- Microsoft has finally finished their attempt to buy Activision Blizzard and they now own Activision Blizzard King after the UK officially approves the purchases. Activision Blizzard will be the newest addition to Xbox Game Studios working on Exclusive Games for the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S, as well as Xbox Game Pass. After an almost 2 year battle with regulators in the US (FTC) and UK (CMA), Microsoft officially has a clear path forward to complete the purchase for $69 Billion. This means Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, etc... are now part of Xbox's first party lineup. Activision Blizzard marks the 2nd major publisher Microsoft has purchased in the past few years following their acquisition of Bethesda which recently released the xbox exclusive Starfield. As a result of this news PS5 Fanboys are ANGRY and in full damage control as you would expect from PlayStation fanboys. Of course Dreamcastguy is already changing the narrative claiming he was never worried about the deal being a monopoly or consolidating the industry but is instead concerned about Microsoft laying off developers lmao. Leave it to PS5 fanboys to shift the goal post once again after claiming for months the deal would never go through.

The amount of games they have doesn’t automatically make them a Monopoly. For them to have a Monopoly, they would have to control everything in the gaming market that includes prices of games.

Microsoft can’t dictate game prices nor can they dictate who gets to compete in the market. That’s literally what the term Monopoly means.
@@marcusclark1339 Another thing to add. Market share is important here. Not how many video game IPs they have. It’s literally the first thing lawmakers and regulators look into when they go to investigate companies. Which is why the UK CMA was hooting and hollering about the cloud part.

As a PlayStation fan, I’m very happy to see that Microsoft has completed their deal and o”I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with these companies. But people like DreamCastGuy are very salty about it this and it’s absolutely pathetic to have a meltdown over this.

Spider man is actually really dark at times, the only reason we dont see it in media is because they want to cater to the "younger" audience. If we really got a true venom or carnage movie with spider man, you would see a lot more gore, violence, and horror.

Well I dont know if I can call myself a sony pony since I own xbox too but I heavily prefer PS like 90% of the time and there is good in this. PS players will populate Battlefield propably if they wont get access to cod, which is just better multiplayer game since cod multiplayer is dogshit with the shit going around their SBMM and I will be able to play cods lackluster 4 hour short dogshit campaign on gamepass without buying the game. So win win for me.

This is honestly quite exciting now especially with how new 343 has rebuilt Halo Infinite and is now heavily promoting it with the HCS event going on now, plus some leaks about the Halo BR. Going to be interesting to see how COD and Halo mix together under one publisher.

I'm not the biggest fan of CoD, but now that they are coming to Game Pass, I'll absolutely give them a go.
Game Pass is the perfect place for them. Haven't played one in a decade, because they don't go down in price enough and they're not full price material for me. But they're still good fun for a few hours, when you already have Game Pass. Definitely gonna play the ones I skipped over the years.

Microsoft buying them was the best scenario. They will keep pumping games cross platform especially something as big as Call of Duty. Hopefully they will clean house and get rid of the horrible leadership and hostile work environment.
I'm primarily a pc gamer, and this news has me stoked. Microsoft bringing first party games to pc, and on steam, day one is an amazing move. Take notes Sony.

EA actually need to consolidate their sports game into live services. So it is cheaper and easier to maintain them rather making new games. So that way players doesn't need to hoard a collection of each yearly sequels. But, I think that people had overblown the situation than it should've been.
Why would EA do that though. That's wasted revenue and it's been proven now that live service isn't working anymore.

I just checked and VGcharts has estimated Series sales at 20.5M units around 27 months. The 360 was at 16M units at 27 months. It took the 360 roughly 37 months to hit the same number.
360 old sold Xbox One at every milestone.

One thing I really hope is that they create a Warcraft game that has WoW's storylines from its expansions but focused on single player. That way, there's an option whether one wants to play the story alone or with friends. I also hope they bring back the old Transformers War for Cybertron games. Imagine those things being remastered and heading to game pass. I miss those games

After all the talk Phil Spencer has done about people can play games on whatever platform they choose I don’t see Microsoft shutting down their console platform. This give me more hope for the revitalization of Prototype and Starcraft, especially for the latter; the potential with Starcraft is even bigger when you think about it, You can spin the franchise into places like a Battlefield-esque FPS, Stealth Based Games, Looter Shooters, and so on.
But for now, I'm just happy they realized that the franchise exists in that video.

People hating on Starfield i just dont understand. Is it repetitive and monotonous at times? Yes it is. The story is actually really good, and i like teh exploration. I have a feeling when mod support actually releases you are going to see some really incredible things. The game isnt a masterpiece, but its not just a large pule of dung also
