I think that shot of Luka running out the tunnel is a mycareer intro. I feel Like maybe they just inserted Luka but really that’s going to end up being your my player
The number 1 thing that drove me crazy about current-gen 2k's was the lack of detail in the spectators and the fact that it always felt like you were playing games in the middle of blackouts. This game with it's vastly improved audiences and lighting makes it look way more realistic, not to mention much more colorful. I'm also hyped for the super detailed pre-game and post-game courts. With the red suit security guards lining the perimeter of the court just like they do at real games, the media crews, the dancers, and of course the mascots! I've also noticed that there's now an accurate amount of assistant coaches. Before, it was always just the team's head coach and 1 assistant coach. Granted, all of these things are just small details, and they don't matter when it comes to gameplay. But unlike most people, I care about the details, and I want the game to be as immersive and realistic as possible. That's what makes me so hyped for this game!

This is due to the lack of proper lighting in the arenas. You said it perfectly, “it always felt like you were playing games in the middle of blackouts”. It took away from the experience of the game. I want to feel immersed into the game. The new lighting, makes everything more colorful and pleasing to look at.
As a person who mostly mains MyLeague this looks promising and since I’m not playing my team on ps4 I might go for the Series X over ps5 because they won’t release next gen graphics on pc

if they wanted to add in more realism at 1:10 the dallas maverick does a nice move and Klay Thompson barely flinches. You could have the players react more to moves like that
If y’all saw that shot of klay hitting a 3, during the inbound after he made the stop the players fluidly moved afterwards (picking up ball for inbound, run back on d) rather than a small pause like in other 2ks
the shot of steph with the mouthpiece is insane. if I would’ve seen that image without any context, I probably wouldn’t have second guessed it as anything other than a photo
The other thing to worried about is the frame-rate. You can tell how choppy and low during the entrance and eagle eye view in the trailer. Some definitely were around 60fps while those specific stops felt like they were around 25-30 fps.
One thing I noticed. Is that the ball always hit the rim in some form or fashion. It was never a swish. And I think it’s because of the net animations. Make them more stiff and you have yourself a game on ESPN.
I think there is a big difference from that screenshot of last gen I didn't notice how much better it actually looks the lighting looks really great the only issue seem to be the same robotic movement by the players that still looks last gen. As for console I will be buying it on the XSX mainly because of the 1TB storage and it's a bit more powerful then the ps5 with 12 teraflops and a better CPU game will run at true native 4K at 60 FPS d and a lot of games can be upscaled to 120 FPS
Dont like when hardaway dunks on a warriors player 1:16 and the crowd kinda late reacting to it .. no improvement at all when it comes to crowd reactions still the same
If they wanted to make the crowd way more better they can do that it’s just takes time to make everyone last person and the crowd to have realistic movements that would hold them back on 2k series that’s the least they should really worry about
Absolutely no way the gameplay scratches that level of motion in that scene. They may use those shots in camera replay. That’s definitely a real life clip from a game with cgi.

The jump from PS4 to PS5 is not like the jump we saw from PS3 to PS4. Yeah, it is an improvement, but it didn’t have the same WOW factor as 2k14. Perhaps we have reached a level of graphics where improvements won’t be as drastic. Again, it is an improvement, but it doesn’t give me the same feeling as the previous next gen launch
I think they did a poor job on the Spalding ball due to the official ball of the NBA changing to Wilson. Perhaps they didn’t put too much attention into this Spalding ball since it won’t be the official ball of the game. Maybe they’re just showing spalding for now due to contract issues + the NBA still playing the 2019-2020 season. I’m sure the NBA Wilson ball model will complement the entirety of these great graphics.
The Player movement seems kind of stiff. This year will be more about graphics and lighting. Going forward they really need to make the game more responsive and smooth.
Here's to hoping they actually decide to keep these graphics this time....still can't believe they actually aren't putting the next gen version on the pc

They didn't bring the next version to pc just because they were lazy is the only reason I could see why. Could they maybe have been paid to do this? Yeah, but that is extremely unlikely at least from Microsoft since they own Windows, and Sony hasn't done any sort of thing with Call of Duty so I doubt its them either.

This jump is bigger than it was for 2k14 IMO. Everything about this screams realism. Even though 2k14 was amazing, this is absolutely incredible.
