Are the hammers and function on a Crosman 1875 and Umarex Peacemaker the same? I have seen a modification where you can reduce the hammer gap on a Peacemaker a little bit and it still shoots and functions. I'm looking to buy one or the other but I prefer the look of the 1875
@@quandalewarrior5889 you can find a tutorial here to do this mod: th-cam.com/video/mtdV5M6wqUs/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LaurentCassier It's for a Umarex SAA but it's the same for the Crosman Remington 1875. Please remember that this mod makes the gun non firing any more, it's just for collector.
First of all I have to say that this modification make the revolver not able to fire BBs but it takes 5mn to restore the orignal configuration. To accomplish this I removed the inner barrel to make the cylinder able to spin freely with the "clic clic clic". The to get rid of the hammer gap I modified the position of the hammer spring to push it on the frame. There is a second slot on the hammer where the spring can feet and since it's more on the back than the default position it makes the spring more tense.
@@LauCass i imagine that dry firing it will ruin the striker plate/hammer bump much more quickly with this modification? though i suppose if it's to convert the pistol into a fidget piece, that doesn't matter much. I actually might do this, since 99% of the time I'm only fidgeting with it anyway. Is there any possibility that you might make a video showing how to make the modification step by step?
@@ryukaganzeroful Yes the hammer bump much more quickly with this modification and the cylinder is spinning as a real steel. My hammer on mine broke from the tip, where could I find a replacement and is there any alternative hammer ?
@LauCass how you removed this ugly markings? Polish them off or use some kind of pant remover?
I polished them off slowly with an abrasive pad.
