Great review. Something else worth noting when comparing to a 265 is that the 265 doesn’t support Golf features. I wasn’t aware of this when I bought my 265 as im a golf player aswell as runner and weightlifter im tempted to make the sideways switch to the Venu
Venue 3 and vivoactive 5 does not show active calories during a workout on any data screen. Tried the connectiq data screens as well. The forerunner 265 and 965 has this option. Even the Apple Watch 7 had this option
Which do u recommend in order to build muscle efficient with calesthenic and gym and running 1/2 times a week ? Do you would recommwnd the venu3 or the forerunner265 ?( i have iphone ) Thanks in advance
Probably not . The closest is the venue, and at this point I don't think they'll do that. They aren't competing with google Samsung or Apple in that market
Garmin's pricing is insane to me. $450 for plastic watch. Add some super niche function like "surf tracking" +$200 want music capability? +$50. Oh you want to buy this $800 Epix? Well you're going to have to pay +$100 more for sapphire glass because including it for $800 is too generous. Also you'll recharge via pogo pins in 2023. Profit margins must be yuge
Had cheap watches before from amazfit and Huawei but they all didn't click for me. I started with a Garmin Venu 2, it's the first watch that made me change my lifestyle. Lost 15KG and my Spo2 went from a low 36 to a normal 45. Now I have a 965 which currently helps me to run a 5K under 22 min. GARMIN is more than other brands health, sports and lifestyle focussed. If that's important to you. A watch can help.
I guess the sports software is costing to make but I do agree. Now they have an epix 2 pro with giant bezel and 1.3 inch display in 2023 for more then 1000 euro in NL. Also I don’t like the fragmentation. The forerunner 965 is 1,4 inch amoled but with 4th gen hr sensor. So they both don’t match all my wishes but I don’t want to spend 600+ feeling I miss out.
I have a sort of a unique question, if anyone can clarify - So, I have a smartwatch like Venu 3 for example - I pair it to my personal phone (Android) and install their app, and just use the watch normal, let it track whatever. But while at work, I'd like to connect it to my work phone (iOS) to take calls or see notifications. When it's connected to my work phone, will the health tracking start all over again or will it continue as it is?
Coros pace 3 is unmatched for it's price. I have it and I am extremely happy with it. The only drawback is that looks pretty cheap. I was considering to get one for my girlfriend also, but she doesn't like the design so we ended up getting the Venu 3. ( In bulgaria it twice the price of the Pace 3, it doesn't have dual band GPS and the battery is not as strong as the one on pace 3).
@@radoslavstoev4550I have the pace 3 and my wife wants the Venu 3, since you have them both nearby does the pace 3 still feels like a clear winner for its price? Venu looks prettier but pace I feel is much better for its phone app too.
In my opinion garmin with v3 should go on direction like Huawei gt4 . Stylish, daily watch with sport features but 500$ for plastic watch with great features what you cant find in other brands is still to much . 325 is the max .
I can't believe what is going on with prices of these watches. It's like: ' Yes, it's $800, but you can monitor how much water you drink and the watch can tell if you had a good night sleep..' I f***ing know I have to drink water and I know I didn't get a good night sleep because I feel tired! You can't buy a normal garmin watch under $500. Insane!
Smart watch phone functionality has its uses. When working at home i rarely keep the watch with me, at least when leaving the desk, and in my house i xan tall fine on it on the 2nd floor while my phone is in the basement.
It's a shame that they don't add the Elevate V5 sensor on the FR265

What is the name of the watch face
Yeah really nice one ! What’s the name please
It's called Cogwheels, I just found it in the Connect IQ store. For some reason it only has a 3.2 rating. We'll see what's wrong with it
Cogwheels

it's a free watchface called "Cogwheels"
@@ConnectTheWattsthanks! Really good looking. Too bad I won't show for epix 2😔

Which did you go for?
Better than the apple ultra and great battery life ,thanks 🏴👍
Just wondering if Garmin will produce one day a watch with LTE with calls etc?
I'm currently using an Epix pro Gen 2 titanium (47) and I love it!!
Probably not . The closest is the venue, and at this point I don't think they'll do that. They aren't competing with google Samsung or Apple in that market
They have one with LTE but its a bit o older, the Forerunner 945 LTE
is venu 3 support badminton sport mode ?

I don't believe it can take calls on iOS from what I understand, so that may be a no-go anyway
