@@aeternus2036 you talking about ps4? You don't need those trophies for plat, unless is like a, self achievement for you that is, but officially you don't need them, only a couple of activities that can be won playing with friends or straight up boosting partner, whatever suits you better.
I hate it when a singleplayer game like tomb raider gets a multiplayer mode and basically denies that platinum trophy with those 3 damn multiplayer achievements. Multiplayer Achievements for games like battlefield or call of duty are totally fine, but not something like tomb raider or dark souls and stuff.
I'm not sure but wouldn't it be possible to unlock those online trophies with that PS4SaveWizard cheat program ? I never used that.... but i wonder if that would work for older online games where all servers are shut down... 🙄 I know... for a true trophy hunter that's like a dishonorable betrayal but... you know... 😬
100 percent agree with you on the online trophies/achievements should always be banned. Good thing Prototype 2 doesn't have any huh or I wouldn't have bothered doing all the achievements on it.
One that I couldn’t get where the multiplayer ones for ffxv because they pulled the server so all the achievements and trophies became permanently locked.
I got factor challenge last week, man that was infuriating, can't count the times I got to the vampire with no deaths then the RNG destroyed me....ugh.

For Crash 4, a lot of people (including me) consider the N Sanely Perfect Relics much harder to get than the time trials overall. They may not require rushing, but they require getting all the boxes and at least 80 percent of the wumpa fruits, and make the end WITHOUT DYING EVEN ONCE. Some absurdly placed boxes make this hard enough, but the really frustrating ones are the easily missable ones.
I loved DMC 5 so much that after playing for like an hour I decided that I wanted to get all the achievements, Worthy of Legend took me more than a week of in-game time to do, I had to skip parts of stages and the precision was insane, if one enemy moved a little outside ur range, restart, in the end I pulled it with the help of the Faust hat (don't remember the correct name of it since I last played long ago)
I got that trophy a couple times before discovering the exploit. It is rediculous. But my first time getting it i won 6 in a row. And i didnt use my friends to help me either, cuz my trophy timestamps show i got infallible before i got the party up one lol.
Lol and the exploit has been fixed. I never even won first place once, granted I stopped playing after a few days casually playing it. My friend got the plat for it though so it's not impossible.
DMC5's Hell and Hell isn't that bad. All the enemies are on Son of Sparta difficulty but you die in one hit. On Dante Must Die mode, all the enemies get super buffed which makes getting S ranked a lot harder.
This is incorrect, sure HaH is easier than DMD if you only count to beat the difficulty but for S rank HaH is the hardest since getting hit just once will prevent the S rank (except in certain mission) nevertheless BOTH difficulty are hard as fck to S rank
Yeah Hell and Hell is more of a different but still pretty hard challenge. I would say S ranking on DMD is harder mostly on missions 10, 12, and 18 since you basically need the no hit bonus to S rank those because of their awkward scoring on top of the tougher enemies.
I was just thinking about how royal guard becomes nearly useless in H&H (unless you really mastered every single enemy attack pattern in the game... ) and how it's pure torture for V by taking away his options
Yep I always struggled playing as Dante and getting S on everything because I tried playing just like DMC4 and it wasn't working but Dr. Faust changed everything, V and Nero I had such an easier time.
@@iowa2854 Yeah, HaH isn't actually too bad as V, because it's pretty simple to keep out of harm's way. DMD is where I struggled as V. Just kept getting stalemated. You really have to learn when to call his demons back.
I just got the "Quiet Neighborhood" achievement today in terraria while just going down my hellevater. Looked it up and could not find a guide. It has a 0.1% collection on steam.

