Just gotta say (as a fellow Canadian) that your scenery to shoot in Japan is 100x more lush, engaging and trippy than photographing alleys in Calgary... ;)
I was watching twerk videos and ended up watching this video, now I’m about to buy this camera to shoot twerk videos, thanks bro u helped me find myself.
I went to Japan last year, got to visit the Fukuoka Fuji Center to clean my sensor for a modest price and they did my FW upgrade and cleaned all 3 of my lenses for free. Got to play with the 100-400mm and handle the X-Pro2 (X-T2 wasnt even out yet). Fantastic service but more then that FANTASTIC country. Can't wait to go again and you guys must of had so much fun. Great video as always.
I upgraded my camera from Canon 600D to Fuji XT20, i could say that this is the best choice I've ever made, this gear has made my photography hobby much more fun and easier
I've made the switch before to the X-E2 and it made it more fun(but with it's quirks) FW4.0 removed my last doubts on the decission as by then AF tracking started to work. Got the XT-20 which my girlfrein bought. Used it for a couple of days F1 in Barcelona. It simply nailed focus every single time. I was the weakest link again. my trusty 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 was solid too. Made it a powerful tool yet easy to sling arround. Later in Belgium it nailed a peregrine falcon in flight. Yes a bird the size of seagull that can go 200 mph. if it can track that. it can track EVERYTHING.
Have you ever been in Kyoto in August? That's what I call hot and humid! Btw, my wife being from Kyoto, our kids are half Canadian, half Japanese... ;-)
+Jason Jung Thanks so much! Shooting Tokyo at night in B&W was some of the most fun I've ever had shooting. Hope to do more like this soon. Jordan @ TCSTV
Oh well I'm just an exacly oposite. White balance or colors looked somewhat weird to me.. Not realistic I would say. I bet Panasonic produces more realistic colors even though less punchy.
I think you're both right! Having an XT2 now, its video output is really nice in terms of resolution. Coming from Sony you get to note the way most manufacturers alter colours. I used to say Sony cameras show very similar to what you see, their output can be very close to real, but then people miss the warmer or punchier tones that are often more pleasant to look, like recent Olympus jpg. Canon probably still gets you the best compromise between colour presence and accuracy.
I heard that Godox is going to release a X1 transmitter for Fuji, which is going to enable Fuji shooters to an entire arsenal of Godox speedlights and monolights.
You can set the d-pad to move the focus point instead of using the default shortcuts. A bit less comfortable than a joystick, but still similar in use :)
Great video guys ! I own a Fuji XT2 and this little XT20 might become my future B cam or light travel cam... 23mm & 35 mm f2 + the fantastic 18-55mm kit lens... mmmhh ! Great job Fujifilm, they are really on fire lately !
Something special about the image of the Fuji, I think its a combination of the color science and the mythical "micro contrast" but you can really tell on this video its more lifelike. I have a canon but I'm liking what im seeing with the Fuji
I have a X-T10 and I'm still impress, how it levels my images up. Mostly I shoot B&W, it looks amazing. This camera gives really a classic look and feel, even in your photos.
The transition to 04:59 was really fun, haha. Thanks for the review! I appreciate it so much how you keep relaxed and chill in your video. Nothing is over-done.
I notice you. And hopefully some game designer will make an Anime style dating game based on youtube photography hosts all vying for the love of the protagonist. It would be awesome!!!! Chris @ TCSTV
I was thinking of upgrading from my XE-1 to the XT-2,I bought a S/H XT-1 for peanuts instead. Apart from saving a shit load of cash it`s a great performer,I don't shoot video much so I didn't see the need to buy the XT-2. Enjoyable video team, thanks.
Picked up one of these on launch days to use as a second body for weddings, with my X-Pro2, and also for use when travelling as I had a bunch planned for 2017. Needless to say, the X-Pro2 has only been used for paid work since I got the X-T20 and it's really shown its worth on trips when size is an important consideration. It's a great camera, easy to use, still much smaller than a DSLR rival and the IQ is great. If I didn't need a 2nd body, or weather sealing, I'd probably have already sold the X-Pro2.
I just bought the X-T20 for my recent trip to the Canadian Rockies. I am happy with it except for position of the d-pad buttons. The lower part of my thumb (palm) presses the right and top buttons accidentally so I had to disable both shortcut keys. Maybe it's my way of gripping the camera? I will see if I can adjust my grip else I will let it go... Maybe I am better off with the upcoming X-E3?
