Chifure is amazing I love the toner+emulsion series they launched recently (there are several lines: Tranexamic acid, Citamin C, Arbutin, Glycyrrhizic acid). I also worship Chifure's Washable Cold cream as a first cleanser. I also recommend Mizuno Tenshi's hydrating gels (there are several type, Whitening, Well-aging and Lift). I also wanna recommend JUJU Aquamoist hydrating line, the essence and hydrating gel cream. It's, IMO, better than Hadalabo's Hydrating Line. Curel is also an amazing brand for dry and sensitive skin, it's a Must Try. Transino, my favorite whitening/brightening brand. Such high quality products. Quality 1st sheet masks are also Must try. Excel's Oil in gel cleanser is GREAT!!!! I love this brand. Suisai's Watercolor Cleansing Jelly (it's a first cleanser) Katase's Sheet masks. They have Fullerene masks and also EGF. Amazing ingredients. The entire Sukoyaka Suhada I4ea Moisture line by Ishizawa Labs is a Must Try. The eye cream is my Holy Grail. Dr. CiLaBo is also worth a try. It's a little pricey but it's super nice. Look, I'll stop here for now😂😂😂
Muji mild cleansing oil!! I really enjoy using it on my oily skin. Light, easy to rinse, and pretty hydrating too. And you can even get them in 400ml bottle!
I have super oily skin. My current J-Beauty favourites are: 1. Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil - the new formula - using Squalane as base oil. 2. Duo The White Clay Cleanse 3. One by Kose Balancing Tuner 4. Kanebo Skin Harmonizer 5. Kose Sekkisei Blue Watery Balancing Oil
SO happy you mentioned d program! during my trip in september i was last minute shopping at a cosmetic store in shibuya before it closed and i impulsively bought the moist lotion and cleanser because i saw that it was popular and good for sensitive skin. one of the BEST skincare purchases of my life. im sooo insanely sad i didnt get more while i was there
Ooohh you could check out: IPSA Time Reset Aqua IPSA ME Lotion (there are different kinds) Minon Amino Moist Whip (foaming cleanser) KATE Lip Monster lipsticks (very popular) Suqqu (makeup-really nice foundations but spendy $$$) Now i am off to check out that D program cleaner lol
I used to live in Japan about a decade ago and that Fancl cleansing oil has been popular literally since then! It’s a real J Beauty classic, like the Anessa sunscreens, Melano CC and Hatomugi toners that seem to remain popular even after so many years.
Fancl MCO - my holy grail for 15yrs n counting. A lot goes a long way and it's gentle yet powerful. The first time i got eyelash extensions, it was so uncomfortable but couldnt get to the salon. So over a few days, i rubbed the mco over it n the glue slowly unglued, n i finally got the extensions off, w no irritation to my eyes....off-label use hahah but thats jus how good it is!
My favourite cleansing balms and oils for make up removal are the Muji one, the Softymo Speedy (NOT the original) and the newer Rosette cleansing balm with the dark teal green lid. I'm going to try the Fancl one next-- how could I not after reading your comment?! Wow, 15 years of loyalty is impressive when it comes to skincare. I bet you've tried loads in the last two decades and still return to your OG love, so that speaks volumes when it comes to recommendations I act upon. PS= Fancl discontinued their Gel Cleanser a few years ago which is such a great shame. Nobody seems to miss it except me, which is really odd.
I have bought the d program of essence in cleansing form. It’s terrible and made my face very dry. I may give this brand one more chance after seeing your video. 😅
When I first started skincare 2 years ago, I went on YesStyle and bought loads of J-Beauty/Haircare. I'm so glad Japanese products are now starting to get the recognition they deserve. It's always been popular but this past year, I've started seeing a lot more skin-fluencers raving about J-Beauty 😁 J-B will always have a special place in my Skincare routine
Soo, I would love to see more videos of your recommendations of what is worth buying at J-beauty ❤️ I've heard that the Isehan brand mascara remover is very good and the Kiss Me Mommy Spf 50 sunscreen from the same brand is excellent 😘
This was so interesting to watch. Definitely got a lot of inspiration! I don't have much knowledge on j-beauty, so this gave a lot of information to be inpsired by.
for the Elixir to act as a sunscreen you would need to use two full finger lengths of it for your face and ears. It doesn't look like you use that amount so you should use a sunscreen under the Elixir primer.
I’ve been reflecting on my experience with Korean skincare recently, and I’ve realized that I’m kind of over it. Over the past four years, I’ve tried so many products, but none have become irreplaceable for me. While I’ve enjoyed using skincare like the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Tea Essence (great for my hands and body!) and Keep Cool’s Bamboo Toner (I still miss it!), most products felt same same but different. Korean sheet masks remain a staple in my routine, but beyond that, I find I can live without K-beauty. Which is kind of sad. In contrast, Japanese skincare has become an absolute must have for me. Their sunscreens, like Canmake Mermaid Gel and Anessa’s sensitive skin line, are far superior for me. Canmake is perfect under makeup. I’m loyal to Canmake the most, but I’m curious about Kiss Me Mommy sunscreens too. Japanese brands consistently deliver the quality my skin loves, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Like 4 years into Korean skincare tried so maaaany products and still Japanese wins. Its like trying „50“ Korean sunscreens and 2 Japanese and still the Japanese one won. That says a lot. For me Illiyoon is the brand I literally can not live without. I use the body wash, bodylotion, Handcream and the cream. Like my holygrails are literally Japanese brands I just realized that the last month or so. That said, there are still a few Korean products I’d like to try, like something with PDRN (out of curiosity) or the Aestura cream (just to compare it to my Illiyoon Ato Cream, which is a holy grail after its reformulation). But in general, I have mostly shifted toward EU, UK, and American brands for my sensitive/dry and dehydrated skin and my skin is thanking me for it. 😅
I wanna recommend some nice makeup brands: Jill Stuart, RMK, Addiction, Suqqu, Ettusais, &be, Fasio, Uzu by Flowfushi and of course Kiss Me, Canmake, Cezanne❤
If you want recommendations that have worked for me (30’s, dry/normal but often dehydrated) I swear by pyunkang yul. Their essence toner, cream, and balm are always in my collection and often $7-15 on yesstyle and other sites. Never once reacted! And worked in multiple climates. ETA haru haru unscented toner and black rice cream too!
How i wish you did this review before i went to Japan in sep and also fell into the Anessa mineral sun gel trap 😂😂😂 it is so shockingly bad i laughed when I first put it on and went to work with white eyebrows 😂 actually cannot believe the formula passed Anessa’s QC hahaha
Soo, please do a tutorial on how to prep skin before using a foundation or cushion foundation. My skin ends up flaky and dry after few hours when i use a foundation. Please help!
I know it's ridiculously, almost offensively overpriced (I cannot think of a single good reason why it would need to have the high price tag), but the 'Hybrid Gel Oil' by a brand called 'The Ginza' is sensational. I'm so angry that it's so excellent! I love it but refuse to spend that sort of money on a basic daily moisturiser. I'd love for someone in the industry with extensive knowledge of Japanese skincare development and production to talk me through precisely what makes it so good...and work hard in justifying that price to me! 🤨
I am officially HOOKED onto the world of J-beauty!! Please let me know what are YOUR favorite picks from J-Beauty!!!