I think the hardest trophy I have is the platinum for Furi. I'm not really a hardcore trophy hunter, however if I absolutely get into a game, enjoy it a ton, I'll go through the trouble to get the platinum. Popping trophies is pretty satisfying, but it's an unquenchable thirst.
Ace Combat 7: that one secret aces trophy basically in most Ace Combat games there are secret pilot aces you can shoot down in certain missions. to spawn these aces, they need special requirements (such as destroying certain targets under a time limit) and they're easy to spot as they have a name under the target ID. the aces AI is more advanced than the normal AI (even in easy difficulty) once you shot down these aces and complete the rest of the mission, you will get their skin for their aircrafts, so you get at least something other than a trophy you can achieve this trophy at any difficulty, tho doing it in Ace its more fun and challenging
The Witness has a secret level at the end and the puzzles change every time you start it. There is no pausing or it restarts the puzzles. It's a difficult set of puzzles you need to complete to Platinum the game. The Witness is truly a great game.
mass Effect had a great concept. You could either play multiplayer or you could play it a second time in singleplayer. I think it was mass effect 3. Even though multiplayer is probably offline, it is still possible to finish the game for platinum.... but you know... the third one was not good :D

There's an achievement in Civ 5 for digging up an antiquity site in Egypts territory as America with a German archeologist being 2 tiles near you? Something like that. It needs like 2 very obscure things to occur at once.
At least in mass effect 3 many achievments have two ways of completing them, one is the multiplayer like doing or winning x amount of matches, and the other ways is doing certain objectives on the singleplayer campaign. At least that way even if the servers are down you can still get those achievments.
I rarely give up on trophies, but it happens sometimes; i skipped 2 of them in recent times: a dlc one from ff xv (the one with the snowbike races) and one from a quiet man (the one with the no hit taken requirement). This last one would have fit very well in this video chart, Nathan
Back in the long long ago, before Dark Souls and Demon Souls and all the high-profile story-heavy spinoffs, there was Armored Core. And among the Armored Cores, there was Armored Core 4, an entry in the series for the Xbox 360 (and PS3 I believe, but I had it for the 360). I loved that game and set out to get 100% of the achievements.. I got to 820/1000 of the gamer score available, but it was as obtuse as trying to do all the hidden endings in the later Fromsoft games but with hardly any community pushing the players along. I still would love the chance to play those again, as the 360 didn't exactly survive well.
I used to have an unhealthy addiction to earning trophies, destroyed Alot of controllers and even a 52 inch TV. (also an unhealthy anger management problem) I soon learned how meaningless they are after my wife and i got a divorce, her email address was the one tied to my account and the ps network wouldn't let me switch accounts unless she allowed it, and she wouldn't. I set out to earn them all back but gave up because i wasn't enjoying just playing the games anymore like I should. My old account still exists to this day and i even sent a friend request to it. The request has never been accepted because the account is basically banned and frozen forever on the playstation network. but it does allow me to gaze upon all my many trophies from time to time.
Control has one, in the second dlc with the darkness. You have to hunt these lootgoblin vending machines. I found my own strategy but my comment section said it didn't work. There's other guides out there but no definitive strategy seems to work for everyone. You just gotta be lucky