I bought my X-T20 based off messaging Jordan and I LOVE it! Thank you soooo much. I totally agree with Chris on the delay between the back screen and eye piece. I've now set mine to be 100% eye view as when shooting in a bright light situation (middle of the day) you can barely see the image on the back screen.
OK, you convinced me. I'm going in on this. I was split between this and an A6300. Can't quite stretch to an X-T30 or A6500. The Canadian prices are a little prohibitive. I'm going to use it primarily for photos, but video is nice to have. I do wish it had that flip screen of the X-T100 though. Oh well.
I just purchased the X-T20 today along with the 35mm f1.4 and 16mm f1.4 lenses. Can't wait to start shooting with it. But a word of advice: Fuji's lens caps totally suck, very loose, and I suggest you purchase the Sensei screw on metal lens caps. They're very secure and dust won't seep in.
I see that both the Panasonic GX9 and the Fujifilm X-T20 have no low pass filter, with similar features and prices. After having both in hands, which one of them would you say it's the best choice in quality for photos?
Hey guys, I know its a bit outside your normal content, but I think it would be pretty cool if you did a comparison between a couple ultra-affordable (say
Ok, totally off the subject question. Did you see any X-E3 prototypes while you were there? I love the rangefinder body but not sure I'm up for the limitations and expense of the X-Pro-2. I didn't warm to the X-T2 because I couldn't use the EVF without leaving a significant nose print on the LCD and the X-T20 is too compact and cramped for my shooting style. Oh and BTW, don't smoke the Japanese cigs. Super strong.
At 3:11 you can see the notorious purple flare. Not sure that's shot by X-T2 or T20, but it's definitely a big flaw of the new 24M sensor. I think your review should at least mention the issue and talk a bit about how x-t20 performs in this respect (better, worse, or same as it's big brother x-t2?)
Interesting point about the 16mp xtrans sensor in the xt1/10. Will someone touch on that a bit more? What does the 16mp sensor offer that the newer sensor doesn't? What is the "magic", as mentioned?
at 11:20, you mention to look at the Panasonic or Sony competitors at this price range. I'm curious (just being new to the camera game), what would those cameras be? I'm definitely looking for a camera that's going to be used more for video than photos (but I plan to do both)
This is like my 5th time watching this. I’m pretty sure I have decided to get the X-T20! Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Would y’all be interested in doing a follow up review?
Would that be a nice upgrade to my Olympus E-M10? Still kinda unsure if I should stay with Micro Four Thirds or expand to Fujifilm system. The X-T20 would be a nice starting point. But is it enough of an upgrade from my E-M10? I‘m not gonna replace it, wanna keep the MFT system. Or would you recommend staying completely with MFT and getting something like the PEN-F or E-M5 later? Other question is related to video. I mainly shoot photos but when i shoot videos, now O use my iPhone because video on my E-M10 kinda sucks. How much better is the video out of the X-T20? And how is it with no in body image stabilization?
As far as x-t2 video, I must say I'm loving your x-t2 footage better then some of your other video footage. I am very tempted to switch to Fuji system. Although for stills IQ I am still torn between Pentax and Fuji, to me Pentax colors and contrast look a little more natural. What do you think?
how do you compare Fuji X-T20 with Canon M50 ? I will use it mostly for video of moving objects (usually low light). What about the lens line up of Canon? There is an adoptor, right?
Really appreciate the review, and especially enjoyed the in factory footage and night shots. I've never owned, nor currently own, an ILC (my only camera is and old Panasonic DMC-LX2), but I am looking to get into photography and now finally have the means to do so. Would you consider this a solid camera/system to start out with and grow into? I tend to travel a lot for work (have had a couple Seoul and Tokyo layovers in the past year) so the size and seeming durability is appealing, but I do wonder if this is a good platform from which to start out? Also, I understand the XF kit lens is the superior option of the two, but how does the XC kit lens stack up? (I ask because the XF kit is relatively hard to come by at the moment)
Hi, Chris While I was in Narita visiting my wife's family, I visited FujiFilm Square in Roppongi on June 26, 2017. Great staff there and customer service is truly excellent! I shoot Olympus OMD-EM1 but considering Fuji now. I will try to come up to Calgary to visit your store soon. Great Video! Keep up the good work. Oh, and my Japanese is just as bad :) Sayonara
I'm really torn on whether it's worth it for me to get the x-t2 over the x-t20. I am buying the 50-140 f2.8, and I really enjoy shooting sports, but is the better ergonomics, weather sealing and customizable C-AF really worth the quite substantial price increase?
