For those wondering, it's around the same price in the US ($45.99). For this price, it would make a great gift if you know someone interested in art. Just some advice for those new to drawing tablets though. Don't make the mistake i did. I bought an Intuos Pro small edition, but realized i didn't need it for my purposes. A cheaper one, such as this, would have done just fine for sketching and graphic design. I suggest only going for a bigger and more expensive one if you're a digital artist working professionally, i.e. digital paintings, animations, drawings, etc.

Just a warning for everyone that is planning to buy this tablet to use with Blender.
Ive received my A15Pro 2 days ago and its awesome. But one thing is really frustrating me... Everytime I open another window inside Blender (Render, Save or Preferences, for example), the pen kinda "stops working" on Sculpting and Texture Paint modes. On Sculting Mode, It only works if you deseable Strenght Pressure, or if you use the Grab or Snake tools that dont have pen pressure on Strenght. On Texture Paint you have to deseable both Size and Strenght Pressure.
So everytime I hit F12 to check my render, I have to close and reopen Blender so keep sculpting using the tablets pen pressure.
I dont know if it is Blender or Veikk driver (V2.0.0.3) that is causing this bug, but its really frustrating.
As this video was one of the reasons I bought mine, I thought this will help anyone that is thinking about getting this one.
i would send it back then. Since more recent windows updates a lot of graphics tablets have not worked as well. i# now recommend xp pen and wacom as their drivers are more stable

There is a faster workaround that Ive found instead of closing Blender, that is going to Window/New Main Window (Then I close the first one)
Im still learning to Sculpt so maybe latter I switch it to another brand. But thanks for replying my message.

Just bought myself one of these thank you ever so much for your feedback and review iv been using a mouse for zbrush sculpting for a few weeks now so this is my first tab it's coming before Friday :) I played £35.88 from Ebay there is one thing I am left handed and the pic on the information it can be used left handed I'd like to know if the glove with it can go on the left hand aswell please could you let me know if you still have this :)

that's a good question I tend to sell them on after I have reviewed them to fund my channel so rarely have 2 at that same time.

Good video, I am unsure whether to go for a wacom one or this :/ I just want a medium screen with good response time and accuracy.
this is a lot cheaper but with wacom you probably wont get any issues
@@grabbitt Thanks for the reply :) The " Wacom One M" is actually slightly cheaper where I am. I just wasn't sure whether the Wacom One was of good quality and able to be used for any professional needs being the cheaper tablet.
So Grant, I bought this because you recommend it on your blender video. But it seems like the hot key profiles for this don't work, which is very disappointing. It doesn't seem to recognize your different profiles. So I set up one for blender and photoshop and the custom hot keys that I set for those, neither worked. It would only send the default bindings to every program.
Edit: After a little digging around it seems the current drivers have a bug. When you add a new program to set hotkeys for it does not save the directory properly in the XML file. The XMl file can be found in: %appdata%
oaming\vktablet\config_user.xml if you search for blender or anything else you'll see mangled paths to the app names. Type these out correctly and restart. You may need to exit the drivers and open the xml file fresh before you fix the path names as it seems to actively overwrite itself if you try to edit while the driver setting software is open. You know it is working correctly if you see the app icons above the names for the apps on the function pages. If you just see a word with no icon above it, it means it doesn't have the proper path to your program.

I have a Wacom Intuos 4 and it is still going strong.
I also purchased a Titanium Alloy nib for my stylus and never looked back :)
I hate those plastic nibs that wear out fast. So this Titanium Alloy nib never wears out.
Also instead of drawing on the hard plastic I put a piece of heavy card on the drawing area. It feel fantastic to me as it feels just like drawing in real paper/card.

Many photography pros do not use 10" tablets. They go smaller or reduce the working are in the app so as to reduce hand/pen movement across the screen

to be hinest i am also confused with what the main difference is. The a15 seems slightly more rugged but i cant remember if it has the same response rate as the a15 so you might want to check that

Actually, this is my first graphic tablet as a beginner, before that i didn't use any graphic tablet rather than mouse and I have a problem with this Pen.... this thing when am using it.... it is not continuously working, i mean when i try to draw something on photoshop it is taking time to draw full line and can't we draw continuously like a Pencil on paper ?? So, is every tablet/Pen work like this or i got damaged one ? What do u think Sir ?

Hi Grant Abbitt, I bought the VEIKK A15 tablet today.. I think i just have 1 question.. I hope :p so in scupt mode I use my middle mouse button to move an object, can i do that to with the pen? Or do i need to adjust it in that driver program? Thank you for this video! :)

I bought this tablet based on your recommendation but I am having trouble with pressure sensitivity in Blender Sculpt mode but working perfectly in Vertex Paint mode. Any thoughts on that? Thank you.
it's a tough one as it can be very different for different peoples computer systems. Make sure all your drivers are up to date otherwise you may have to return it
@@grabbitt All my drivers are up to date and am using windows10 Home, Nvidia GeForce GTX645 with latest drivers. I didn't know i have the option to return it. I have had it since December last year.

