I recommend “Appentice” pen cartridges for tattoo machines. They’re $40 for a 20 pack. You can combine that with a cheap wireless tattoo machine for ~$100 and you have the best option in my opinion. Lower the voltage to 5.0 (4.0 if it can go that low).

a little tip: for the darker parts i put down some dense squiggles and then stipple on top of that. it saves sooo much time.

I think the human stipple machine has the most potential, but an interesting exercise :) Maybe a colored stipple piece in future, or a mix of the multitude of gel pen colors, in different shading styles? Either way, thanks for the enjoyable watch.
