  • I had a sad day when taking my Ninja 650 off the rear stand and forgetting to make sure the kickstand was extended. It ended up on its side... AHHHHHHHHHHHH! The slider and the clutch lever caught most of the fall. This video goes over replacing that Clutch lever. I hope you enjoy the video, and it helps you. And remember, it's not about the destination, it's about the ride baby!!!

It seems like the clutch is a bit too tight. Suggest loosening so you get a bit more free play. I have the same bike and learned the hard way. Burnt clutch at 6k miles. Bike is currently at dealership getting a replacement clutch. Thank God Kawasaki covered it via warranty although clutches are usually not covered.

Yes I will check on that tightness of the clutch.

is it required to remove the electronic housing? or can it be done without removing it

You may be able to replace the clutch without removing the electronics housing. This was my first time to do this so not a pro whatsoever. It was simple to remove and install the electronics housing back on the bike and seemed to give a little more room to work. Give a try like you say and if you run into a clearance type issue you can always remove it.

@@StreetMotoZ it's possible to do it without removing the electronic housing, granted I do have 2015 ER6N

@@nexii1479 Good to know nexii! Thanks for sharing... If it happens to me again, will try without removing the electronic housing.