D program is so good!!! I love all of the colours❤❤
Hi, thanks for your review. Have you ever tried IPSA, it’s under Shiseido as well. Just want to hear your thoughts about it.
Yes please more of such videos 😊 can you please also do a review of daily Japanese sheet masks and maybe compare them to the Korean ones?
I have bought the d program of essence in cleansing form. It’s terrible and made my face very dry. I may give this brand one more chance after seeing your video. 😅
Heroine Make Mascara Remover, all time fave Japanese product besides the Nivea and Biore Sunscreens lol

Ishizawa Lab Urea Lotion (toner)
It’s gentle but amazing for skin texture

SK-II essence for me is the best J-beauty product. Quite expensive but worthy

I can totally do a video on that!!😊❤
Elixir is not available on Yesstyle atm 😭☠️😭
is J beauty or K beauty more affordable?
Both K-beauty and J-beauty have affordable and high-end brands :)
They're essentially the same price range. THAT SAID, JBeauty often has jumbo sized products with very reasonable prices.
I HATEEEEEE that blue sunscreen from anessa omfg
Eyeliners! All of them! Dejavu, canmake, everything

Maybe you can look at the ingredients and see what else is similar? I wouldn’t be able to justify such a high price point either loll 🥲
@@lll1122 I don't know anything similar in terms of efficacy and the product's unique and enormously satisfying consistency. 😥
Wait is kbeauty like the sell out brother of jbeauty wait. I was not ready for that
