Ok the Xbox one s and x won't power on without a good hard drive you have a faulty hard drive you will get no power and you will also get no video.
How to check if it's a bad drive.
Replace the drive cable with a
Known working cable the drive cable can cause a short which results in no power or power stuck on if the console boots you have a bad cable if the console displays no video you have bad hard drive easy as pie
@JoeyDoesTech unless a device is completely fried I'd only put 1/2 cost for a device you can't fix as you'll be using components for future repairs

Whenever someone says they're applying IPA i automatically think a weak craft beer is absolutely not good for electronics.
Try to use a T12 C1 tip for the soldering iron.

Another great video, would it be worth adding an extra column to the spread sheet for "time" spent on the device, would be good to split that across the profit.
Do you want an XB1 S with minor water damage? I was watering a plant and a few drops fell off a leaf and into the console. The console hasn't been opened. It beeps when I press the power or eject buttons, can't remember which. There's also a couple of controllers with various issues. One has a damaged charger port and issues with thumbsticks, the other charges but has thumbstick issues. I think I've got the original XB1 packaging too, oh and one of those guitars from Rock Hero that I don't believe works, may just be lack of batteries. If you're interested let me know a fair price and I'll ship it

9:40 petrol is alternative to IPA for board cleaning. A bit unusual but not the first time I’ve heard of it being done. Apparently it works quite well.
