I usually don’t comment on TH-cam videos. However, this cover is what inspired me to start drumming about 9 years ago. There’s a lot of nostalgia that comes bubbling up seeing this again. I spend hours on the crossover and had some of my happiest moments playing this (summer of 69 best days of my life kinda feeling looking back). The everlasting grin on your face perfectly describes my feelings when playing this as well, sheer joy.
After a decade of being inspired by your creativity and persistence in playing drums I want to thank you for the incredible experiences I wouldn’t have had if I hadn’t picked up that pair of drumsticks after watching your videos.

Man, I remember watching the original cover as a novel drummer growing up. I would play this song on the bus ride to school and try to play the parts in my head. But this cover was just magical. The final chorus where he just goes crazy but makes it sound amazing. I just am I'm awe everytime. I'm glad he did it again. Brings back good memories.

Wow, I can't believe I've been watching you for over 10 years now. It's crazy when you think about it, honestly. I was only 17 years old when you released your original cover of this song, and it blew me away when I first saw it. Now 10 years later, I was watching in anticipation for those cymbal cross overs like a kid again. When it happened, it put a big smile on my face.
I've been following you for a long time, and it makes me proud to see how far you've come. I wanted to learn drums when I was 18 and I didn’t do that. After 10 years I watched couple of your videos and bought used kid kit same night, brought it into my apartment and started learning. In a week or so I found a great teacher who’s playing at local Hillsong church (his name is Alex Seleznev) and started learning real stuff. Now I’m 37 and I play drums at church with a worship band 😎 and I’m super excited!

Man, this was the first cover I saw of yours in 2009 and one of the first songs I really worked hard at learning myself. I remember how happy you looked and your smile is fucking contagious man. You changed up the cover a little here, but it put a big smile on my face to see the ending chorus performed very similarly to your first cover of the song. Same big happy smile.
