I can't believe it took me 13 years to find this song. It's like my musical GPS has been on vacation, and now it finally decided to give me directions to what I need.
There is something about the chorus, that feels so tight and RIGHT, on the point. The circled guitar melody, Tom and his high tones, the lyrical content. I almost found ironic, how the chorus is about forgetting something, yet the chorus is so captivating, i can´t get it out of my head. I can´t explain much how right the chorus sounds, but it feels like the existence itself feels so smooth and colorful during that moment. Days Are Forgotten is my favorite Kasabian song.
You just described exactly how this song makes me feel, so ironic, so amazing, so unforgettable.

as a former homeless man who has faced the struggles of being on the streets and living it rough, and now living an ordinary life and trying forget what I had to do to survive, and no one seems to understand, this song is very fitting
Man, all those people saying "this song sounds like this and that" and there's no mention of the lyrics... These words are heavy, this track is saddening. Yet people just enjoy the sound of it and be done with it.

My story with this song is full of nostalgic, when I was in high-school and MTV was dying slowly, the channel had this show "MTV world stage" and for a whole week before Friday at night they used to run a commercial, I was stuck with this song's chorus, my friends who knew the name of the song never told me anything about it, they enjoyed how I was looking every single day for the name of this song, at the moment was annoying but now I have this cool memory, one of them leave the country and I lost his contact, the other moved again to his country and after a traumatic situation he became a Christian and the last one is still my friend, mt best friend ever

Definitely underrated, hardly ever hear this on radio stations and music channels, the views on you tube are astonishing, 10 million more than empire, which itself is fantastic, love kasabian, hopefully you're back touring in 2020, sure you will be as hear there's a new album in the making.
I feel grateful that I saw them here in the US back in 2012. They very rarely come out here! It was an amazing show.

I feel spellbound by this track, it looks brilliant and the way they go across that explosion right after the first minute is fit to my expectations and my taste. This band can be easily associated to the other alternative artists even though the sound has never turned into electronic systems, they want to use electronic instruments just to cap off the base but it doesn't seem a necessary point. They truly rock!!!!! And I side with the ones who said Kasabian never let down their fans!

I'm pretty surprised this has more views than Underdog. I remember discovering this song from WWE TLC 2011, didn't know about Kasabian until 2014 (but I knew like 75% of their hits lol) and this is still one of my favourites. Velociraptor is just a fantastic album overall

FINALLY i searched this song for like 5 years finally i found it!
I remember in 2011, on the Last days of October, I was sitting on the floor searching for some music channels 'cause I was sick of all that shitty music that gets popular here in Argentina, not looking for something to get crazy about but just to see if I was going to find something original and new, then Days Are Forgotten appeared and it definitely blew my mind, I ran to the computer to search about them and I couldn't remember the name of the song or the band so, the following day, I spent all the day in front of the TV hoping for that song to appear, and it did, ran to the computer again and searched it, loved it, then just for curiosity I opened one video that appeared as related... 'Switchblade Smiles', I just thought 'Man, this is incredible, what a band!', Then Club Foot and all the songs I searched of this band blew my mind, I got obsessed, got my friends bored of me talking about the band all the fucking time and, that last month of school (I was going to 2nd year of secondary school) everytime it was the time to leave, I was taking my bike and rushing to my house to get in time to see a program where there was a ranking of songs and Days Are Forgotten always appeared, that was on the same channel where they appeared the day I found out about them.
Serge inspired me to play guitar, he isn't just a guitar player, since I knew the band he's god to me. When Velociraptor! tour ended, having watched almost all the streams and saved a lot of concerts, I thought that, as their last album was mental, their next one wouldn't have been able to overcome Velociraptor!
Then 48:13 was released and IT FUCKING DID, I was just, I don't know, amazed as I hadn't ever been before, my dream of seeing them headlining Glastonbury came true, and later they played U Boat along with the whole debut album at iTunes Festival, I was expecting that song to come back to the lineup at least for one time, and finally they announced a date in Argentina, it was going to be their first time here, the biggest of my dreams was going to come true. Two months before the concert, they announced another date here, I was BUZZING, those months were the best of my life, got the chance to see them twice and enjoyed of having them playing The Doberman, Goodbye Kiss, I.D., treat, Take Aim, Bumblebeee, Vlad The Impaler and more, a few meters in front of me, but you know what? guess who got hugged by Serge when I told him that he was my hero... NICEST GUYS ON EARTH, meeting them was something unbelievable, spent half an hour taking photos, getting autographs and speaking with Tim, Chris, Serge, Ben and Ian... It'll be 3 years soon since that happened and I still can't believe it...

I went to the same school as them but am a couple of years older. I have friends that hung out with them and they drink in the pub 2 minutes from where I live. They are popular around here as you would imagine but still so down to earth.
