And this song is just classic - very memorable, very moving, very appropriate for nearly any occasion, whether I want to groove or contemplate life.
I remember when this was on mtv everyday almost, I was only 15 when this was released and Blur was my favourite band. My friend who sadly passed away 3 years ago listened to this song with me almost every time he went to my house,. I am now 36 and have 2 kids and I am very happy but every time this song comes on it makes me think of my best friend and I can’t help but to tear up a little. The 90s truly were the best decade
Peter Simpson I’m still trying to figure out myself. I don’t even know if my use of emojis is ironic anymore. I started using them jokingly but it slowly devolved into...this mess.
This song has a lot of sentimental value to me. It's a song I always go back to when things are looking down and I need a little relief, like things aren't going to be as bad as I've already decided they will be. It gives me a sense of: Can we just forget about life and float for a moment, feeling. I adore this song.
Don’t get me wrong I like Blur and a few of their songs, but for some reason this song is absolutely perfection. I genuinely believe it’s the only song I haven’t got bored over the years. Absolute masterpiece
I don't have a boyfriend. I'm not even in love. But this song makes me think about that special person who I'll be drinking coffee and watching TV with someday.
I stg, the comments just talk about the milk carton, but c’mon, this was a really good fucking song. People always overlook just how amazing it was. I’m pretty sure this was the first song I listened to by blur and ever since I was hooked. I just love them, milk carton or no milk carton.
I literally googled "music video about two milk boxes" to find this video I watched as a kid, having absolutely no idea what the song was about but absolutely falling in love with the story of the milk boxes.
I've always loved Graham's guitar solos in this. The song constantly walks a tightrope of some really dark stuff about alcoholism and the hope of defeating it. It feels like, behind the jangly rhythm guitars, the major chords (when they come), the twinkly keyboard, and the mantra of "we can start over again", the solos are the broken self he wants to leave behind and which never really disappear. I don't think it ever feels fully resolved which side is going to come out on top.
I love you dad, thank you for introducing me to this masterpiece, I can only remember when I was younger and asked you to play the "milk carton song", please come back fast lovce youu
I always come back to this, not for nostalgia but because it really resonates with me regardless of how old I get. Thank you Blur for this gem, one of the best songs I know & love.
BLUR, OASIS, RADIOHEAD, THE VERVE, we need more bands like this in this time. the british pop wave of 90, bringing the best bands in the decade.. nobody wins in this field..
What a sweet video! Boy returns to family and milk cartons find love in the afterlife. I totally missed out on Blur in the day and now at 57 they're blowing what's left of my mind. Such inventive guitar playing, an absolutely sick rhythm section, and the killer front man. I've listened to guitar players all my life and Graham is right up there as far as having a distinct style unlike any other. Guys like Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen have their own thing and Graham is right there if the barometer is uniqueness. So glad I finally got around to appreciating just how great this band is.
He really is quite an incredible guitar player, the sort that has only come around a handful of times. He's so complete, rhythm and lead, powerful, delicate, warped, crunchy, he's the complete player!
This track was and still is part of my lifes soundtrack from the age 16 when it came out and even now almost 25 years on and it's still one of the best tracks of my lifetime. Over time the meaning I draw from it has evolved and changed and today the song shatters my heart every time I hear it but even with a broken heart, I can't help but smile. Graham Coxon, you're a bloody legend for that track!
I was listening to "The Cruel Intentions Soundtrack" last night reminiscing and discovered this song. So I checked to see if these guys had a video....and the video was totally awesome. Dope!!!
After all the literally hundreds of bands I've listened to, after 2 decades and then some, I've come back around full circle to discover that this is hands down one of the best songs ever written AND composed. First heard this in my teens on and off, but didn't know a whole lot about music back then, of course.

I am now 36 and have 2 kids and I am very happy but every time this song comes on it makes me think of my best friend and I can’t help but to tear up a little. The 90s truly were the best decade
Yes they were cheers
Cuántos Recuerdos Bellos de Mí Adoslecencia
Every time you listen to this song, your friend says Hi from wherever he is now ❣️
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. It's nice to have such a cool song to remember him by.

I’m still trying to figure out myself. I don’t even know if my use of emojis is ironic anymore. I started using them jokingly but it slowly devolved into...this mess.
milk lives matter
spoiler alert
pun intended
spoilers!!
Gracias Blur
The detail of the facial expressions of the milk box add something special to the video. So much nostalgic
This song sounds very beautiful, gentle, upbeat, yet sad due to the nature of the lyrics. I can’t get enough of Blur.
Me too!
As a teenager learning guitar back then, The chords amazed me, how could they make such an unique chord progression
Yeah reminds me of some of those complex Beatles progressions
th-cam.com/video/_ijyk89uOCI/w-d-xo.html Graham explained it in some part of this video
Graham Coxon is a guitar genius
I cried so hard when saw this as a kid
Sameee
This song has a lot of sentimental value to me. It's a song I always go back to when things are looking down and I need a little relief, like things aren't going to be as bad as I've already decided they will be. It gives me a sense of: Can we just forget about life and float for a moment, feeling. I adore this song.
You can get relief by getting a woman in you life
Showed the MV to my students (grade 6) this afternoon and they love it. Coffee and TV will always be relevant for any generation.
Im in grade 6 and i love this mv and song so much
this is still one of my favourite music videos ever
This song never ever will grow old on me.
Don’t get me wrong I like Blur and a few of their songs, but for some reason this song is absolutely perfection. I genuinely believe it’s the only song I haven’t got bored over the years. Absolute masterpiece
Your absolutely right. I sometimes wonder that they should do a whole album with him singing and Damon backing
One of my favourites , not a big hot for them for some reason though,

