it feels sooooo good...just did my first mix with it and I will never let it go... also, Core mixing system is all you need...no need for additional software
This, plus the console 1, along with the Avid Dock for transport and any hot keys, for me is the best DAW controller combo setup as a Pro Tools user right now (for the home studio at least)
Thanks! To process a track, you add the plug-in. Depending on your DAW, you have different possibilities to control your tracks without the plug-in added. We have more detailed info in this DAW Compatibility chart: www.softube.com/console-1-compatiblity-chart
On most DAWs yes (I use Reaper and would love to see Direct Control support for Reaper next). However, Cubase 13 (and I think ProTools now) can be direct-controlled without the plugin. However, adding the Console1 plugin to a channel gives you access to your softube, ua, and fabfilter plugins through the console as well.
what I look for in a control surface is a pan knob for every channel. So many fall short in this regard. im not going to flip the faders, I just wanna grab the knob and pan, just like on a real console. Gonna stay with the SSL UF8 for now... Guess I'll wait for the next version :D
I just ordered 4 of them to go with the console 1 channel mk3 I recently purchased. I’ve been waiting on this one for sure. I hope they make a master / transport section.
I ordered 1 of them because they have paging built in to support up to 100 tracks (a software/firmware limitation; likely a constraint of the microprocessor's multiplexing).
Question: If I was to buy 2 Console 1 Fader units, would I then be able to control the reverb send of Track 1 on one Fader Unit and the Volume or Delay send of Track 1 (the SAME track) on the second Fader unit, or can't they both work on the same track at the same time?
PLEASE add a custom MIDI CC mode for controlling virtual instruments, synths, plugins, etc,, and you'll have a market leading winner. This is a MUST for any top contender these days!

How to select a couple of tracks to move their volume at the same time (for example 8 tracks of background vocals)? If I group with the C1 Channel the Fader changes the volume of only one track at the time but C1 Channel volume knob changes the volume of all grouped tracks. Is there a way to make groups in fader?
No sure why so many are complaining about no transport. Don’t you already have transport controls? Most just use a Bluetooth keyboard which is way more useful.
I really like this unit BUT you can't read the labelling, its SO faint and the shift function, is almost impossible to read, overlays with clearer writing could be a solution? Also with the actual faders, its not obvious if the buttons are for the left or the right fader, as they are only SLIGHTLY closer to the fader on the right than left and at an angle/glance its not obvious and it should be .
It's such a shame that Softube has abandoned their users in the UK. We cannot take advantage of the 200 discount or the Fader MK2 trade in programme which were both offered for users in the US and the EU, same deal was offered to users for the Channel MK3 when it came out whilst users in the UK had no option but to pay the full price (which given that was in £ ended up being way more expensive than in the US and EU). You would think they would find a way to address this as this already happened with Channel MK3. Other companies have done it. I am getting the feeling that Softube doesn't really care to find a solution then? Signed, owner of Console 1 Channel MK2, MK3, Fader MK2 and over 70 Softube plugins.
I feel for you, Nikola. It's natural to feel betrayed if one has an disadvantage at a company one invested a lot of money in. However, maybe try contacting support. I'm sure Softube is not interested in annoying what can only be described as a "super -consumer".
@@akagerhard I already got in touch with support and sadly the answer was along the lines of "we understand but can't do anything about it". I love Softube and I want them to do better.

@@SoftubeStudios ok so I had to reset and update firmware, I should have done a video on that. Can you tell me please, is there a way to activate write on the channels instantly for a mix down, and also how to create a master, just use sends?. I love the product it has me feeling like real mixing not clicking. Great job. Could do with the ability in the next software update to edit the controls to add some cc ie. Stop start record. Would be really useful guys….personally I would have preferred the pan shell to be a jog wheel which could be clicked down to start / stop and a tiny button to record.

Looks awesome! I was waiting for a new version of Fader with displays for each channel…Softube delivered those and a lot more!
It looks awesome. I love the fact that you can use MCU. But at the moment, a grand is a little steep. 😢
Looks great (similar to Avid Mix with 2 additional faders and improved screens). Just missing some transport buttons and knob.
Amazing like a dream!!! 😍
Incredible really! Would love to see a single fader design from you guys!
Mine arrived a few days ago ... Love it!
Love it. Can I use 2 Channel units with 2 fader units?

It looks great! Can I control as well CCs? If I can set up CCs like CC1, CC7, CC11 etc.? Thank you.
I wish!
I think there are workarounds but it's not designed for that. Hopefully in a future update (?)
I was going to ask the same question... 😅
I need one! Now if only it would also follow LUNA's spill function like it does in PT and Logic with the Track Stacks and Folders...
No Transport😢😢😢...👎🏽
Omg omg ❤. Quick question please, the "group" function you described for pro tools and logic. Does it work the same for Ableton Live?
It does not with the console mk3. Hopefully they’ll fix that soon …
@@paulhellings yeah! Hopefully they can integrate 100% with ableton as well. Then it will be "shut up and take my money"!

3rd party plugin control maybe?
does "track follow selection" work properly on all major DAWs?

Yes! Yes! Fader Mk III works with Channel, Console 1 Mk I and Mk II, and Fader Mk I :)

Is it using Eucon to connect to PT?
Does it work with Davinci Resolve?
I'm interested, but topping out at 100 tracks is a no go for my particular circumstances.
