So cool to hear that. I heard about the museum but never looked into it as it's not near me...then I decided to look into it and found out I could drive there in 9 hrs. I'm thinking about doing it up.
I'm currently designing a music academy for my client here in Nigeria. He talked a lot about "The museum of the Bible", asking to incorporate the exhibition style used in this structure. This tour was very helpful, Tim. I hope to take a physical tour through this amazing facility, someday in the future.
Hi Lauren. Just a word of encouragement to you…you can do it!! Just open up the Bible, ask God what He wants to say to you, and trust me…He will speak! Praying that you fall in love with the Bible as I did more than 40 years ago! ❤
Six floors, wow! Thank you, Tim, for showing us around. By the end I was thinking that it could take many days, or weeks, of close examination to take one’s time while studying all that the Bible Museum contains. It looks amazing.
I hope that was Becka filming, with all of that coolness and art, literally surrounding you. And it looked like you pretty much had the place to yourself! Now my husband and I MUST go! Thx Tim! And camera man or woman! Lol 👍🙏🏻🥁
Tim, I know that you live in TN. Have you ever visited the TN Museum of the Bible in Pidgeon Forge? I havent been there yet. My wife and I and some friends from church will make the trek to check it out. While it may not be as sophisticated as the Bible Museum in DC, it is still a very well done museum. We also plan to travel to DC to check out MOTB. We are SO FORTUNATE to have access to the wonderful story of how GOD bestowed HIS WORD to mankind.
Was this previously in London? I believe I stumbled on this museum/exhibit in London on a business trip! Amazing bibles were on display. But It could be something permanently there. This was around 2016-2017.
Wondering if the Museum only covers the canonical gospels. Does it cover the Gospel of Thomas, for instance, discovered 1949? This one is Nondual teachings of Jesus. Without the Nondual teachings or talking about the Gospels of Thomas, Phillip, Mary Magdalene, etc. the museum is self limiting itself to the conventional understanding. Thoughts?
The middle east is a basic unit of american civilization and the christian voting bloc is worth studying. The space has good installations and the National Cathedral is a resource as well. Dr. Vartan Gregorian and Edward Said both compiled Middle East works from a Christian perspective which can be used directly in bible study. My peer group experienced the Iraq, Kuwait, and Al-Qaeda questions as well and the returning veterans come back with skills which can be used in bible study. Nationally, there are/were several Lebanese political figures such as Chris Sununu (R-NH), George Mitchell (D-ME), Ralph Nader, James Abourezk (D-SD) who were/are Christian. I think John Mack of Morgan Stanley and Carlos Slim Helu are also Lebanese. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) comes from Palestine and also brings direct experiences from the Levant. China and Japan have business interests in the Middle East and so chinese christians can network these businesses into the US. Lastly, New Canaan, Connecticut has many resources for christology as does Rhode Island as there are interests stemming from the UN installation at 42nd street NYC.
The label is "Catholic," not "Roman Catholic." It was first used in a letter by Saint Ignatius, Bishop of Antioch, around 110, on his way to martyrdom. The label Roman Rite is acceptable, but the real name is the Latin Rite. There are 23 other Rites from around the world, mostly eastern and oriental. These include Greek, Maronite, Melkite, Coptic, Arminian etc. That is why the label Catholic, meaning Universal. It distinguishes the Universal Church from breakaway sects.
This museum was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.
So cool to hear that. I heard about the museum but never looked into it as it's not near me...then I decided to look into it and found out I could drive there in 9 hrs. I'm thinking about doing it up.
Thank you for giving us this opportunity to view the museum from afar. Christian or non-Christian, this is extremely helpful to us out of state.
I hope to go there someday
Same here.
I just heard about Bible museum today and I believe it’s not coincidence and that one day I will set my foot in that place.
What an amazing museum. Thank you for sharing your experience Tim.
My pleasure!

I'm trying to learn about the Bible ❤
Hi Lauren. Just a word of encouragement to you…you can do it!! Just open up the Bible, ask God what He wants to say to you, and trust me…He will speak! Praying that you fall in love with the Bible as I did more than 40 years ago! ❤
Lauren! We are so excited for you to grow and spend time in the word of God!
Praise God! It's channels that do Bible studies and groups to learn with.
And…A good study Bible will help so so much. Maybe the ESV Study Bible. There are many good ones. Please be encouraged Laura.

I've never been to the one in TN.
I'm definitely planning on visiting and definitely planning on dumping a ton of money in the gift shop 😊
Have fun!

1611 KJV contained the apocryphal books, which means they were removed from scripture.
Jesus' bible, the septuagint, contained then as well.
Well, the end just answer the questions your about to read below. Ha ha. 👍🙏🏻🥁
3:49 Here you can see Tim's brother, Jim Wildsmith 😆
Ha!
It looks like I could spend a couple days going through everything!!!
It’s so cool.

It wasn’t this actually now that I think about it. It wasnt this large in London.
I don't think this has ever been in London... it opened here back in 2017.

On their website it says 7 floors. Was that the final floor you ended the video in? On the the 7th floor?
Is there a restaurant or food inside the Museum?
Yes they have a place to get food as well as a coffee/pastry kind of place.
I thought there was a NT walk thru...may that was limited time?
My sister just went. She said it would take 9 days at 8 hours a day to see it all.
Cost half a billion dollars, all donations from Christian’s
How does it compare to Hobby Lobby?
Do they sell premium bibles at the store?😉
I hope they have Trump Bibles!
Os there an exhibit on the two old Christians women who were targeted and murder in a Christian church in Gaza at the beginning of the genocide

Which Your Denomination ??

Seems like a lot of the non western Bible history isn’t there. The Ethiopian Bible is much older than KJV, by almost 800 years.
Check out 4:49

Ask Jesus into your life to guide and direct you by the power of the Holy Spirit--He will do so. Read John 3, Ephesians 1, 2, 3--a good start.
The idea of a Bible museum is dope but none of the people looks like the biblical Hebrew Israelites according to what the Bible says they looked like.
Are americans religious? I guess some?
Everyone can be religious
I am an American and Christian
Sadly, i went with great expectations but it was incredibly underwhelming.
Why? Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪!