I like Blur, but this song reminds me of a Bends-OK Computer era Radiohead song.
@@Koragh_yes. Not huge on that solo tho. Seems a little sloppy though I know that’s what they were going for
I feel I'm 13 again when I hear this. It magically takes me back to those days, both happy and melancholic like this song.
i am 13, and i hope i always feel like that abt this song
Love Graham's voice. it's so soothing.
Yeah, it's really sweet
I don't have a boyfriend. I'm not even in love. But this song makes me think about that special person who I'll be drinking coffee and watching TV with someday.
And once you think you have found that special one, someone else will carelessly step on him/her ? ;)
Try with a dog.
Ok
@@arielverosto3245 she probably already has
@@missingno88 😄. Ok. Maybe two dogs if the sensation of emptiness stills there.
That's spilled milk worth crying over
ngl i wuz thinking the same XD
This song is such familiar place.... just coffee and TV at home. The world is bad and socializing is hard ♥ They really captured the feeling
Only Blur can make me emotional about a milk box ahahahhah

The kinks - Have a cuppa tea ☕️ (worth a listen)

I stg, the comments just talk about the milk carton, but c’mon, this was a really good fucking song. People always overlook just how amazing it was. I’m pretty sure this was the first song I listened to by blur and ever since I was hooked. I just love them, milk carton or no milk carton.
Yeah i really like this song. The ending bit is great.
I loved this song from its initial release. Today is the first day I have ever seen the video.
There is something really special about this song
The milk carton just makes it even better
It's the greatest Pavement song Blur ever wrote.
i love Blur since 2000 ... Indonesia mana suaramu??? 2024
gay
as much as the chord progression carries the song, the real star is that sexy bass, the mixing on this song is superb
and the rhythm guitar chords heard throughout
Mr Alex James for you. 👌
I just shed tears because a fictional milk carton died...wow.
VultureClone me too!
So cute milk angel!
VultureClone Oh thanks, spoiler alert
VultureClone Yep and what do we learn from this? Always recycle.
VultureClone the first time I saw this video, I cried all my tears...poor milk :-(
May you rest in peace Milk box, you've accomplished something great, bring someone back to his family.
i did nothing with my life.

You still can do, trust it, don't give up.❤

I must admit, that even though I am a full grown man, the end of this video makes me cry and i am not even ashamed
When a lost child is found, a carton of milk gets its wings.
you Sir make my day, take my fucking like, you deserve it.
that comment is so appropriate in so many ways!
Tommy Zarate wait this is beautiful
why so low thumbs up? you have a great Heart, thx my friend
Wow Graham’s family really looks like they could be his family !!
Yeah...especially the sister!
I literally googled "music video about two milk boxes" to find this video I watched as a kid, having absolutely no idea what the song was about but absolutely falling in love with the story of the milk boxes.
Wow that is so funny. I love rewatching music videos from my childhood.
This song reminds me when MTV played good music
@@shintjee9860 so.... Why are you here?

@@shintjee9860 i would back you up if any of the bands you named were good :/
Why do I feel so attached to an inanimate object? I really felt the trails and tribulations of the carton of milk as he was searching for Graham.
Isn’t it strange how the mind works. This song just randomly came in to my head and here I am in 2023 listening to it again.
happened to me too!!!
Exactly. Why we are watching this MV? 😂

The perfect song when you are in quarantine during Covid-19
Rocco Di Pietro you got the right idea
Yeah,that's right!
loooollll
😆😆😆😆😆
I know right!!!
The drum fill straight into the main chords in the intro is straight eargasm!
Better late than never!!!!!! Enjoy 😊👍💓
I would totally leave my familly to spend time and playing music with damon albarn
what a terrible fucking decision lmao
I have a fucking terrible familly :D
Totally bro, I'd do the same, not fucked up family but still.
Pffffft losers
Bees Dont Exist Not everyone love his family dude.

This song deserves more recognition. It's fantastic!
Agreed
15 Million of views and you need more? come on!
Yes. I need more. Come on!
I couldn't agree more. Also quite hypnotic.
Probably at the time, this was the music video I was waiting more to be aired on TV. After all these years I still think is one of the best ever made. Also a great song
