I had a front yard doing nothing. I have planted 10 trees, 5 different berries, herbs, bananas, annuals, (I let some food drop to reseed) 2 different sweet potatoes, 3 different king of beans. Ginger, cardamom, turmeric, all pleasingly growing in my front yard. All since February. Its glorious and I have already enjoyed some of offerings.
While this is a very expensive build, if it could be mass produced without losing quality, it would be a great alternative to standard mobile homes, and for a tiny home on wheels. Kudos to all involved in creating this and filming it to share with the world. Much love and appreciation!🥰
This is what I want some day. The vast permaculture garden, off the grid and green, even the ice bath and sauna. All the wired connections and ports is fantastic. Looks like such a wonderful and serene way to live. Not running away from modernity but embracing it and making it work for living closer to nature
This man is a genius and a humble human being. He has created every inch of his tiny house intentionally. His beautiful work reflects as much as his beautiful personality.
The element unmentioned yet without which anything would 'work' is beauty, Beauty, beauty, beauty! Outside, inside, everywhere, the senses encounter beauty. Natural beauty, environmental, above and below, and added to it the meticulous attention to materials, to scale, to form and function - all beauty. Thank you!!
I just LOVE how so many elements were brought together on this property! They have integrated the things important to them into such a functional, beautiful system of living. Very inspiring to see what it can look like!
I'm blown away! Thank you for giving the garden some attention as I am a passionate gardener and this garden stole my heart! The mobile home looked like it perfectly belonged in the beautiful mountain environment surrounded by fruits and vegetables.
So clever. Love everything about it. 💕 It brings me to the 12 years we waste at school. We should learn all of this at school and more so that when we finish school we are all more conscious and productive. Living the right way in harmony with our earth and each other. I have a Permaculture Certification. It changed my life. I changed from a lack mentality to an abundance mentality because when we observe nature, and grow food, we realise the clever abundance design nature has created. Well done. 👏👏😊
How did you get your certification and how long was the course? Also, could you share how much it cost you in total? Thank you so much for any information you can share. 🙂🍅🌽🍉🥕🥒
@@nostromo7928 Hi, sure, I did my Permaculture Course in South Africa. If I remember correctly it cost close to R4 000.00 South African Rands. In SA Rands, at that time I found it expensive. I paid off the course. All the students stayed at the farm for over a week. I did my course at a place called Hope Farm. I dont know if they are still doing course. The reason why we stayed at the farm is to see how all the Permaculture systems and procedures were all implemented on the farm. When you see it in real life, you understand everything better. We started lectures early in the morning after breakfast. Did various tasks. Had lectures up until 10pm at night. Then on the last 2 or 3 days and nights we had to design our own Permaculture system. We were each given a real map with contour lines on it of a piece of land. Everyone got a different piece of land. We had to design a Permaculture system for our piece of land using our course notes and what we were taught. We worked day and night on that part of the course. At first I found it difficult but eventually did wrap my head around it and completed my project. I had to wrap my head around 96 thousand hectares of land which I think my piece of land was. Once we finished our assignment, we all had to go up and present our projects to the course leaders. They evaluated us to see if we understood what we learned and could show that in our projects. If we passed, we were given our Certificates. I did pass. I found it difficult because I had never done anything like it before, but eventually did get it all together. We did an intense compressed course. That is why we worked day and night. I am sure many places that teach Permaculture each have their own way of doing the course. Although I felt like I was in boot camp, I was happy that I did the course. It changed the way I see things. It was so beneficial in my humble opinion, we should all learn these skills at school. Nature is abundant and when we all start growing food, there is zero reason for food shortages and hunger. The food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, etc, dumb us down and control us to be dependant, and buy everything, so that they can make a profit. That is in my opinion why we are also controlled at school. We spend a huge chunk of our time at school and don't have any real skills to live. Yes, we need to learn how to read and write, to calculate, etc. But schools should teach us how finances really work. To be entrepreneurs and not slaves. Or how to grow food. Everyone can grow something no matter where they live. We can grow food in pots, on balconies, in old tins, on roof tops, in gardens, on sidewalks, in car park library gardens, in parks, around our house, on land, etc. But we don't even think about it. We just go to the supermarket and buy chemically sprayed, genetically modified, monocrop fruits, herbs, and vegetables. And pay a high price to the corporations that are profit driven. That is why most people live from pay check to pay check. We are controlled to never break out of the lack, not enough or poverity mentality. It is fake. I want to leave you with a thought. Nature is naturally abundant. I use my tomato idea. I thought about this by myself. Take one tomato. Nature wants to perpetuate itself in it's design. It produces many seeds! Man wants to take natures blueprint pattern, modify it in a lab, and Patent it for ownership, control and profit. Pattern ➡️ Patent. It should be prohibited to Patent nature. In one tomato there are many seeds. Not just one. Eat the fruit, SAVE the seeds. Then you can grow many tomatoes. When all those tomato plants you grew produce tomatoes, you get many tomatoes with hundreds and hundreds of seeds, just from your original 1 tomato. From the harvest of all your tomatoes, you can keep going and going each season. Can you see how it compounds itself. In Permaculture once principle is to have more than one use for everything. With tomatoes I can eat some fresh, preserve them, make jam, make a sauce in bottles, dry the tomatoes, and always SAVE seeds. Saving seeds is key. When you grow your own lettuce and leave it to go to seed, you will see how many seeds a lettuce produces. All by itself. Nature is so intelligent. It wants to perpetuate itself and life. Abundance is in the blueprint of nature. It is so obvious and simple yet we as humanity have been dumbed down. Now once we all wake up, and start growing, we get to a point where we can share. Share SEEDS, share produce, knowledge, etc. There is zero reason for food shortages. Or starvation. I was working in a boring, stressful corporate job. I didn't think about what I explained. I was running in the hamster wheel. And then I did a Permaculture course and I had a paradigm shift. I hope this helped in some way. If you are inspired, you could go and find a place you resonate with to learn Permaculture. The more we share with eachother, the more of us can help make a difference in our small way. I am freely sharing knowledge I paid for to learn to help to teach one man how to fish. 😁 Remember the storey of the fishes and the loaves? It is a metaphor. When we all pool our resources together, we will end up with more left over. Isn't that what we want? To see everyone thrive. When we all do it together, we can change the world. I believe it emphatically. But it starts with me. And you. We can sow literal l seeds and seeds of knowledge. I am not growing food at the moment, but I am saving seeds from everything that I can. And I share knowledge happily. Heirloom seeds are the best. Those that nature took billions of years to perfect. I wish you and yours an abundant, happy free life. 😊💜🌿🌱

