    Absolutely loved the work that you did. The cabinet door customization was genius and well done.

    I had that model combo washer/dryer unit in a previous fifth wheel I owned. It worked pretty well overall, but found that the unit did not have a lint filter. This was kind of a pain as it would slowly plug not only the dryer hose, but also the dryer exhaust tube inside the washer/dryer. This meant that I had to pull the unit out of the cabinet and clean the lint out of everything. Once you got past that it really was a pretty good unit.

    Thanks for sharing! I've been wanting one of those washer/dryer combo machines. It's good to know they make a vented model.

    Venting should help with drying. Another thing that makes a difference after the spin cycle take the clothes out and shake them before starting the dry cycle. It won't dry as fast or as well as a home but we had one for years and we were very happy with it. Do small loads every day or 2. We full timed for a few years and very rarely used a laundry mat.

    Great video, Thanks for sharing... My fifth wheel was built to take on the washer dryer combo. I purchase the Splendide 7100 XC Ventless, and with the help of my nephew we were able to get it into the RV and lifted into the cabinet. Talk about darn near bustin yer balls, yer right about the weight, that washer dryer combo is heavy. Also, I could just about see you guys when you were getting your washer into that rather tight fitting area. I'll never understand why the people that build these RV's don't put the washer closet down on the lower floor, and if possible, over or between the axles. I own the Titanium Mystique 30E35SA, and my washer is located up stairs in wardrobe slide out. Talk about a hell of a place to put a heavy washer... Anyway, I want to say that I love the idea you had with the doors. Mine is two doors as well, But after seeing what done with yours, I'm soon to get that piano hinge and make mine like yours. So thanks for sharing this great video.

      It was a crazy PITA to get mine in that tight corner! Had to do sort of a lay it down and scoot type of operation. I agree, they do not think about these things when they design RVs. Loving the doors, they are working perfectly for me.

      Howdy, Hope you and yours had a great Christmas, and are having a nice new year. Well I did remove my doors, and added the piano hinge. That was a great idea you had. I love the way I can now swing the doors aside to get full access to washer. So thanks again for sharing your video. Thumbs up and you have a new sub to your channel.

    Got the stackable washer and dryers but looking into the combo so that it gives me more storage space, best investment for my rig to date.

    We have the exact same coach. Just picked her up two weeks ago. Awesome idea with the piano hinge on the double doors. Even leaving the drawers in there, I think that'll make a huge difference in our ability to utilize the space. It looks like you flipped the tv door as well? Mine opens into the room, making the nook behind it all but worthless.

    • @TheKuhlOdyssey
      @TheKuhlOdyssey  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did not flip the TV door, mine aways opened this direction. The only thing I would caution with the piano hinge and leaving the drawers is wether or not it will fold flat enough for the drawers to still open. Before made the hinge modification and was playing with the idea I noticed the handle kept the doors from going all the way against the wall. No big deal with the washer, but it may keep the drawers from opening very far. I would just play with it first... Hope you enjoy your Seneca as much as I enjoy mine!

      I wonder if my TV door was just installed upside-down then. Wierd. Definitely makes more sense the way yours opens.

    I was wondering with such an expensive rig, what are your insurance costs and how good is the coverage?

    • @TheKuhlOdyssey
      @TheKuhlOdyssey  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Gianna Giavelli really the insurance is not that bad. I am in the neighborhood of $14-1500 a year for "full timer" coverage. Have a low deductible and also have liability coverage similar to home owners insurance. I have been with Progressive for many years for RV insurance.

      It was perfect. I am now in a different RV, much smaller, but I installed another of these units in the small RV. Take at look at my video list for Bigfoot RV interior tour. This second unit has also worked perfectly for me. Don't think I could live without one.

    • @TheKuhlOdyssey
      @TheKuhlOdyssey  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I glued a ABS Female Adapter and then added a PVC threaded reducing bushing that I believe dropped it from a 1 1/2" to a 3/4" which allowed me to snuggly fit the drain hose into it

    • @TheKuhlOdyssey

      Yes, you can run wash only cycle and then hang the cloths outside if you like. The spin cycle actually does a great job of getting them pretty dry already.

    • @TheKuhlOdyssey

      On a pretty full load it seems to run about 8 gallons total. It does self adjust to the size of the load and uses less most of the time.

    Silicone job is very poor. I would have applied silicone onto the back of the flange and at the screw points and then press it in and screw it down. The silicone bead around the perimeter doesn't do anything as it will deteriorate pretty quickly with the sun heating the rv up and then the rv cooling down.

    • @TheKuhlOdyssey
      @TheKuhlOdyssey  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'll be keeping an eye on it as I do with all sealants on the RV. To date the silicone is working just fine. I also wanted to be able to easily remove the vent housing to inspect and check for any lint or anything that gets trapped inside. Attaching it with the silicone would have made it very difficult to remove. I have taken it off already once to make sure the vent hose it staying clear and it was a snap. I also could have used butyl tape, but again I was looking to be able to service it easily and the silicone on the perimeter is easy to remove and to replace on my annual inspections.
