in the S-tier and that’s the case here. I love MVP Russ, but bumping him would’ve helped. I actually think only having steph in S and bumping the others down would’ve helped. I’m a Harding hater, so bumping him down to D and we’re good.

They ride Westbrooks D for carrying a shitty team to the 4th seed but will trash DROSE for taking a shitty team to the first seed, while being in the same conference as the big 3 Heat. Y’all have no consistency lol
The Westbrook MVP is one of the worst ever and shouldn't be S-Tier. His centers let him grab easy defensive rebounds just for the stats, his assists have always been more about forcing stuff than about actually being an even average decision maker and his scoring was underwhelmingly inefficient. And that's not because of his teams, because that's just how Russ has always been, an awful decision maker and a scorer with well below average efficiency and bad shot selection. He got the MVP because he got stats through volume and because the league had pity on him because his BFF left him to play alongside an actually good player.
Westbrook's high usate rate compared to the other past MVPs shouldn't be a negative in these tier lists, did it ever occur to you that the team was built around him and there's nobody else that can handle the rock and make plays? Casuals say he's statpadding and their best example of this is when he "steals" rebounds from his teammates but if you think hard about it, a chance for a fastbreak is tripled or quadrupled if he gets the ball first rather than waiting for a bigman to pass it to him off the jump. That team was built on fast paced basketball, they didnt have a lot of shooters. That MVP season of Russ is a hard S teir, stop watering down that accomplishment because not every player is the same
Nah man you guys have terrible memory. When Kendrick Perkins said that racism thing there was already the debate. And then the Nuggets suddenly started to lose every game. Disrespectful for putting Harden that low; he deserves to be in A tier, potentially in S tier, and for Russell Westbrook, I get what he did was special, but come on, man, S tier. Nah, that ain’t fair because Harden should really be up there and Russ should at least be in A tier, and the Joel Embiid hate is unreal.
I get what Westbrook did was unique but he was stat padding on a not great team. Couldn't most of the guys on this list have gotten higher numbers if they stat padded on a mid team?
Who’s here after It was just announced that Jokic won #3
Did he deserve it over Shai. Me personally I’m taking Shai because OKC isn’t #1 in the west without Shai
@@Ari3558Tbf the Nuggets wouldn't even be in the playoffs without Jokic. Play-in at best.

