This sounds nice. drums+mics are both really good. Really clear, and the top end on the cymbals is all there. The toms ring really nice. The funny part is how messed up the vocal sound is. That last lewitt mic video that mitch did had bad vocal sibilance. The motu m6 video mitch did had flawless vocals. Imo, post people need more consistency.
I’ve made 100% of my living from playing live shows since 2009. I have never once dreaded mic placement at a live show. But I do appreciate the point they are trying to make.
I mean.... it's DPA. I've heard Neumanns, I've heard Schoeps even, live and in the studio. However, DPA will always win for me when it comes to instrument mic'ing, bar none. You could run a good source through this and make it pop in any mix with literally zero, niet, nada EQ. Earthwork is a little too sensitive, almost too flat compares to human ears. Neumann is formidable but usually not for live. Schoeps are the best of the best in the world, but they're almost *too* good... DPA is always perfect. It's also why you pay 5000 bucks for a drum package (but all of those microphones will constitutes staples in your mic closet anyway, so I'd say it's a sweet deal). Edit : what company put a tiny sticker with an actual QR code to read specs on stage? Again. Only DPA!!!

The mics are getting better and better.
I was looking a drum mic packs yesterday. Sweetwater and Nick with the perfect timing.
Great mics! And even better sounding drums! That snare 🤤
While I would never spend this kind of jack on mics, I'm glad there are people who can and do.
Great kit!
