Wow, probably the the most completely explained Camry transmission mount replacement video on TH-cam!

Hey Jose, you are a talented mechanic and also an excellent teacher! This video is informative and educational.
The reason I found your video useful is that I will be loosening the transmission mount on my 2010 Lexus RX so that I could lift up the transmission in order to give me space to get to a few of the very tight 10mm bolts that hold up the transmission oil pan. I learned this trick from another TH-cam video. However, in that video, that mechanic only loosened the transmission mount and he then jacked up the transmission for a fluid/filter change. After watching your video, I realized by following your specific instruction to loosen the front engine mount, I will likely prevent my car from being unnecessarily or potentially damaged by the tension created from loosening the transmission mount alone. Thank you, Sir!

Get a set of Snap on 60 degree offset wrenches - or purchase only the 10mm wrench. With this tool there is no need to lift the engine.

Another great video of 4 that cover replacing all motor mounts (3 base and dog bone on top). We (my daughter and I replaced on her car) ended up having to saw the top bolt as it was frozen in old mount. Then it was a little tricky to get the new bolt lined up and motor mount to ‘seat’-but were able to do so, using the bolt as ‘guide’

Hello Israel! This replacement is not hard, remember to loos the other motor mounts so you don fight the motor as you need to lift it to remove the motor mount. Loosen the other ones, don’t remove the bolts completely. Once loos, lift the motor carefully and take the motor mount out and put the new one in. Take care Israel!

Would motor mounts/transmission mounts that are bad cause the car to have a low rumble noise at around 20mph then go away when you are at speed? i only hear this rumble noise when the car is started... I know it's not an exhaust leak because I just replaced the entire exhaust with a new OEM and checked and hear no sounds or feel leaks anywhere.

Hello! We did not lift it much but, keep in mind that there are other components that you can’t see while you’re lifting the engine like the drive shaft, wires and more. Don’t want to lift it and brake or stretch wires to the point that they break. Lift it but keep watching and hearing what’s happening while lifting higher. Take well care!

I had a mechanic replace my transmission mount on my 2011 Toyota Camry. The car was still vibrating when i put it into reverse after he installed the new transmission mount. I took the car to the Toyota dealership. They informed me that the mount was loose or defective as they saw movement. I just noticed today that the top nut has no threading coming through it. Could this be my problem? Should i attempt to tighten it down some more until some threading shows through the nut?

Hello RKGSD! First of all, thank you so much for watching our video and for taking your time to comment that this video was very helpful. This mount is the driver side, there is another mount like this on the passenger side. There is no rear mount on this car only front lower, driver side lower, passenger side lower mount and the top damper mount located on the top passenger side. Hope this info was useful and take well care RKGSD!

This title is not correct. Model years for this body style end with 2011. The next (and best) style is 2012-2015.
