This is an issue with the new phones. The battery should be easily replaceable. The manufacturer's want you to buy new phone when the battery is done. That is why samsung says battery is not replaceable. We all need to make it clear to all manufacturer's that this is not acceptable
Fortunately its successor, S23 Ultra, has the battery pull tab thing to remove its battery easier. Also since when did Samsung say their battery isn't replaceable?
I had a hard time removing the back panel, and a harder time in removing the battery, it sucks that this phone does not have pull tabs or less strong battery adhesive like other devices.
The phone maker are saying it's better protected from dust and water this way, which is bull. I have some water drops on the front screen, but don't need no where near the water protection they give.
@@unknownone8479It's definitely not bull. Of course, it's possible to create a cover that is water right seal, but creating cover that is both water tight and not bulky is a totally different story.
View the battery calibration videos before condemning the battery. Nobody should have an S22 that is out of warranty yet unless you voided it. Wait until the warranty expires first.
Why did Samsung design the cellphone so stupidly in the first place? With my old LG cellphone I can open it easily and replace the battery in about 10 seconds.
@@holmes1956O I know. It's what I said. OPs phone that can be opened is probably not water resistant enough to the point where you can submerge it. You can submerge the S22U for 10 minutes and it would be fine.
@@MyChiliIceCream well maybe you should do that to your phone and get back to us and let us know how you make out. I know I have dropped my lg into a puddle and it survived

good to see this before buying the phone
Will the water resistant rating b lost back panel opened?
Hello Techno Ahmed,
the water resistance is no longer guaranteed after opening.

Getting the back off seems like the trickiest part.
Id consider this DIY if i was confident i could get the back off smoothly
Why didn't you show how to remove the back cover like heating it up and things like that
I did it ! ❤
You forgot a step. clean the frame off of any old adhesive. Other than that very good video.
Is the battery that easy to remove just with heat?
Hello Quebek 123,
you need some patience but yes, the battery can be removed with it.
Best regards

Heat from the software update is killing the display. Won't the heat from heatgun would damage display in long run.
No. Do you realize how hot your phone gets off normal play and using it? It'll be just fine.
Seems like too much work
Whatever happened with the removable backplate to replace the battery in under 10 seconds? This is way too much work!

Manufacturers have made this process highly inconvenient to discourage you from replacing the battery, and encouraging you to buy a new phone instead.
Thank you ma'am

Was your phone water resistant?
lol mine was
@@MyChiliIceCream my lg is water "resistant" not to be confused with water proof. Even the samsung s22 ultra is only water resistant not water proof
