There is an abundance of untapped potential in the rural parts of Zimbabwe. One significant factor that sells in the music business is uniqueness, and each of these rural artists possesses a distinctive unique style. I recall one artist who sang "Marovha hatimwire Bhawa Rimwe," which I monolized several months ago.
Regrettably, all these artists are going to die without achieving their goals,just look at this old man's age,zvatodhakwa.
In the past, during the analog era, when record labels existed, talent scouts would travel and search for talent around Zimbabwe and sign them up for recording deals. They would then recover their investments from the sales of these artists' music. This is how renowned musicians like Pengaudzoke and John Chibadura were discovered.
Because of rampant piracy, music sales have significantly declined, leading to the demise of record labels. Even if you choose to record these artists without charge, there is no feasible means of recovering your investment.
Eveeytime I say this there are those who tell me to start a record label,but it is essential to understand that a record label and a studio serve different purposes. A record label is a large corporation responsible for marketing and distributing music, while a studio primarily focuses on recording only. I lack the necessary means to establish a record label, and moreover, the prevalence of piracy makes it an unfavorable climate for such an endeavor.
In contrast to other countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, and Tanzania where the music industry is flourishing and even supported by international record labels, Zimbabwe's economic conditions hinder the development of such endeavors.
