Kerry, I just realized I never commented on this video. This video made me add Rimrocker to my bucket list. I was fortunate to do it this past September, solo. I can't wait to do it again.
Hey travelers, so much watching this again. My wife and did this one last September in the power wagon pulling our trailer…so much fun to watch and reminisce
Wow what a great video!!! I agree 100% with others that this is the most comprehensive video showing what to actually expect while running this trail...far better than everything else online. Only thing i could ask for is to watch it in reverse like I plan to run the trail from Moab to Montrose. What a great video story of the trail! Thank you so much for taking the time to film and post this!
The best Rimrocker Trail video I have watched. After this video I feel confident about dragging my teardrop trailer down the trail. This will be my first trip out West. My trip of a lifetime. Don't know why there are not more comments on this video. Thank you guys for this video. See you in May!!!
Is Rim Rocker a badge of honor trail? I see conflicting reports on the internet and it is not on the Jeep website as of today? Love your videos! Very informative.
Love that trail..I've done it both directions. If anyone takes this trail again I suggest take some time to do some hiking around those old mining sites and near the rivers. No need to just rush through it.
I have seen multiple videos on this trail and this is by far the best one. I don't say that lightly either. Great video and review. You guys did a really good job as we plan to take our Expedition 2.0 trailer on this trail and feel much more confident knowing the trail ins and outs.
Nice video! I'm going out west in a couple of months for the first time. I've been hoping I can do Rimrocker in one night going the same direction you did and seeing your video has given me comfort knowing I can. It also has made me more excited to do it in person and I can't wait.
At 34:48 is a great example of the crunch zone between the spare and the trailer tongue and how crossing a simple wash can dramatically change clearances.
@@TrailTraveler I have pulled a trailer on some gnarly trails and also co-teach a trailer class at Overland Expo so I'm always on the lookout for that sort of thing. Nice videos BTW.
Its actually pronounced Tabawatch Tab a watch and the stretch of hiway is approved by the state foroffroad vehicles to be on because of the trail great video im from nucla born and raised and this spring i will actually be going back to do the trail and camp
I’m going on the trail in May 2023 and I’m concerned about the trees & brush scratching our trucks. The trail looks very narrow especially on the UT side. We’ll have a Raptor and a modified F-150, is the trail wide enough? The area of concern is between coordinates: 38.35811, -109.31901 and 38.40989, -108.93364. Thank you!
@@TrailTraveler i found several access roads, so that will be an option. Thank you! It's curious if someone cuts back the brush i wanna do the whole trail 🤷
What size tires on your jeep and is it lifted? Was on the reimrocker a few weeks ago but pretty muddy so we turned around at the steep hill looking down towards 141.
This is exactly what I wondered about this road. Most TH-cam videos focus mainly upon the “overland” camping experience for this trek. Nice to get your take on the road. Thanks!

It is not. The group that manages the trail has been trying to get Jeep to accept it
@@TrailTraveler thx!

Great pair of videos, thanks for this

I would not expect it to be passable until June
@@TrailTraveler my apologies on my comment, guess I'm getting ahead of myself. We will be there the beginning of June.
Go to rimrockertrail.org for closure info

Yup, good catch there

Congrats to the 2 of you on the 1 year mark.
Thanks!

You can bypass that section pretty easily

We are on 38" tires with a 3.5" lift.
I can get a good look at a T-bone by hitting a cow at 50 mph, but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it!
LOL only $3.39 a gallon.

Glad it was helpful! I really wanted my videos to be different than everything else I have seen.
Colorado is an open range state. If you hit a cow, you are liable for the cow.