I know anther one. The wall of Eyes in Noita. That thing is there from some years now, but nobody have any clues about how to solve it.... This is particularly insane because Noita is a game with incredible hard puzzle base achievement to get. The great majority of them aren't even in the intended game route 🤣
Gran Turismo Series has several of them from getting 3 lap times in a row that are the same, to win a race by .001 of a second. Also getting parts to fall off your car or rolling the car. Which last three I mention I got but was all luck involved. 3 laps times that are the same I still never gotten because you need to be superhuman or extremely lucky to get. I got them within tenths of a second of each other.
3 laps with the same time is just crazy... Too much luck and too much skill involved. Actually if you try to set the first lap it'll be easier, Idk if you have to win the race too though, or if the milliseconds count to.
A guide for crash platinum relics is a huge help, especially if they were the dev relic times. Just copy strats, and then practice, instead of hitting your head against a wall with no strats, hit your against a wall with imitation, until it works. Don't even need to be as fast as guide as well.
I think Transformers the Game, the first Michael Bay tie in game, was incredibly fun but the basis of the achievement was that there was 800 energon cubes spread 100 each per 8 chapters. 4 chapters per autobot/ decepticon. Most guides were missing some or were just a clutter to follow it. I actually loved going after that achievement without a guide...
I've only played the Devil May Cry series casually, but those hardcore players are insane and dedicated and the mechanics of the game they use are more complex than you might think...
I got platinum on everybodies golf! It literally took me 3 years of on and off playing. When i got it i was playing for hours bc you have to wait for the right day and the right hole location bc it changes daily. Finally, one day it was perfect weather/hole location. I actually had to do it 4 times bc it didnt count my first one..(i recorded it) top 2 hardest trophy i went after.
I love when it's a trophy related video since I enjoy collecting them, the DMC 5 one is not really impossible after some time I reacted to enemies on instinct I memorized their patterns, also Dr. Faust helps a lot as Dante.
I have the Devil May Cry 5 platinum. It’s very hard, but it has that Soulslike feeling in the hardest difficulty. It took me 3 months and a lot of dedication, but it can be done. There are a lot of guides for the hardest modes that make the game a lot easier. If you like hard games, try it.
I believe there's an "Emporer!" Trophy for ElderScrolls Online. To get it you have to be the top scoring player in an alliance that controls most the important locations. I don't think it's guide-able, on the basis you just have to be the person to rock everyone's socks off.
I remember the fan anger about this one, it has gotten to the point where achievements were completely removed from the steam. From my brother told me few months ago, it was still up on the consoles after being removed from the steam version on pc.
Very nice video; I'm actually planning to get soon a trophy which has no guide: "A God is Born!" in Catherine for PS3 (Conquer the final stage of Babel). It has no guide because every take on the stage is random (and extremely difficult).
I do too, its luck based, and it depends on the weather conditions which can force you to wait days, and it depends on building up your gold clubs to max power...but once all that is done, you can knock it out in one night of trying over and over. In that vein, the game doesn't tell you any of this is necessary, but plenty have posted the info online.
Wow, I'm very happy to know that I own one of the hardest trophies so far. I played Lost Planet since the day it came out, and I played it almost every day with my old school buddies for almost one and a half. During all this time I managed to platinum the game (it was my first platinum) without even noticing that I had platinum it. That game brings me my best Ps3 era memories.
Halo Reach has "if only they could hear me beg", and last time I checked, there was no consensus on the exact timing. there are videos and discussions, but some people say stuff like "oh, you need to hold down the sprint button" while others say the opposite at least it was like this for the XBOX 360 version, don't know about PC
If the PC version is based off of the Master chief collection version there's a good chance that they removed the achievement but I'm not on PC so I don't know for sure
For me it was 'Beat Zico' on Wipeout on PS3. You had to beat the developers time trial on one of the races. Took me weeks but managed it and ultimately got the Plat
Huh, this whole "the game keeps going" of Spelunky 2 really reminds me of the game "Tom Thumb" for the plus 4 (and maybe other really old system, but I'm not about it). You finish the game, but instead it just loops back to the beginning and you can go on, but at some point (pretty early on in the second cycle I think) there is a bug where a trap door is supposed to be open, but isn't, so you can't go on.
Heads up, in spelunky 2, the real secret is constellations there are around 8-16 to obtain, and so far the only way to get it is to get to 7-99. you get game credits and everything after becoming a constellation, so that seems to be a canonical end. the game has been fully datamined, short of an update that adds content fans have found everything.
This is one reason I am so happy that psnprofiles keep tabs on dodgy profiles and ban cheaters just this afternoon I was reading an article about instant bans on leaderboards if cfw is used. I like to see how well I'm doing on games and it can't be done with hackers. I usually base my score against the top 10 percent to see if im improving in the games that devs don't keep tabs on.

