I would like to see 8 or 9 string cover of:
TEKKEN 8 OST | FIST MEETS FATE - Jin VS Kazuya Main Theme | Extended Video Soundtrack
ofcourse not full extended version xD
WOW! Andrew playing in standard?!? Never thought I'd see the day haha!
Check out the steps for the full fix on my channel! As Andrew said, the guitar has good bones but it needs a bit of work to get going. Always a pleasure to work with Andrew!
What was the idea for removing the paint from the top of the bridge post?
Couldn't that be left on while removing it from the ground wire contact underneath?
I fix up guitars myself as a side gig, and am just asking out of curiosity...
Maybe I'm missing something
@@moonboogien8908 It probably could have stayed on there but I took all of the paint off just to make sure. Electricity can be finicky at times so I wanted to ensure it was good to go right away. I might spray paint the top part black just to try it.
@@EricMorettin right on, I figured..... but yeah, better safe than sorry, lol.
I've watched all your fixes on Andrew's gear and love the content!
Thanks for responding 😀
@@moonboogien8908 thank you!! Appreciate you checking out what we do 🤘
Killer song. Proves songs can be heavy in any tuning, which is something people stress too much over. Nice demo too.
I watched this video and knew I could do the fix. Just got it today. THEY FIXED THE ISSUE.
Sick demo track Andrew, super tight production and killer riffs! 👌🏼🤘🏼
It's been fixed... I received one yesterday from Thomann absolutely phenomenal guitar with no grounding issue..
Good to know. I was thinking of buying this guitar.
I appreciate you as a TH-camr, and guitar player... I was gonna order one of these for my birthday specifically the v you are playing... I didn't order it and instead got the hb g212 vintage loaded cab. Which to my surprise was flawless upon arrival, the box suffered some damage but the cab was in perfect condition. My birthday being December 23rd. I don't ever get to do anything and I'm glad I waited to see yours and Glenn reviews on them and I hope they fix it too!
A deathcore song in E standard? Interesting. Was this just a kinda creative constraint set by you and/or Johnny, or was it meant to be played an octave down, like on either a bass vi style guitar, or an 8-string tuned down a step?
Just to see if we could as a challenge!
gonna get me one for sure. love tinkering
Apparently many of Harley Benton guitars are having this bridge issue. I had the same stuff with mine 8string one. Had to remove bridge completely and scrap the paint under it so it would make proper contact with everything. After that it's the most silent guitar I own.
Hay I really liked the song! The octave chords reminds me of old school slipknot. Good stuff keep it up!
Does anyone know if this is fixed as I am looking to purchase one of these pretty soon?
5:49 I had the SAME issue with passive pickups on the Harley Benton R458Mh Fanfret.
I took off the bridge hardware and sanded down the bottom parts of it (the parts that touch the body of the guitar) and filed out (just enough to remove the paint) the spaces the strings go through in order to make the strings make contact with the saddles which now make contact with the ground due to paint removal.
Basically I made it so you can't really see what I did to it but what was done was certainly effective.
The ground was connected but not making proper contact with my guitar and I've fixed this issue for other people I know on other HB's as well as a few cheaper LTD's and even a Cort lol.
wait, if this is active pickups why its needing a ground? i have emg replaced one of my guitar that have a ground but i have to solder off the selector switch cuz its making a noise. after that no more noise.
Man I love V shaped guitars I feel like getting a Harley Benton V even though they have grounding issues loke ypu mentioned.
Anybody know if this guitar uses EMG/Blackout compatible quick connectors? I’m considering it for a project guitar.
It's sad, here in Brazil, guitars like these are so expensive. I saw one saler asking R$2300 in the ST-20HSS, it costs 83,19€! Here in Brazil the basic salary is R$ 1.212
E Standard Nice!
I've been playing crappy guitars for years
And I honestly think this will still be an Upgrade
Does the ST version of this model have this issue? Or it's just this one and the jazzmaster? Great work by the way, nice riffs and good information, hopefully they get their stuff right because the guitars look sick.
As far as I know just the two new active models
I have the ST20HH Active. It had the same issues before I gutted it and replaced all the parts.
Which was my intention all along. But yeah, exactly the same thing.
Would swapping out the bridge with a different black one do it? I have a Gibson Les Paul Gothic (I love satin black guitars) and it doesn't have this issue.
In theory I’d imagine yes
Downtune
Please is drop B possible?
Hey dude what string gauge do you recommend for drop e 8 string with an evertune? The 9s I have on it honestly work cuz of the evertune but the low e is very floppy
What gauge is the thickest string and the scale of the guitar? I imagine they’re like the ernie ball skinny top heavy bottom, 80-9? I don’t have much experience with evertune guitars but I know dialing in the tension of the strings is kinda weird. Those are my questions for you Yui Hirasawa.
- From Ritsu Tainaka 🗿
I just use 10-56 + 80
If you installed an evertune and some fishman fluence moderns this thing would be a beast!
Those upgrades alone would be 3x the price or more for this crap. Might as well get a better guitar that doesn't need upgrades at that point imo.
so to clarify... if i just bought a noise gate instead of modding the V, it should sound fine? really want this but dont want to have to mod it
The humming noise still does come through while playing, if you can live with that then yeah a noise gate will prevent it from humming when you're not playing at least. I'd advise doing the fix anyways since you can still hear it come through on recordings if you don't do the fix though.
Well I just bought one. Heard that they fixed the issue themselves so we will find out.
Was the issue fixed?
@@AutisticViking83 no. Had to sand the paint off the bridge and bolts.. no big deal.. sounds killer though.
That hum sounds like something that could be heard in a black metal song - maybe it’s just me.
That song was sick as fuck
Stay grounded as Ryan would say
E standard?
2022 has been wild
One last surprise to close out the year hahaha
sounds like a new level by Pantera.
Much much better
those dissonant chords sound crazy
Sounds like Russian deathcore. I like it.
"E standard? What tuning is that?"
But seriously tho, make more E Standard songs.
Yeah, E Standard just sounds cooky and I am not interested in just about any metal in that tuning, but good job making something awesome despite that.
It is not necessary to remove the pain on top of the srew. now it looks ugly. Remove only where the screw touch the bridge and the wire.😉
Anodise insteady of paint
this is honestly heavier than some deathcore bands who tune way lower
Without watchin the video (it was a grounding issue)
e standard? isn't that a cardinal sin for you?😂
Sometimes we all have to make sacrifices
None of their guitar tuners are plastic... Pmsl..
Copied Glenn Fricker lolz
I'd purchase it if they fixed the issues.