Hi, I'm planning on buying my first ever camera (which is a mirrorless cam). Photography is more of a hobby for me as of the moment. Which one do you recommend? Fujifilm XT20 or Sony A6000?
do you think in terms of still photos this outperforms the canon m5? sharpness?colors? You mentioned the noise is about the same right? Im thinking of an m5 with an adaptor for the other canon lenses, or maybe just getting an 80d and avoid the adaptor all together . So how would you compare image quality? Video isn't a huge deal breaker for me, 4k is nice but at the end of the day I want a camera with sharp images and nice colors. Does this have an anti aliasing feature? Cuz if not I'm assuming it will be much sharper than the canon. thanks so much I'm having a tough time figuring this out and don't want to spend hundred on renting these cameras and lenses
Hi Chris, what do/did you use to process XT20 images? I certainly struggled when I tried that on rent. Ended up getting an XA3 instead - low spec but has standard sensor, touch screen etc.
great video, thanks for sticking with the fuji system to shoot it. heres something interesting i found when using both xt2 and the xt20. while the video quality was slightly better on the xt2 it had quite bad jello effect with any type of movement, which i found very distracting,( im not sure if you had the update 2.0 when you guys where shooting ) and the xt20 was better with movement and slightly sharper although a drop in dynamic range . i also found the touch screen was too fast and not that accurate, i definitley prefered the joystick on the xt2, but at almost half the price it really is a great buy all round, and alot of fun to use.
On a whim, I mounted my Nikon SB700 speedlight on the X-T20 and, shooting in manual, the camera would fire the flash on a manual shutter actuation but not on a timed shutter actuation. Has anyone tried Canon speedlights with the X-T20?
I see you found the Malin's `Brit` Fish and Chips shop opposite the Fujifilm Square place :-) A favourite of mine after visiting the gallery. Looking forward to the GFX video.
I'm very happy with my X-T20. It's still's performance is great but I bought it to have a small 4k vlogging camera. As pointed out in the video the film simulators really can cut down on post production work and were the deciding factor for me over Sony and MFT. Lenses? 10-24mm OIS, 18-55mm OIS, and 55-200mm OIS should just about cover any video shooters needs.
Great video! When were you in Japan? I'm from Calgary and just got back from a 20-day trip there myself and I had a lot of fun shooting with my X-Pro2. Fujifilm Square was one of my favourite places to see!
I live about 30 minutes from Harajuku!! I often go there to shoot. Great place especially with Meiji shrine, Yoyogi park and Takeshita street. And yes, Fuji Square is great with lots of history and usually a good photo exhibit on as well. Anyway, great video as always! BTW I'm an X-T2 shooter too!
Japan is just so aesthetic. I mean, you can't fail taking a good photo of the streets.
Congratulations for your Fuji retailer of the year award. This is a high honor indeed!
Just gotta say (as a fellow Canadian) that your scenery to shoot in Japan is 100x more lush, engaging and trippy than photographing alleys in Calgary... ;)
You guys have, by far, the best reviews on the internet. Very well done and kudos to the X-T20 for its great image quality.
I was watching twerk videos and ended up watching this video, now I’m about to buy this camera to shoot twerk videos, thanks bro u helped me find myself.

Tokyo seems like a perfect place to do gear reviews
It is! We hope to be back soon. I want to do all our video on the streets of Tokyo at night. In B&W.

TheCameraStoreTV So does HongKong
hong kong ? lol
John Doe DigitalRev TV and Kai/Lok... :)
unfortunately Kai and Lok left DigitalRev, but luckily, Kai has his own channel, and Lok joins in sometimes.

Kudos Jordan. Beautifully shot! Your cinematography talent was showcased in this video. 👍🏼
The Sendai backcountry is even more gorgeous in the fall with all the colourful trees!
Cheers from QC, Canada
I was thinking the same thing! The trees must be amazing and on top of that, it must be cooler weather too!
Chris @ TCSTV
Have you ever been in Kyoto in August? That's what I call hot and humid!
