So a 14yr old CHILD has to take responsibility for another child. Yes Drs she is the bad one here. Not the person who did it to her or whoever was ment to be looking after her.
They could have just assumed that the girl left her baby to die. What if she intended to get help but collapsed? What if she didnt understand what to do and thought the baby was already dead? She would have been scared and fear clouds anyones judgment let alone a childs
If you collapsed, how can you put a baby into a bag??? The exact same logic can apply to an young adult woman as well but they don't get away with it. Let's be realistic. Unless she has a mental issue, she does understand wtf is going on. She just did it because she doesn't want anybody to know what happens to her. She wishes nobody founds the baby and nobody knows that she delivered a baby. Very selfish act. Being a minor is not a free pass to anything. I wonder whether you'll say the same thing if she throws away her child in a trash bin and the child dies. In fact these kind of incidents happen in real life.
@MelodySorrow that's quite black and white She may have put it in there to keep it warm and secure and then collapsed Being a teenager is actually a good excuse as firstly adults with fully developed brains and more life experience/wisdom can still make mistakes. Secondly, teenagers are notorious for not being good at making proper decisions. That's why they pretty much can't make their own life choices and have to have an adult advocate/guardian. People always like to say that teenagers should be treated like adults but only when it suits them. They want to treat teenagers like children when it also suits them. No wonder teenagers are so confused to be honest. They are essentially told to be children who act like adults.
@@LysetteDoe I didn't say teenagers to be treated like adults. Also, this is not about your brain fully developed or not type of problem. This is very low level moral problem. Even a kindergarden kid know this is bad. Kids around this age may not understand the situation but they know they need to ask help. Teenagers are much more smarter and and they know exactly what they are doing. I was once a teenager and taught many other teenagers. Most of them are smart enough to make right judgement and know their limit very well. Some of them are even smarter and responsible than most adults. Pregnancy and labour don't happen in a day. You have almost 40 weeks to think about it and have time to ask help and yet you didn't. Going back to my question, would you say the same thing if she let her child die or kill him because she was 'SCARED' and not sure what to do? Your brain not developed well logic is not a good excuse for this isn't it? You said people treat teenagers like adults but I think the opposite. Teenagers want to be treated like adults but when something happens, their excuse is always the same. I didn't know or I'm a minor. I honestly think this is disgusting excuse and the society is too gentle on them. You are responsible for your own action. They should never use it like invincible shield. I don't think she needs to go to jail on this but she must face what she did. The true victim here is the baby who was abandoned and almost killed by his biological mother.
@@MelodySorrow Well she had to put the baby SOMEWHERE. She didn't leave it to elements. She's up to her eyes on hormones, lost a lot of blood during labour, in a lot of pain. You try to think rationally in such circumstances.
The 14 year old kid one really annoyed me? We don't know what happened, everyone is just assuming - why the hell would sending her to prison fix anything? She didn't stand a chance
It’s just poorly written fiction, but considering what goes on in real life, your shock isn’t misplaced. This behaviour in teens is frequently a sign of previous s.assault. According to the US Department of Human Services, & RAINN, in America, it’s estimated that 1 in 9 girls, & 1 in 53 boys, will experience s.a. before they’re 18. And survivors of assaults are 4 times more likely to self medicate, and at a much higher risk of terminating themselves.
@@MarilineAdinacrosswhy? There is no reason to hold a child accountable for not being able to carry a child all the way to the hospital while bleeding, delirious and terrified. She put the baby somewhere safe and continued to try and get to the hospital but couldn’t even make it herself without carrying a baby.
Of course the 'men' go to town on the judgements of things they know Zero about. If it was a boy in some situation, they'd be coddling him. This poor girl is living in hell, tried to get to the hospital while in horrible labour, yet of course the males judge her to be a monster. Reflective of current judgey minds.
I hate when parents are like "omg stop running tests and tell us whats wrong with him!!"...like how prey tell do you think drs make diagnoses without tests? And the more complicated the more tests. I would be like yes do them all, then do more. Do everythign you can as we came to this *hospital* filled with medical professionals to find answeres...
This episode was brilliant. The girl seemed scared and confused. Then the sister refuses to have anything to do with her. Then she turns dark when Choi mentions the police. So in the end it’s hard to make a moral judgment about her. All there’s left to do is protect the baby who we know is 100% pure and innocent.
Mean no matter how "good" will always vomment rightousness about women or a CHILD that girl was probebly raped and all thwy could say was that she abondoned her baby, its like being born as a women is like condemnt verdict to bear a child and be mothers its like a punishment to be a feamale
There's a joke (satire, actually) in my country, I'll try to translate it to make sense. "A girl was born, well, it's her own fault". Born female = born a target.
Dr choy told her that the police were on there way to talk to her when the police came the doctors found her bed empty she abandoned her baby at the hospital and ran off
That last mother pisses me off. She SUSPECTED. And instead of actually trying to figure it out she put her head in the sand and pretended like she didn’t suspect a thing. She could have saved her daughter so much emotional pain. At least the dad was out of her life for many years. But shame on that mother.
Maybe. I have no tolerance for women who know something for sure and choose to support the man and not the child. But a six year old referring to “a monster” from a fictional book? My daughter was deeply and disproportionately scared of the movie Coraline when she was 6 years old. And it was just how her imagination got caught in the movie.
she divorced him though and forbade him to see the daughter for 22 years. even if she didn't wanna admit it to herself she still took steps to protect her daughter. of course the trauma went unresolved... but I can't be harsh on the woman who thought maybe it all passed. she's not the professional
@@suojelijatar those r some good points. I’m unsure that she refused to let him see her tho. He said she poisoned their relationship. What the dets of that r is not stated. It’s very likely that she simple said negative things about him and he chose to distance himself cause he’s a coward. I don’t really know. I’m def biased to this situation tho cause I had a father who suspected I was being SA’d and did nothing about it.
It’s easy to blame the mother, but without proof, she couldn’t accuse the father of touching their daughter. She might have had suspicions, but without concrete evidence, the father was innocent until proven guilty. Everything changed when the mother remembered the book Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll. She pieced things together after noticing her daughter’s distress, connecting the dots and finally gathering the evidence to confirm that the father had indeed touched their daughter when she was six. However, the mother also doubted herself. She thought her suspicions might have been in her head, imagining the "monster" from the book as a metaphor for something else. While she could have set up a camera to catch the father, doing so would have been an invasion of the daughter’s privacy.
I hate those shows. Never happens like this. They don’t have time to treat patients and most of us will come out with a wrong diagnosis or will end up 6 feet under
This is a very ignorant take on the medical field. Doctors work very hard and mistakes happen. They are very busy people and are often restricted by time. You do know that doctors are on a time limit during 1 to 1 personal consultations. This is a representation of the EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. Not a personal consultation.

For all we know, she could have been on her way to the hospital. Morally its wrong. But logically, she is inexperienced and doesn't know any better
That last scene still hits me so hard. That dad was a monster.
The suggestion of bringing those emotions etc to.the surface so we can address them is cathartic to much of what occurs for us at adults.
