12:12 I wholeheartedly agree! Especially considering the close proximity to the drum-set, vocal mics can be thought of additional overheads incl. compression. Would I take dynamic mics with a 'signature sound' as overheads? Propably not. So than I also shoudn't use them for vocals.
Big Mick from Metallica also mentioned this sometime ago (he mixed with condensers only - also on James vocals - for a very long period of time). He also always started soundcheck with the vocals, because they will pick up the whole stage anyway. But starting soundcheck with the drumset is more destructive than constructive in the end.
Regarding microphones for instruments, I think you have no equal.. I love your products, although for Kick I prefer D6 and for vocals (which are too muddy) I would use another brand, for everything else DPA has no equal!