I just want to know the comparison of wacom one and veikk, it seems wacom is the bigger brand, offering smaller size for less features, but veikk is offering bigger size more features for lower price, but I am afraid of the durability and servicing can you suggest which is good for online teaching

I'm struggling for A15 and A15 Pro, I know it's probably only the ring dialing different, and the ring having the ability to size in and out the zooming and brush. Is the only 12 keys at A15 able to set for these brush size and zooming? If yes I think the cheaper A15 maybe sufficient ya?

hey man, not sure if you would even read this comment but i just purchased this tablet and im trying to install the drivers on it but for some reason on the initial download, its saying that it cant install due to the inability to close all other applications and was wondering if you knew how to fix this or anything? im able to use the tablet but without the pressure sensitivity option and that was one of the features i was looking to get to the most
Have you got any programmes open? Try a restart and have another go if not
@@grabbitt i dont have any other programs open, i left for a couple hours and came back to my tablet and now its connected to the drivers thing that wouldnt open before but now it wont let me adjust my pressure at all and allows everything else

Veikk A15 pro or Wacom Intous medium ? I'm confused because the Intous has less pressure sensitivity than Veikk.
pressure sensitivity makes little difference to be honest anything above 2000 and you wont notice. You usually get more features with other brands as they compete for price with wacom
does the product quality reduce over the year sir? i dont want to waste money on cheaper alternatives then buy it again bcos it doesnt feel like the way it feels in day 1

I have the A50 and while it seems ok for digital sculpting it's not so great for traditional digital Art. The Pen is just too loose and unresponsive for me. I found I could doctor the pen tips with a tiny, tiny piece of sellotape to alleviate this a little.
Also it's worth noting that with a lot of these tablets programs like Blender and Zbrush will not recognise keys like shift or alt when you bind them to the tablet (or pen's) buttons without a workaround.
I'm thinking of getting a Wacom now I'm a bit more serious.
That's very interesting. I generally found I could get used to the pen after a little while but yes they are definitely more squishy than the Wacom. Shame the price of the Wacom is so much more :(
Hi Gabbitt and friends. I have bought a15 pro version. But I have difficulty in adjusting the pen for navigation. I would like it to behave like a mouse in sculpting: Ctrl + mmb for zooming; Shift + mmb for moving; also for turning on its own. But when I attain middle click function to an pen button on the menu; the click functions as one click although I continue to press the pen button. So this results in a little movement. Any idea for solving this problem? Many thanks

@@tazwarahmedjawad4301 i chose veikk a15 pro! The xp pen deco 1v2 was sold out so I opt to veikk a15 pro, i'm really so happy with veikk because the scroll wheel is so helpful and its so easy to use. I haven't encountered any issues about the driver nor the tablet and it has a lot of spare nibs

I was considering to buy xp pen deco pro and have seen this one's pro version... Half price of xp. Now confused 🤔
I'm still using the older H610. Bought it as a stop gap after my Wacom I4 broke and while it generally works fine for the price (I believe at the time it was also £40) it is obviously nowhere near the quality of the Wacom. I'm thinking of getting another like this one especially as I've had issues getting the Huion to work with PS (no pressure sensitivity on brushes) and also had to Macgyver a fix to get the shift button to work in Blender. I do use the side buttons so that's a plus for me but does the red scroll wheel work comparable to the Wacoms?

According to a google search the A50 has a report rate of 250 rps, whereas the A15 has 230. I don't know if that margin makes a noticeable difference or not. The A50 is very slightly cheaper in Aug 2020, so I'm choosing it.

it depends on how hard you press down on your pen when drawing. I have never had to replace a nib
I use pen and pencils with very light hand so I guess I will also not have to replace it then

Huion does not allow mapping, a huge issue, buttons betwen diferent apps. Other reviews say this one does.

I got an A50 about two week ago. I like it a lot but I don't have much to compare it to. Despite what Grant says here, you can reprogramme the buttons and change them to behave differently for different programmes, on the A50. I don't know whether VEIKK updated their driver software across the range since he reviewed the A50? The only problem with reprogramming them is that VEIKK's software is frankly a bit naff and you can't set it to a lot of useful things like pressing Tab or pressing Ctrl+Shift+something so you may need to change shortcuts in your software too.
I had a problem when I first installed it that the pressure didn't work, and I had to uninstall, reboot, and re-install to get it working but it's behaved well ever since.
I think they updated the drivers since my review
The trick is to make sure the Tablet is plugged in before you start your machine. This should remove any need to re-install drivers.
I'm fairly happy with the A50 but the fact I can't bind shift for blender or alt for Zbrush is driving me mad! (That and the rather spongy Pen tip).

JUST a heads up! I bought this same gfx tablet based on Grant's recommendation and was VERY happy with it while using it with Blender, it does make it more fun to play with... until tonight when Windows forced another update onto the world and now the tablet is basically crippled... I hadn't changed any prefs settings or such, but now it lags like molasses, can't use most of the Blender sculpting tool and the two pen buttons now act like mouse buttons that can't be removed.. (I used to be able to press the upper pen button to move around the screen...) Anyone else experience this and might know how to get things back to normal?
(windows Update also forced some new weird Edge thing on you... sigh, thanks MS... thanks...)

I found Wacom One by CTL-472/K0-CX Small 6-inch x 3.5-inch Graphic Tablet (sorry I just copy pasted the name) to be good for me.
Anyone knows if this tablet work with Krita 4.2?
I did not test Krita but there's no reason why it wont work as photoshop and blender were all good :)

I hate those digital touch wheels... I wish they had proper knobs. I have an old Intuos4 with a touch wheel and it sucks ass.
