Hey Joe, good video. I bought the repaid strike, made a few changes and went 4-0 at Athena to win the night. 1 more Urshifu V (borrowed), 1 Crobat (had), 1 Passimian (of course - also borrowed) and 1 Telescopic sight (gifted). Oh and I also changed the basic energy for secret rare fighting :) - i dropped 2 Falix a stone energy and the Cheryl - Raihan also looks cool though!
Thanks for the video man! I bought these products to get my friends into the game since they don't know where to start for making a deck and with this I can make sure to give them cards that will only make their deck stronger!
IMO I wish the beginner upgrade for the Singe Strike list was more budget friendly; I don’t think a beginner is ready to drop 60 or so dollars on the Umbreon cards. I wish the Pokémon company would’ve added at least a 1:1 Umbreon line to at least make the cards more affordable. Maybe make a comment with a more affordable upgrade maybe? Thanks; love your videos!
As others have stated this is just how to turn the pre-made decks into the current best lists. While that may be optimal, I’m not sure if it’s “beginner” friendly. Number one the cost of the inteleon, umbreons etc But even within that I’m not sure the inteleon engine is even the best choice for beginners. Ones a skill intensive “pick one trainer” and another’s a much more mindless make do, ie trash your worst card and hope for the best. I would have appreciated having some easier/cheaper options shown based on the title at least. For example, RS- remove the falinks, add Passimian and pad out the RS Urshi and Cincinno lines. (Fairly easy/cheap, and you end up with close to lists that performed very well this summer)
Only way I could see bolstering the Cincinno line over going with the Inteleon line is by keeping in the switches. As any RS Malamar player will tell you, having a Min or Cin in the active is a death sentence. Cost wise the Inteleon engine isn't all that much.
Hey Joe, I just did a video on upgrading the Rapid Strike League Battle Deck and at the time, I chose to omit the Inteleon Engine because it's getting surprisingly expensive these days. It did get me wondering about whether there's still any merit in the Cinccino engine. For example, I think it's arguably just as good if you're building an Urshifu-Moltres list because it gives you the hard discard while still netting you advantage, whereas you're more reliant on Quick Ball and Professor's Research to get the job done in an Inteleon-oriented build. What do you think? Any reason to play the furry little devils? Or is the Inteleon package superior in every instance?
No way is a beginner going to invest in Umbreon. When I first started I didn't start buying money cards until about a year and a half in. Going down a Boss is a mistake as well.
Hey there, very new to pokemon tcg. Quick question: in this video you say umbreon is a good backup attacker. How can umbreon attack without dark energy?
It is literally cheaper to just get the cards you need through Troll and Toad. I can understand how they’re easy just off the shelf for more casual players who don’t want to go through the effort of buying singles, but for those that want to be competitive this is not the most cost effective way
It actually is more cost-effective to go this route because reprinting these cards, lowers the cost of singles in the long run. The price of Jirachi tanked after its second reprint. These decks are loaded with staples and combined with the code for PTCGO, League Battle Decks might be the best product in any TCG right now.
Umbreon is my 3rd favorite Pokemon. I'd love to build single strike with it but it's pricey. Any more budget upgrades to the single strike deck? Duraladon maybe?
I guess it is a bit of a plunge, although it is a great gateway product to one of the best decks available! I’m going to do a couple follow up videos of budget builds

It’s a great point, I’m going to make some stop gap lists on the channel that offer some alternatives
oh this is perfect im planning on getting my hands on a rapid strike deck
excellent video, thanks
With these upgrades do you think these decks have a pretty even match up against each other?
Yes, also without upgrades

Thanks for the feedback: going to make some stop gap lists on the channel this week!

the single strike energy provides both dark and fighting energy :)
@@OmniPoke thank you!

I've found changing stonejourner for sandaconda v and vmax is a good beginning change if you don't have much else:)

Duraladon maybe?

Hi
Hi
For beginners.. Umbreon Vmax which is near impossible to get especially at a reasonable price. stopped watching there.
I guess it is a bit of a plunge, although it is a great gateway product to one of the best decks available!
I’m going to do a couple follow up videos of budget builds
