While it may not have grabbed a large audience an interesting thing i noticed is how much attention it got through TH-cam shorts and Instagram. Like there were so many clips that I say that easily surpassed millions of views. None of them were action scenes but the comedy ones. So a part of me is glad that people are enjoying that part of yozakura instead of just the hype ones.
unexpected enjoyable anime. very glad i was going in blind and didnt had anything messing with my expectations/impression, only thing i knew it was from wsj and its a mix of romance and a battle shounen. which is interesting and havent really seen many of those, other focuses on one thing then undercuts da other aspect. tho i think dis series is a manga angle, the anime was lacking in some parts. tho it made me really motivated to read. i’ll most likely start da manga from da beginning to see what I missed or how da anime adapted it. s2 got announced recently, so imma prolly check s2 out too (idk release date, hopefully after i started da manga) yozakura animated by studio silver link i was very skeptical abt it and i didnt think they would do source material services. from the shit ive seen of the production i could see da staff cared abt da manga and it was a healthy production. but they actually made it a average/standard adaptation and from what i could tell it was pretty faithful to manga, (few stuff that would alleviate anime for me are animation, sound/music, pacing, lack of anime original moments or add ons). im def grateful form da other anime original scenes we got.
Great video! Overall, I really liked the anime and thought it was a nice companion to the manga. My critiques are more on the cut chapters, mostly that I do think they should’ve kept Sōsuke and the aquarium but seems like he will be included in S2 Also, based on the S2 PV, looks like they will adapt up to Kyoichiro’s disappearance, so the Slice of Life and Action will be more balanced and more relevant to the main plot, so hopefully they won’t skip much of the slice of life Overall I give the anime an 8/10 and definitely recommend to people.
The S2 PV has multiple shots past Kyoichiro's Disappearance in the final line is from the Sibling Retrieval arc, so they definitely plan to cover the entire Momo conflict.
I think it's around a 7.5 the adaptation doesn't do anything crazy most of the time but it doesn't offend me either there were some cool moments and nice animation here and there but it was definitely struggling in the visual department and some of the cut content did affect my enjoyment. The later content of the manga is way more plot and action heavy so they definitely need to step up their game to adapt them. Also hot take but I think they handled Futaba's Blooming the best. It was different visually but i felt a more stable direction from it compared to the rest
Stay tuned for more information about the stream for Jump Festa in December ❄️