Yes! Finally someone mentions the Fight Night Rnd 4 trophies. IMO they have always been the most ridiculous trophies to obtain. You literally had to become the best player online to get them. That's like saying "become the number 1 ranked player in TDM on Call of Duty" or "beat the number 1 ranked player on FIFA". It's bad enough when games have trophies you can only unlock in multiplayer, but to expect us to beat the absolute best players online is crazy.
That's why I love nioh, it's so easy to get 100% achievements, and any actually hard ones are reserved for in-game records like killing boss without taking damage, reach certain levels in challenges etc. Games are meant to be fun, not some sort of torture or means of suffering

My hat is off to all the people out there who have the patience and dedication to achieve some of this ridiculous requirements. I like a good challenge but some of this are straight up chores. If I wanted to do chores I would play an MMORPG at least that way I would get an item I can use in game and not a dust collecting trophy.
For dmc 5 there is a guide as well as enemy guides on a channel called Conqvist Guides. It has step by step instructions om each stage, what enemies appear, if theres easy special attacks you can use to take them out, and even individual enemy strategy videos breaking down each and every enemy to make you a better player just in general. Look him up because his guides are the Only way i was able to get that trophy let alone the platinum
There are some hut contracts for Star Wars battlefront 1 that are almost impossible to get because it requires a server but not many people play this game any more I have completed some of them but I still have one hut contract to go.
I hope Payday 2 is mentioned here. No guide would ever save you from the new Stealth system they've implemented at the time. I remember joining a match (don't remmeber how though) where one guy was watching the other stealth the map like James Bond. The guy was good and he still failed (even without our hinderance). It's the kind of system that forces you to abuse it if you want to complete it.
@Arrow Post - I figured gameranx was full of shit when they didn't even mention Need For Speed 2015's Gold Plated and Basic Bronze achievements which dropped in with the Speedlists update back in the Spring of 2016, destroying millions of completions across XBox One and PS4. There are a few guides for both achievements, but under 400 gamers have Basic Bronze and less than 70 have Gold Plated (tracked by TrueAchievements), so this should have been a gimme for gameranx to throw on the list, especially since those of us in the NFS community have been begging and petitioning EA and DICE for four and a half years to nerf the two achievements heavily and make them infinitely easier to unlock.

The Witness has a secret level at the end and the puzzles change every time you start it. There is no pausing or it restarts the puzzles. It's a difficult set of puzzles you need to complete to Platinum the game. The Witness is truly a great game.

mass Effect had a great concept. You could either play multiplayer or you could play it a second time in singleplayer. I think it was mass effect 3. Even though multiplayer is probably offline, it is still possible to finish the game for platinum.... but you know... the third one was not good :D

If DMC5’s infinite devil trigger didn’t reduce your score by 80%, I would attempt at getting the Worthy of Legend trophy. I tried it once normally, I just couldn’t do it.

There's an achievement in Civ 5 for digging up an antiquity site in Egypts territory as America with a German archeologist being 2 tiles near you? Something like that. It needs like 2 very obscure things to occur at once.
The final fantasy x trophy for completing the sphere grid broke me, after that platinum i didn't go for another for like a year
At least in mass effect 3 many achievments have two ways of completing them, one is the multiplayer like doing or winning x amount of matches, and the other ways is doing certain objectives on the singleplayer campaign. At least that way even if the servers are down you can still get those achievments.

I rarely give up on trophies, but it happens sometimes; i skipped 2 of them in recent times: a dlc one from ff xv (the one with the snowbike races) and one from a quiet man (the one with the no hit taken requirement).

Back in the long long ago, before Dark Souls and Demon Souls and all the high-profile story-heavy spinoffs, there was Armored Core. And among the Armored Cores, there was Armored Core 4, an entry in the series for the Xbox 360 (and PS3 I believe, but I had it for the 360). I loved that game and set out to get 100% of the achievements.. I got to 820/1000 of the gamer score available, but it was as obtuse as trying to do all the hidden endings in the later Fromsoft games but with hardly any community pushing the players along. I still would love the chance to play those again, as the 360 didn't exactly survive well.
I used to have an unhealthy addiction to earning trophies, destroyed Alot of controllers and even a 52 inch TV.
(also an unhealthy anger management problem)
I soon learned how meaningless they are after my wife and i got a divorce, her email address was the one tied to my account and the ps network wouldn't let me switch accounts unless she allowed it, and she wouldn't.
I set out to earn them all back but gave up because i wasn't enjoying just playing the games anymore like I should.
My old account still exists to this day and i even sent a friend request to it. The request has never been accepted because the account is basically banned and frozen forever on the playstation network. but it does allow me to gaze upon all my many trophies from time to time.

