    I very much appreciate your review as a new user of the Ozlo Sleepbuds myself. I was recently gifted these by my partner (I'm narcoleptic as well as a light sleeper) so these sleepbuds have been life changing for me. Yet I did have some concerns regarding the app and connectivity, and couldn't find much information online. Your video actually answered all my questions and validated my experience as a new user. Thank you for your sincere and insightful content!

    Was looking forward to hear your thoughts about these.
    Good point about the pillow with opening in it, for some reason I’ve seen that mentioned but never considered it as an actual solution to be able to use ANC options on the side.
    I’m very interested in how comfortable these would be in the ear, as you mentioned the two most important things are comfortability and how well they keep out sound for sleep earbuds.
    That is some serious pricing though.
    Another well produced enjoyable review .

      Hi! Nice to hear from you again, and thanks for your kind words:-)
      I thought I'd bring the pillow in as a few people have asked me about them in comments over the last year. I'm not sure how many good ones exist, as it's quite a niche product. The one I have seems good though.
      They are very comfortable, but yes, pricey too. It continues to surprise me how expensive sleep headphones can be. I guess it's partly the lack of competition.

    Question would you recommend the Ozlo or A20 to blocked a several snoring ?

    • @nosleeplessnights1

      They can both block snoring, so I would choose one based on other factors such as the price and features you're looking for.

    I’m quite lucky I came across your channel and this video was uploaded today as I just started researching the best headphones to buy for my husband on his birthday. I literally had no clue where to start and he already has a collection of sleeping headphones as he has to listen to podcasts to help him fall asleep but due to comfort or the fact that they just roll out, makes it so hard for him to rest.. these sleeping problems exhaust him and I’d love to find a way to make his life easier.
    After reading that Bose sleepbuds were quite popular at the time and looked at where to get them, I find out that they were discontinued😅 I felt bad, and then found out their creators made Ozlo! I felt like I had go through a quick round of disappointment and now excitement.. and after your review, I am definitely leaning towards investing in these sleepbuds since they’ll be used exclusively to help my husband with falling asleep. Would be really exciting to see their new release and get those too :)

      Hi! I'm happy you stumbled across my channel then, and I hope the video answered some questions.
      You definitely got it right about the exclusivity for sleep point. As I mentioned in the video, they need to stay in the bedroom really (plugged in ideally).
      Does he listen to audio to block out other noise, or just because it's relaxing? If it's the latter, and he usually finds headphones uncomfortable, you could also consider a little pillow speaker. The audio quality will be bad compared to stereo headphones, but they get the job done of enabling quiet bedtime listening for a very low price.
      If you do get the Ozlo, I'd love to hear back from you with some thoughts on how he thinks they compare to the others he's tried - if you have time:-)

      @bobisstilllost8959 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ The video was really helpful, and I’m thankful you took the time to reply with a follow up question!
      I tried to be subtle when I asked him your questions, and he said it blocks out the noise in his head by focusing on a “normal podcast” that is not too interesting where it would catch his attention instead, and he also finds ot relaxing which helps him to just drift off. I don’t snore and we’ve got good soundproofing so it’s not noisy at all. He has these smaller EarPods, or those headband looking headphones, but I don’t think they fit well and they often fall out or puts a lot of pressure when he sleeps on his side.. the fact that Ozlo can stay put and fit in different earlobe sizes then getting them is most likely to be my next step over the coming days :)

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No problem. I know they are quite expensive and won't be right for everyone, so if I can help people decide in advance whether they will suit them, I can sleep well at night myself!
      I've tested several headband style headphones in the past too. There is a huge difference in the quality and comfort between them, with a lot of them having ridiculously lumpy speakers inside thin fabric, which always surprises me since they are supposed to be for sleep. Some of them are good though and I know a lot of people love them.
      Listening to a monotonous podcast is actually a very popular way to relax and fall asleep. Hopefully he will like the Ozlo if you do decide to get them. You can always send them back if they aren't right - just keep an eye on the returns window:-)

    So it seems to me that given the price, the features, and the overall quality of the A20s compared to the competition, Soundcore really nailed this product category with their 2nd gen version. I was curious to see if Ozlo had developed some big advancement in this space, but after watching this review (laying in bed with my A20s in) it looks they haven’t even come close to matching the value that Soundcore offers.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I can't argue that the A20s are comparatively good value for money when you weigh up the price and features. As I said in the video, there are things I think Ozlo do better - more stylish design, smaller size, more comfortable, and the quality of the (limited) noise masking sounds.
      But, if you already own the A20s, and they are working well for you, I would say there is absolutely no reason to spend even more money on the Ozlo as they won't feel like an 'upgrade' in their current form. You'd soon notice the worse connectivity and battery life, the lack of features, and the inability to mix a much wider range of sounds.