Steph 2015 underrated imo. Bro was already blowing out teams by the 3rd before 2016. That season and Giannis 2020 both of them were literally 6th man minutes 💀
Joel getting MVP was the exactly same way Myles Garrett got DMVP over TJ Watt last season. The media was trying to talk it into existence since week 1. The NFL's Twitter ever changed their background header to Garrett for a few weeks lmoa. Watt was robbed
Hating on harden who had one of the greatest offensive individual seasons ever is crazy. One of the greatest MvP seasons ever
It's an American past time
Lebron deserved it
It’s crazy James harden suppose to be a 4 maybe 5 time MVP but the media hate Harden so much they never really wanted him to win
Love how there is now a bald Giannis poster 😂😂😂
As a lifelong Russ stan, I appreciate the love for Brodie.
KD’s MVP season was won without Russ for a majority of the season.
It should’ve been S tier
Seeing it at A is fine because 16 Curry is just on a different level but seeing 17 Russ above 14KD is just funny.
@@snoylax69 prolly so, but I do think that if S tier are reserved for pure advanced statistics seasons, then 13 LeBron, 16 Curry and 22 Jokic are def hittin differently
@@MOCskoden in 2022 I feel like Joel should've won
The Golden State Juggernauts was the top seed in the West from 2014-15 up until 2018-19 EXCEPT for 1 year, which was Harden's MVP year and ya gave his award a C - holy shit. Literally the only team that had any chance at giving the KD Warriors a run and you gave that man a C.
S-Tier should be reserved for the absolute best!
Slide down then entire A-Tier down to B. It really makes sense that they're almost at the same level (KD is a B+, Jokic a B, Giannis a B-)
Lastly slide down from S-Tier to A-tier both Russ and Jokic.
Only Steph and DPOY Giannis should be in S-tier.
Russ and Jokic 6-seed are in A-Tier
KD, lesser Jokic, and lesser Giannis are B-tier (B+, B, and B-; respectively)
2016 Steph was the craziest basketball I’ve ever watched. I was amazed by something every single game
2015 steph curry is the only mvp on this list to win a ring the same year as he was regular season mvp. He should be A tier
Stopped as soon as you were putting stat-padder at S-tier immediately after Steph put on B just because ppg. Mind blown.
EAD
lol cope
Harden deserved that mvp
Cavs during that year were in turmoil
A tier list should be “normalized”. Meaning that it should look somewhat like a normal/Gaussian curve. Most tier lists have too many in the S-tier and that’s the case here. I love MVP Russ, but bumping him would’ve helped. I actually think only having steph in S and bumping the others down would’ve helped. I’m a Harding hater, so bumping him down to D and we’re good.
Isaacs disrespect to Russ and his meatriding to Jokic is crazy, spouting shit like saying it’s not even a conversation to who the better player is during their MVP seasons. His lack of basketball knowledge honestly baffles me sometimes
All the last 4 Jokic seasons were in the top 10 regular seasons of all time looking at the advanced metrics. every single Jokic MVP should is easily S tier. 1st, 3rd, and 6th best BPM seasons of ALL TIME.
@@rmickyminecraft3496 shut up with the advanced metrics shit, he does not have 4 of the best 10 OAT. He’s an elite player and I would agree 2 of his mvp seasons are arguably S tier but to disregard all of the other all time greats like they aren’t on his level is ludicrous, especially disregarding Russ’ MVP season that shit was out of this world and should get the respect it deserves
@@PenerzzI mean individually his production has been pretty consistent the past 4 years so if one of them is S tier I feel like all of them would be S tier. We're talking about all time great efficiency while averaging a near 25+ ppg triple double for 4 straight years.

Love Russ but Jokic is 100% a better player. Russ was a floor raiser, Jokic is a ceiling raiser. Even when Russ got PG OKC didn't really get any better whereas once Jokic got a healthy Murray back they were a championship team.
@@Penerzz Jokic’s season stats and career stats are only comparable to MJ and Lebron. it’s not disrespectful to other MVPs to say they aren’t on the level of Jokic when that’s the level he’s on. If you don’t like advanced stats than you’re just ignorant.

4:17 is the most casual take i ever seen winning an mvp does NOT make you best offensive player the only way he beat harden was because of all around performance but if you really think giannis is better offensively than 36 ppg ur brain dead
Dawg im telling you these guys be addicted to watching ESPN, like idk its just something about them they ride narratives so hard lol
Harden shot 44% from the field that’s terrible he also took 25 shots per game and was a free throw merchant with 11 attempts per game no wonder he averaged 36…. Giannis averaged 28 on 8 less shots per game and 2 less free throws he also shot 13% better
@@reags_8599is it really hardens fault for being a free throw merchant? refs call the superstar whistle not him
They ride Westbrooks D for carrying a shitty team to the 4th seed but will trash DROSE for taking a shitty team to the first seed, while being in the same conference as the big 3 Heat.
Embiid F and Westbrook S is 100% correct.
'15 Curry was the last MVP to win the chip the year they won.

Part of it was because Jokic just stopped caring about defense. Also Embiid did some historic scoring shit that season. It was only when the playoffs started, Embiid once again fumbled and Jokic playing like a god that people started saying he should‘ve won MVP. Also everyone in the media was laughing about that Kendrick Perkins statement.
the fact that russ and jokic got mvps being lower seeds should be a negative point not a positive one
I just hope Embiid gets some respect. The MVP is a regular season award, and over the last two and a half years, there has been no better player in the regular season than him.
I would take giannis and jokic over him but I agree some people underrate his mvp season cuz of playoffs
He is In F and he is still respected by them
To be fair, Embiid was balling out before his injury. He could of had a shot at a definitive MVP this season had he stayed healthy.
He’s been dirty but he did have a mvp caliber season
Jokic got his MVP cause people were tired of Jokic getting it and Perkins cried racism