Control has one, in the second dlc with the darkness. You have to hunt these lootgoblin vending machines. I found my own strategy but my comment section said it didn't work. There's other guides out there but no definitive strategy seems to work for everyone. You just gotta be lucky

I know anther one. The wall of Eyes in Noita. That thing is there from some years now, but nobody have any clues about how to solve it.... This is particularly insane because Noita is a game with incredible hard puzzle base achievement to get. The great majority of them aren't even in the intended game route 🤣
Gran Turismo Series has several of them from getting 3 lap times in a row that are the same, to win a race by .001 of a second. Also getting parts to fall off your car or rolling the car. Which last three I mention I got but was all luck involved. 3 laps times that are the same I still never gotten because you need to be superhuman or extremely lucky to get. I got them within tenths of a second of each other.
3 laps with the same time is just crazy... Too much luck and too much skill involved.
Actually if you try to set the first lap it'll be easier, Idk if you have to win the race too though, or if the milliseconds count to.
The get 3 consecutive laps within 0.2 of a second is actually pretty easy. The trick is to do it on an oval circuit.

For DMC5 I remember watching Alan Conqvist's guides and they were extremely helpful
A guide for crash platinum relics is a huge help, especially if they were the dev relic times. Just copy strats, and then practice, instead of hitting your head against a wall with no strats, hit your against a wall with imitation, until it works. Don't even need to be as fast as guide as well.

I think Transformers the Game, the first Michael Bay tie in game, was incredibly fun but the basis of the achievement was that there was 800 energon cubes spread 100 each per 8 chapters. 4 chapters per autobot/ decepticon. Most guides were missing some or were just a clutter to follow it. I actually loved going after that achievement without a guide...
I've only played the Devil May Cry series casually, but those hardcore players are insane and dedicated and the mechanics of the game they use are more complex than you might think...
For me it was the final trophy in the witness
(There are guides but alot of rng and game knowledge required)

I got platinum on everybodies golf! It literally took me 3 years of on and off playing. When i got it i was playing for hours bc you have to wait for the right day and the right hole location bc it changes daily. Finally, one day it was perfect weather/hole location. I actually had to do it 4 times bc it didnt count my first one..(i recorded it) top 2 hardest trophy i went after.
I love trophy and achievement based videos. It would also be cool if they were brought up in Before You Buys.

I love when it's a trophy related video since I enjoy collecting them, the DMC 5 one is not really impossible after some time I reacted to enemies on instinct I memorized their patterns, also Dr. Faust helps a lot as Dante.

I have the Devil May Cry 5 platinum. It’s very hard, but it has that Soulslike feeling in the hardest difficulty. It took me 3 months and a lot of dedication, but it can be done. There are a lot of guides for the hardest modes that make the game a lot easier. If you like hard games, try it.

I believe there's an "Emporer!" Trophy for ElderScrolls Online. To get it you have to be the top scoring player in an alliance that controls most the important locations.

I remember the fan anger about this one, it has gotten to the point where achievements were completely removed from the steam. From my brother told me few months ago, it was still up on the consoles after being removed from the steam version on pc.

I'm actually planning to get soon a trophy which has no guide: "A God is Born!" in Catherine for PS3 (Conquer the final stage of Babel). It has no guide because every take on the stage is random (and extremely difficult).

I do too, its luck based, and it depends on the weather conditions which can force you to wait days, and it depends on building up your gold clubs to max power...but once all that is done, you can knock it out in one night of trying over and over. In that vein, the game doesn't tell you any of this is necessary, but plenty have posted the info online.
I've got the platinum for Everybody's Golf. I enjoyed doing everything.
Wow, I'm very happy to know that I own one of the hardest trophies so far. I played Lost Planet since the day it came out, and I played it almost every day with my old school buddies for almost one and a half. During all this time I managed to platinum the game (it was my first platinum) without even noticing that I had platinum it. That game brings me my best Ps3 era memories.