Btw, my wife being from Kyoto, our kids are half Canadian, half Japanese... ;-)
Jordan: This black and white work is some of the best photography I've seen on a TH-cam dedicated show. Awesome stuff.
+Jason Jung Thanks so much! Shooting Tokyo at night in B&W was some of the most fun I've ever had shooting. Hope to do more like this soon.
Jordan @ TCSTV
I really liked the look of this video. I think Fuji is making good video now.
Oh well I'm just an exacly oposite.
White balance or colors looked somewhat weird to me..
Not realistic I would say. I bet Panasonic produces more realistic colors even though less punchy.
Daniel Guryca yah no
They were shooting video in provia which is purposefully punchy.
Gert: Absolutely, it looks incredible. The night B/W takes were on a whole other level!
I think you're both right! Having an XT2 now, its video output is really nice in terms of resolution. Coming from Sony you get to note the way most manufacturers alter colours. Fujifilm Square is amazing! I'm happy you both got the chance to make that trip. I hope you enjoyed the Land of the Rising Sun.
Good to see Chris visiting his ancestral home and re-learning japanese again.

Great job Fujifilm, they are really on fire lately !
wow thats what it looks like inside a camera factory, very cool! The music on this is really good as well!
Wally Raza .. not a cool place to work though.
Something special about the image of the Fuji, I think its a combination of the color science and the mythical "micro contrast" but you can really tell on this video its more lifelike. I have a canon but I'm liking what im seeing with the Fuji
I really love the clean room pics!
I have a X-T10 and I'm still impress, how it levels my images up. Mostly I shoot B&W, it looks amazing. This camera gives really a classic look and feel, even in your photos.
Good review ! Japan is an awesome place to do some gear reviews. Nicely filmed as well, Jordan seemed inspired by the environment
Great review and loved that smooth as silk editing you were able to achieve around the 13:00-minute stage of the review..
Totally agree. Wonderfull camera with a great 23mm f2 lens combined. And even the 16-50mm kit-lens does a good job for traveling and candid purposes.
The transition to 04:59 was really fun, haha. Thanks for the review! I appreciate it so much how you keep relaxed and chill in your video. Nothing is over-done.
The video gets immediate thumbs up for being TheCameraStoreTV in Tokyo! 👍
That Acros looks great for video. Not sure I'd want to use it much for stills.
the fuji color is just so beautiful
Great video as usual. Will look forward to the next exciting review from Tokyo!🇯🇵
Nice work guys - loved the factory and street shots/video.
Again yet another great review from you. I love your videos and your great inputs.
Notice me Chris Senpai
I notice you. And hopefully some game designer will make an Anime style dating game based on youtube photography hosts all vying for the love of the protagonist. It would be awesome!!!!

you mean "it would be SUGOI!"
Mild gargle hahahaha
Senpai noticed me
Kanpai??? Kanpai!!!
Beautifully shot. Wonderful information. You guys are great. Keep up the great work.
This camera is so good. Had it for two months now.
Alex Higgins looking at getting one this month. Can't wait
Amazing Video about the Kamera I'm interested the most in right now. You guys are always doing such a nice job.
I was thinking of upgrading from my XE-1 to the XT-2,I bought a S/H XT-1 for peanuts instead. Apart from saving a shit load of cash it`s a great performer,I don't shoot video much so I didn't see the need to buy the XT-2.
Enjoyable video team,thanks.
Phil G yep, I did a similar thing, upgrading from an X-M1 ;)
Phil G I bought the xt-2 for stills, and I'm surprised how the video has encouraged me to shoot much more video.
Awesome work as always guys!
Hello from a fellow Canadian living in Paris France... Love your channel!
This video has so much eye candy in it. Good image quality.
Oh well.
I have the same kind of dilemma, but you can use the wifi app in some cases.
They're very secure and dust won't seep in.
how you liking it?
Great review at alway @Chris + @Jordan! Look like a fun trip to Fuji factory :D!
I see that both the Panasonic GX9 and the Fujifilm X-T20 have no low pass filter, with similar features and prices. After having both in hands, which one of them would you say it's the best choice in quality for photos?
Thanks for your review? Which one would you choose for an general purpose camera? The XT-20 or PEN-F? Thanks and please, keep posting!
