I am impressed by the steady hands you have with these tiny parts. From an old guy that's getting shaky.
I'm just impressed by how you're not panicking when things goes wrong, this is great lesson for me
No shame in trying twice! Nice work sir!
After you soldered the first time my mind was screaming "check the pins" LOL.
"We do it nice cause we do it twice!" 😄Great job as always!
Changed few this connectors on A52, A53. Greetings from Croatia!
@@Visual111 pozdrav za komšiju ! Je li Simel u igri kod tebe ? :D
That was a big jump edit at the end. Glad the phone is working.
Yep not so nice !
That's a proper hard job. I work for Samsung fixing these phones and those connectors being damaged is very rare on the high end phones. That phone must have taken a really hard hit.
2 videos o sunday.. 😍😍
When you first soldered the connector it was off one pin on each side. Look at the ground of the connector and the pin next to it. Time 4:17
Oh yes, now that you mention it. Well spotted.
Good job! I put caption tape on camera too.
Super! We can do this in Latvia :)
I'm a big fan of pre tinning components. Otherwise I'm just getting frustrated.
Hi Sorin, good job...sametime need to do the job again to be well done no problem it's imorta the result.. bye Francesco Timpano from Floence Italy
finaly Sorin changed a screen connector
I had this problem in the past it was the anchors I use the solder weak to wipe them out reflow the connector and then i solder back the anchors with soldering iron
This is where the wife should step in 🤣👍
Amazing how connector pins get squashed down by phone "falling off bed " lol
Great job, but my question now is, how did that happen just from the phone falling from the bed?
I have the suspicion that part of the connector touches something on the back plate, maybe some plastic pin that's intentionally there to prevent the ribbon cable from getting disconnected on drops (so it kind of overdid its job). The fall potentially applied too much force to that tiny area, which then bent the connector and pins underneath it.
I have seen chips from there with wax or oil or a coating on the pins, that you have to pre-tin before the solder sticks.
you have to solder fpc connectors pin by pin, this motherboard is double stacked and its prone to solder balls displacement between the layers, the connector also has solder on the contact side and should be discarded immediately
nice! and honestly I like it more than muntzing capacitors from mobos
I wouldn't want to do it with that connector. But for a PS4 controller I got for $5. The ribbon cable to the charge/LED board was broken on the motherboard side. So I just hard wired it with 30awg solid core kynar wire. Has been working just fine. Even trickle charged the battery and brought it back from the dead.
nice job
Very Nice! 😎😎😎
mistakes happen, i still do hats of anyways 🎩 even more for spending the time when already started.
Pen&Teller would say:
speaking in code, between us who knew, there was a convinient comparision near-by ;)
PC Doctor goes Phones Nice
Surely this kind of job requires constant practice. It's more than repairing, art rather.
Proper hard one. Nice job. Extra large Pizza.
I am just curious why the other repair shop wouldn't change the connector? That should be a relatively easy job for them shouldn't it?
most shops do not have a microscope or a worker capable of doing that.
@@orange11squares seriously?? what jobs do they do then?
@@mime4331 simple jobs like replacing screen, battery or complete motherboard/keyboard/screen assembly.
👌👍
Where is new Temu video?
Very very nice
Second try: no capton tape.... Dodgy ?? 😁
I cringed when i saw the solder paste, feared that could end between all those little resistors and capacitor and make shorts.
Here for phone repair
❤🧡💛
Good laptop 💻 to experiment mobile phone
I stay away from phone repairs. The parts are so small!
Hello 🤝👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👋👋👋👋👋
Easy Pizza
the moment I saw him not put any pressure in a brand new connector and no flux I knew we would have a surprise xD
At what point of the video you started to watch because solder paste and rosin was used to solder the brand new connector😊
@@markmorris6246 yeah I wasn't looking when he put rosin, but in my experience rosin is not very good for fpc, it's too dense
Im mobile phone rpyier software hardware
Fake video. Since you started editing videos you have been faking a lot of things
/s
Hahahaha 😂😂😂
It could be fake. How do we know?
@@Drottninggatan2017 Bro Sorin is here for years and you think that he will fake a stupid FPC connector to replace it is 10min job i can do it blindfolded...and for all these years you can learn a lot. So no sense to fake video...