Halo Reach has "if only they could hear me beg", and last time I checked, there was no consensus on the exact timing. there are videos and discussions, but some people say stuff like "oh, you need to hold down the sprint button" while others say the opposite
at least it was like this for the XBOX 360 version, don't know about PC
If the PC version is based off of the Master chief collection version there's a good chance that they removed the achievement but I'm not on PC so I don't know for sure

For me it was 'Beat Zico' on Wipeout on PS3. You had to beat the developers time trial on one of the races. Took me weeks but managed it and ultimately got the Plat

Huh, this whole "the game keeps going" of Spelunky 2 really reminds me of the game "Tom Thumb" for the plus 4 (and maybe other really old system, but I'm not about it). You finish the game, but instead it just loops back to the beginning and you can go on, but at some point (pretty early on in the second cycle I think) there is a bug where a trap door is supposed to be open, but isn't, so you can't go on.
I like the direction you went with this video more obscurities would be great!

Heads up, in spelunky 2, the real secret is constellations there are around 8-16 to obtain, and so far the only way to get it is to get to 7-99. you get game credits and everything after becoming a constellation, so that seems to be a canonical end. the game has been fully datamined, short of an update that adds content fans have found everything.
This is one reason I am so happy that psnprofiles keep tabs on dodgy profiles and ban cheaters just this afternoon I was reading an article about instant bans on leaderboards if cfw is used. I like to see how well I'm doing on games and it can't be done with hackers. I usually base my score against the top 10 percent to see if im improving in the games that devs don't keep tabs on.

Yes! Finally someone mentions the Fight Night Rnd 4 trophies. IMO they have always been the most ridiculous trophies to obtain. You literally had to become the best player online to get them. That's like saying "become the number 1 ranked player in TDM on Call of Duty" or "beat the number 1 ranked player on FIFA". It's bad enough when games have trophies you can only unlock in multiplayer, but to expect us to beat the absolute best players online is crazy.

That's why I love nioh, it's so easy to get 100% achievements, and any actually hard ones are reserved for in-game records like killing boss without taking damage, reach certain levels in challenges etc. Games are meant to be fun, not some sort of torture or means of suffering

My hat is off to all the people out there who have the patience and dedication to achieve some of this ridiculous requirements. I like a good challenge but some of this are straight up chores. If I wanted to do chores I would play an MMORPG at least that way I would get an item I can use in game and not a dust collecting trophy.

The crash 4 achievement - Perfectionist broke me. Walking away from that without getting it still irks me.
For dmc 5 there is a guide as well as enemy guides on a channel called Conqvist Guides. It has step by step instructions om each stage, what enemies appear, if theres easy special attacks you can use to take them out, and even individual enemy strategy videos breaking down each and every enemy to make you a better player just in general. Look him up because his guides are the Only way i was able to get that trophy let alone the platinum

That spelunky 2 trophy isn’t even the hardest one, that game was extremely difficult to platinum.
There are some hut contracts for Star Wars battlefront 1 that are almost impossible to get because it requires a server but not many people play this game any more I have completed some of them but I still have one hut contract to go.
I hope Payday 2 is mentioned here.
No guide would ever save you from the new Stealth system they've implemented at the time.
I remember joining a match (don't remmeber how though) where one guy was watching the other stealth the map like James Bond. The guy was good and he still failed (even without our hinderance).
It's the kind of system that forces you to abuse it if you want to complete it.

@Arrow Post - I figured gameranx was full of shit when they didn't even mention Need For Speed 2015's Gold Plated and Basic Bronze achievements which dropped in with the Speedlists update back in the Spring of 2016, destroying millions of completions across XBox One and PS4. There are a few guides for both achievements, but under 400 gamers have Basic Bronze and less than 70 have Gold Plated (tracked by TrueAchievements), so this should have been a gimme for gameranx to throw on the list, especially since those of us in the NFS community have been begging and petitioning EA and DICE for four and a half years to nerf the two achievements heavily and make them infinitely easier to unlock.
I have the Lost Planet 2 Platin, but it was incredible hard and time consuming. I never would do this again 😀
