The best youtube drummer for me! A Cobus fan since in my 6th grade. Now I'm a full pledge junior high teacher and still playing with my church and secular bands. You really inspired me to start playing the instrument that I chose to love. I paid 1 dollar per hour of internet (here in the Philippines we have internet cafés) just to open youtube and watch you play. Till now you're still my inspiration eventhough a lot of youtube drummers keep on emerging nowadays, there will always be a legitimate youtube drummer named "Cobus"!
This is the song that introduced me to your channel, and I still watch the original cover from time to time. I love the new twist you’ve put on the cover, and the throwbacks (the smirk and the stick tricks) were a great addition to an already great cover. Still remember in 2009 when I first started learning drum , I started searching drum cover online , and I saw Cobus was playing this song , I repeated it almost 10 times in a row, I downloaded it , and always hope that I could play that well.
This is the song that made me play drum for so long time , it makes me practice hard, thank you Cobus, thank you for making my secondary school life so meaningful .

When you grab a cymbal, make sure you start at the bottom of the cymbal going up (palm open) so it wont hit your nails.

Yikes I can't believe it was 13 years ago. Was 11 when I first watched the original cover and somehow missed this one. But seeing you make a remake now that I'm 24 is so freaking hearthwarming, glad to see you on Drumeo too man, really love seeing someone I knew from so many years ago succeed on the grind and reach this level.

I was here in 2008 aswell , i rememberd when i used to play drums in my church, your 30 seconds to mars (the outside video) was my alarmclock every morning 😂😂 you helped me alto when i used to play drums. I played for 10 years and always loved your drum covers. From playing with blisters to seeing you improve in speed, skill and confidence, getting symbal sponsors, moving to better places, the hair change when you went neat for the first time and promised us it was you 😂. It was a amazing ride and im still watching you from time to time 🙌🏽👀 even tho im not drumming any more i enjoy watching your videos still 🔥

Man the nostalgia to your original version way back in the day hits hard for me. I actually met you in San Jose California when you did your first ever drum clinic tour. Still have the signed poster and signature sticks from that time. You were a big part in my own drumming journey, and its so cool to still see you going strong today. Coming back to your channel each time theres a new video is like coming over to your best friends house you've known all your life. Hope to meet you again sometime!