Hey guys, I know its a bit outside your normal content, but I think it would be pretty cool if you did a comparison between a couple ultra-affordable (say
Nissin has a great TTL wireless flash system now. Also recently this month a firmware for HSS as well.
If only any camera store actually had one in stock. Been waiting for one for months now.
Thanks for another great vid. Compared to the XT10, how many shots will it do on continuous high? Also how is the buffer once it stops shooting?
At 3:11 you can see the notorious purple flare. Not sure that's shot by X-T2 or T20, but it's definitely a big flaw of the new 24M sensor. I think your review should at least mention the issue and talk a bit about how x-t20 performs in this respect (better, worse, or same as it's big brother x-t2?)
Good catch. It's indeed there.
It’s also at 6:16
Interesting point about the 16mp xtrans sensor in the xt1/10. Will someone touch on that a bit more? What does the 16mp sensor offer that the newer sensor doesn't? What is the "magic", as mentioned?
What camera did you use for the shot at 14:30?
at 11:20, you mention to look at the Panasonic or Sony competitors at this price range. I'm curious (just being new to the camera game), what would those cameras be? I'm definitely looking for a camera that's going to be used more for video than photos (but I plan to do both)
Oh man I just got the xt20 and upgraded to the 16-55 2.8, makes the kit look ridiculous. Lovin it!
@TheCameraStoreTV, was this video made taken with the X-T20 as well? EDIT: He mentions it was shot with X-T2.
Wow ... amazing quality video and review ... you guys from the TCS_TV are true professionals ... you guys rock
X-T2 video looks amazing
The thing Chris is leaning on at 1:06 that suddenly recedes, lol. Nice job playing it off.
This is like my 5th time watching this. I’m pretty sure I have decided to get the X-T20! Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Would y’all be interested in doing a follow up review?
えー!嬉しいです。いつも見てます。
We appreciate that you enjoy our show! Thank you!

Wow I can't read a word, character .
21st century dude, google translate.
Other question is related to video. I mainly shoot photos but when i shoot videos, now O use my iPhone because video on my E-M10 kinda sucks. How much better is the video out of the X-T20? And how is it with no in body image stabilization?
BTW what have you decided: I´m on the fence too, I dont know if I should get the OMD 10 mrk iii or XT20?
The G85 is also a competitor especially for hybrid.
Is RAW on Fuji is well handled in lightroom?
Great review! Where you able to see the whole process of Fujifilm? Do they build those entirely with their hands?
Why dont you guys try out the new tamron 18-400 superzoom with the new sl2 canon? I've heard the lens is good with sharpness throughout. Thanx.
Can i use a PC as a monitor for this camera like on the Canon EOS Series?
OMG love this video ive been to Japan twice and getting ready for my third next year.. So cool to see you guys enjoying Japan :)
The XT-20 delay of the lcd/evf is pretty similar to what I'm getting with my X-T2 in boost mode.
I miss Japan
As far as x-t2 video, I must say I'm loving your x-t2 footage better then some of your other video footage. I am very tempted to switch to Fuji system. Although for stills IQ I am still torn between Pentax and Fuji, to me Pentax colors and contrast look a little more natural. What do you think?

VTW0512 Yup.
Hi, I'm planning on buying my first ever camera (which is a mirrorless cam). Photography is more of a hobby for me as of the moment. Which one do you recommend? Fujifilm XT20 or Sony A6000?
looks nice,is it capable for high fashion photography?..does it have hss?
Really useful and sympathetic review
Wonder whether we should pick Sony Alpha 7sii over XT2 since XT2 is affordable and has outstanding color science. :D
Great video guys, incredible production!

Nice video! Slightly off topic but what do you think of that Tarion wrist strap. I might pick one up.
Hello! Great video and Japan is always a plus as a photo tryp/review. Can you please tell what bag you were wearing?! Really stood out for me. Thx
This video quality is making me want to buy an XT2. So sharp, colours are amazing. Somebody talk me out of it...
Chris's voice sounds a bit different in this episode. Did you use a different mic setup or editing process?
just Bought this today ! very excited !!!!
Great video! When were you in Japan? I'm from Calgary and just got back from a 20-day trip there myself and I had a lot of fun shooting with my X-Pro2. Fujifilm Square was one of my favourite places to see!
Darnit! You guys were in Sendai!? Wish I could have shown you both around town...
