As someone from the UK who's recently (this season would be my first full season following the sport) gotten into Baseball - and by extension OOTP your channel is hugely helpful and entertaining! many thanks
I probably spend more time on the first day of the offseason, than any other day. Sometimes, I spend a lot of time on the First Year Player's Draft. Winter Meetings, and Trade Deadline. However, I don't spend a lot of time on the IAFA Draft, unless things go sideways. I've also found that you can avoid arbitration by offering the player 95% of his Arbitration Figure - found on the Contract portion of the Player's Page. I just take their Arb Figure, multiply it by .95, and round up to the next 10K.
Now playing OOTP25. I have a question. On the finances page, it shows maximum contract length. My is currently locked at 15 years. How can I change that? I am playing historical and starting in 1967. During that year, Nolan Ryan, for an example, is a rookie. My strategy is to lock him up long term BEFORE free agency hits in 1976 to a 20 year contract starting at his current salary and incrementally increasing him until he hits $1,000,000 per season then plateauing him. Great contract in 1986 and beyond. But I am limited to 15 years, meaning I either pay Ryan a ton or lose him.
hi, first of all, good video! however, i think i tinkered with the historical league setting one day while playing this game and importantly, while the season is underway, so now i have no info at all about financials, even when i sign players, the option is only "sign player", when i try to trade players, no financial info from my team and the other side, then now there is no financial tab in the front office page and i cannot see my team expenses etc. i wonder what can i do to fix this? cus it's so weird since i didn't know what caused this. thanks you!

hmm, not sure on this. The OOTP forums would be a good place to ask this.
I noticed there’s a TON of trades. Do you lower the trade frequency at all?
I did last year, but trading frequency seems way more normal to me this year. What are you seeing?
