      @@suleymanisbackintown that's right, in the beginning of Dance of Eternity we can hear small snippets from the original Metropolis part 1 song. That's how Dream Theater tied the two Metropolis together conceptually🎶

      Except from the obvious Metropolis Pt1 intro at 1:31 and the instrumental part at 1:51, the part at 1:38 is actually a part of the Part 1 instrumental played backwards

      I literally just realised that too now :D I think it's really hard to place because not only have they filtered it to hell, but the song doesn't line up with the start of the bar in the Dance of Eternity intro, and it's so short that your brain just fits it in as this cool, syncopated pattern so you're not hearing it in the context you'd expect. Now that I heard it here it's like being able to see an optical illusion and when I listen back to the intro I can hear it now! I've literally been listening to the song for about 14 years, it's madness that I never realised until now!!