Another lovely video. I’m still perplexed where and how the produce is stored both short term and long term. Traditionally where I’m from there would be a larder or cellar to store fresh and prepared foods. While the concept of this tiny house is appealing the practicality seems limited.

This is exactly the kind of setup I dream of. A tiny home on wheels in a natural setting, yet still close to an airport for travel. I'm so glad to see all of the living space on one level as I can't see myself climbing a ladder or stairs as I age. Everything taking advantage of the amazing views and an edible eco garden. What more could you need or want?
@Shep Raynham I imagine the channel viewership is made of people with all sorts of perspectives, including those that both care about the environment and also see international airline travel as a means to stay connected with loved ones and/or support a livelihood.
@Shep Raynham Some people aren't extremist. Balance is key. These people have to use airplanes in their life, (as do many for good reasons) while doing their best to reduce their personal damage. They are doing their part, which is way more than the average person does. Kudos to them.
Thank you soooo much. It's been almost impossible finding a builder for a dome or quanser home, I may have to buy a pre manufactured home . Or a tent. But I have the awesome land.
Would these tiny house people live in the same space till they grow old and die? Or will they move when the going gets tough? Or when they get bored? Kirsten you should do some real off grid living in the forests of Chhattisgarh in India.
YES more food forest stories!!!! Please keep em coming!! 💚

That is one impressing home :)
Thank you for sharing❤
Such a neat build.
@Shep Raynham How do you travel overseas?
@Shep Raynham I imagine the channel viewership is made of people with all sorts of perspectives, including those that both care about the environment and also see international airline travel as a means to stay connected with loved ones and/or support a livelihood.
@Shep Raynham Some people aren't extremist. Balance is key. These people have to use airplanes in their life, (as do many for good reasons) while doing their best to reduce their personal damage. They are doing their part, which is way more than the average person does. Kudos to them.
Given the issues of food scarcity, how do you store food long term with so little space?
Lol. In the garden. It's Barcelona something will always be growing.
Very nice project!
I would like to come and visit, it is close to Barcelona right? You made a little paradise.
Thank you soooo much. It's been almost impossible finding a builder for a dome or quanser home, I may have to buy a pre manufactured home . Or a tent. But I have the awesome land.
Nice garden.
Most impressive on all accounts.
Would these tiny house people live in the same space till they grow old and die? Or will they move when the going gets tough? Or when they get bored? Kirsten you should do some real off grid living in the forests of Chhattisgarh in India.
Would be interesting