    Great review thank you for the upload! 😎 I was really curious about your opinion on the Ozlo's since you have also extensively used the A20's. I've used the Ozlo's since August last year, and picked up a pair of A20's last November after seeing your review (got a nice black Friday deal on them so thanks for that 😇).
    I really only use the earbuds for playing noise masking sounds with bluetooth turned off. And don't use the option to stream TH-cam/Spotify/etc.
    Personally I like the A20's more, but really only because of the battery life and personalized soundcape masking options. My Ozlo earbuds stop playing after 8.5 hours even though I use a library sound (no bluetooth) and keep the volume low. For a €300 _sleep_ bud I feel 8.5 hours is just not enough.. If the battery life deteriorates even a little bit more.. the become unusable for me 😑 Even though the earbuds are so nice and comfortable!
    Do you have any other sleep tech reviews planned for the near future? 🙂

      @nosleeplessnights1  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You're welcome, and thanks for your kind feedback:-)
      It's very interesting to hear from someone else who has tried both. The battery life is an area where the A20s are better. If I slept for a long time every night, I'd be worried too.
      Fortunately (or not) I tend to get 7 hours on average, so it hasn't been an issue. But yes, if you listen to something while relaxing, and then expect them to last all night, it's a potential issue. 8.5 hours seems a bit short though, as I found they last a bit longer.
      I always have lots of sleep tech I'd like to do test or compare. The problem is the time it takes me to actually do them, not the ideas! I need to get around to updating some of my big comparison videos with new ones, but they take ages...

    Thank you for the great and comprehensive review!
    I got them a week ago but I still have trouble finding the good fit. When I sleep on my side, I really feel the pressure and their contact with the pillow. Which sizes are you using for Right and Left? Also, do you think using a softer pillow helps? If yes, do you have recommendations?
    I'd appreciate it if you had any advice for solving this. I also like your pillow suggestion but not sure if I should really get that.
    Thanks again for the content!

      @nosleeplessnights1  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You're welcome. Thanks for your feedback too - I really appreciate that.
      I use size 2 for both ears, but I also liked the size 1 when I tried them. I 100% think a softer pillow helps, with these and all other headphones I've tested on my side. I use a soft feather pillow, and go through the boring process of fluffing it up every night to stop it compacting. I also used a simple fiberfill pillow from Ikea and that worked well.
      The pillow with a hole works really well at the start of the night. But when you roll around in the night, you might sometimes miss the hole and end up with the earbud pressing on your ear again.
      You could always try one and send it back if it doesn't solve the comfort problem for you.

    These are essentially the next evolution of the Bose Sleepbuds II. In terms of audio capability, the Bose Sleepbuds II were similar to the Ozlo version but limited to a fixed set of noise-masking sounds (no Bluetooth audio). I own the Ozlo earbuds and I really like them. I use Bluetooth audio for about 30 minutes before sleep and then switch to a noise-masking sound for the rest of the night. I don't go above 60% volume, but if I sleep for more than 8.5 hours, the batteries sometimes end up fully drained. The alarm won’t sound when the earbuds run out of battery. Because of this I have to set a backup alarm. These would be nearly perfect with improved battery life.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi, and thanks for sharing your experience. They are indeed, but I didn't want to focus on the evolution point much as I prefer to judge them based on what they are rather than adding too much support based on the history of the tech in what is now a different company - if that makes sense.
      The fact that you can stream your own audio is definitely a massive plus compared to the Bose Sleepbuds II. I could never understand that limitation.
      You make a really good point about the backup alarm. I use a vibrating alarm on my sleep tracking watch and a wake-up light with sounds too, so the alarm isn't something I was worried about. But that is true - if you run the battery down and sleep for a long time, a backup is a good idea.

    Hi! In your opinion, which provides better value: the Ozlo or the Soundcore Sleep A20?

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      That's a hard question to answer because value for money is often relative to what you're looking for personally, and your budget. The simplest answer would be the A20s because they were designed for the same purpose, but are much cheaper and work well enough for most people.
      But being better value for money doesn't necessarily mean they are better overall. It's more nuanced than that as the Ozlo are definitely better in some areas.
      Without wanting to sound too vague though, I think the A20s are better value for money overall. If Ozlo improve the annoying connectivity issues and add a lot more sleep sounds, maybe it will swing the other way. But for now, the A20s are in the lead in my view.

    If the Ozlo are anything like the Bose Sleepbud 2, after 6-12months they’ll begin to have connection problems. Mine were fine for about 8 months, then the left one wouldn’t connect to the case eveytime. This gradually got worse to the point neither would connect at all no matter what I tried. Did all the factory resets and everything else. Loads of issues on Reddit. They eventually ended up in the bin. I’ve had the A20 for almost a year now and they’re much better. Thanks for the video.

      You're welcome, and thanks for sharing your experience too. I know the Bose Sleepbuds 2 had a lot of connectivity issues. I read that Bose discontinued them because there wasn't enough demand, but I did wonder how much of that decision was down to the sheer quantity of complaints.
      The Ozlo have evolved from them, with clear differences such as the ability to play your own audio. Hopefully they will last longer than 6-12 months!
