Hello, you mentioned to remind you for a link to the battery as you had not linked it in the description. Curious to know where to find a genuine replacement
I would check out IFIXIT they are a reputable self repair shop that sells genuine Samsung parts.
1st timers, DO NOT USE METAL PRY BAR. ALSO BUY THE ALCOHOL he uses for the glue. Avoid placing plastic underneath and praying up, YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR DIGITIZER!!!. Trust, take the extra time and do it the right way.
Too late. But I already bought another phone. Worst case, I'm out $25 for battery
Hate to say it but need a link for the battery lol..also got some tesa tape following your recommendation and it is reallly good stuff
Great video, managed to replace the battery with next to no problems. Just needed a small enough screwdriver and also managed to do it without having a suction cup for the battery. Thanks for the tutorial, really helpful!
@Mitrix-ze9mp No errors whatsoever, not sure of capacity
how’d you get it out without the suction cup?
@@floppywrld9774 Simply wasnt needed
Is there a link for the battery?! I must do mine at home. Thank you
Any chance you could link where you bought the battery from?
Ifixit
Removing the adhesive is actually the hardest part...need to do it properly or the cover will snap....tbh i like the older design where we can easily remove the battery since the cover and battery not used adhesive..the phone now is thinner, but most people i see use thick phone case anyways making it similar in thickness to the older smartphone....most devices nowadays are fixed with adhesive, as if they dont want anything in there to be replaced at all so that people would resort to buying a new device when something in there started to go wrong
well I managed to set my phone on fire...so there's that
You probably damaged the battery
Thank you so much for this guide. My s22 battery just died today exactly 2yrs and I am changing it myself. Good thing you made this video. You got a sub :)
Here's a tip: when you order your battery, order a new back as well. There's a good chance you will break the existing one, and for a few bucks more you won't have to worry about it. Plus, if you have the new one to replace the old one, you will then certainly not need it. It's one of the corollaries to Murphy's Law. If you have a spare, you won't need it.
lol brillant 😅
Is the phone still water proof after this?
I don't think so
No
Miss the days when you could just pop the back off
Brilliant, well done, wicked idea using a suction cup 😊👌
Nice ..thanks so much ..before this I just used razor n lightly went round the screen several times lol
Does it remove any content from the phone memory when replacing the batter?
No
Only your porn, leaves everything else.
I it still water resistant after battery change?
Resistance lost
TYVM very helpful my batter was swollen and needed to be replaced found ur vid and then ordered parts on amazon
your video is very easy to understand again TYVM
Hello Mate, thank's for your content! is there a chance to get the link you've mentioned on which to buy new batteries? thanks a lot
My back came over super easy but it was due to the batter doing most of the work.. XD
can you please add links to the tools and the battery you used for this job. Thank you
You made it look way too easy but I get it done. Thank You!
Excellent Video. Thanks
😁
if i am purchasing double sided adhesive tape from an electronics store, what am i looking for? What is comparable to the adhesive Samsung uses on it's phone batteries that can be used on a DIY budget? Anti-Static, heat resistant ect. Brand 3M or does it matter?
Thank you!
Samsung never sold o e m parts to customer for diy repairs
Right, but third parties pull them from old/broken for other reason/"lost" units and sell them on their own all the time.
@@FightYourOwnWar In other words, the genuine batteries are used.
@@FightYourOwnWar
There are third parties that can do thar?
Who and where can I find them?
So where the phone technicians get it from?
@@dannydaallah2509 Most independent phone repair shops don't use new OEM batteries. They are using various knock-offs or used OEM batteries. If you want a guaranteed new OEM battery, you have to use a factory authorized service center.
Pls provide a l8nk to the battery
Replaces my charging port and messed up the antenna cable 🤕
O meu inchou a bateria vou comprar na shopee pra trocar 😅
Great job, thanks!
I used a hammer!!!
...had that battery out in 2 seconds
Bout to do the same with mine, trash phone
How much does it cost to have a repair like this done professionally? Is it worth it and what are the risks?
Slovakia 60 €
고마워요
thanks
can i get a battery like this on amazon
Depends if it's available in your area
Is it now support ip67??🤔
I wander too...all previous mobile I had replaced batteries in local phone shops they told me that it loses water resistance...
How many months does replacement battery last???
Not very long. You can only get a genuine battery from Samsung. The replacement batteries sold on the net are 'aftermarket', batteries of dubious quality.
@@MrSloika can it go on for 1yr??
@@AlfalfaTonic There's no way to tell what you're getting with an aftermarket (third party) battery. I've seen some that last a fairly long time and others that fail almost immediately. The only way to get a genuine OEM replacement battery is to take the phone to an authorized service center.
@@MrSloika yes sir I'm going to take it to service center
What kind of alcohol that is?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopropyl_alcohol
Isopropyl Alcohol. Needs to be high %. It essentially evaporates almost immediately after application which makes it useful for working on electrical components. I use it when I work on my computer and when I used to flip consoles
Battery buy link is not avail in description
because he doesn't really want you to buy the parts and do it yourself, why would he show you how to fix it and provide the links to the parts and do himself out of business 🤣 These videos are for entertainment purposes only, he'd still want you to go to him for repairs. Hence why he never forgets the buymeacoffee link 😉
@@ReForceofficial i will cry later .... am listening to dua lipa now
Of course not. You're living in the real world now. You have to bribe the answer from him. Hit the link, and buy him a coffee latte with a double shot of expresso. A triple shot would even be better. 👍🏻
Genuine Samsung batteries are only available to authorized Samsung repair centers. The genuine Samsung batteries sold on the net are 'pulls'..used batteries. The aftermarket batteries sold are of dubious quality. I've never had good luck with an aftermarket battery.
Do you recommend the upgrade to a third party, larger battery capacity?
Very nice video and informative, thank you.
Where do you recommend getting the repair tools from?
